We appreciated all the beach gear that was available to use (boogie boards, chairs, toys, a lot of snorkel gear, stroller), umbrellas, beach mats, towels etc. The kids loved coming home to the outdoor pool and hot tub The adults enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. The views were exceptional - could see whales breaching on a daily basis. We loved the open, airy feel to the place. No issues with temperature control. Staff were responsive to any questions. Good location - felt quite central on the island so could swing west or east/north without difficulty. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful vacation home - perfect for our entire family to enjoy (three children - 4, 8, and 13 included in our group) Had an absolute breathtaking view, overlooking the beach. We couldn't have imagined anything more perfect for our vacation. We were lucky enough to have a perfect view of the fireworks on new years eve, so we didn't have to drive in the chaos, just enjoy from the home. Each morning, we would wake up and watch the whales as well from the upstairs lanai - absolutely amazing. Having the lap pool and hot tub each night was perfect since we didnt want to swim in the ocean at night! The short walk to Poipu beach was well worth it each day, at night the green hawaiian turtles would come up to the beach, so be sure to bring or purchase a red light to go check them out - such a cool experience just minutes from the house! We would all highly recommend this house for your getaway!

The views in this home were absolutely spectacular! Walking distance to the beach and panoramic views of the ocean and sunsets. There was ample place for everyone to sleep and hang out and it was a huge plus to have air conditioning. The home could use some maintenance but the views made up for it. Furniture and home are dated but the house was well appointed with shampoo, coffee filters, paper towels, etc. The membership to the athletic club was a huge added bonus. We used it everyday and it was nice to have an extra pool to visit. The pool at the house is small but perfect for late afternoon dip. unfortunately we had some issues with the hot tub, but they were able to fix it by the last day we were there.

Our family (5 kids, 2 adults) all fit comfortably in the home. It is a beautiful property that offers great views of the ocean. The pool and hot tub were a hit for the kids. Within walking distance to the beach, it is a great location. We had a great time.

Like I said, the views are incredible at this house. It's a short (hilly) walk to the beach (and Puka Dog!). Clean. The pool and hot tub are great. The outdoor shower definitely came in handy. Property manager was friendly and helpful. Thank you! :)

It had all the extras like beach gear, towels, binoculars, condiments, even laundry soap!! It was so nice having coffee on the upper deck and watch the sunrise and catch pods of dolphins playing in the ocean!! We used the pool and hot tub everyday we were there. The panoramic windows were stunning in the upper living room and the beds were very comfortable! The athletic club was a bonus as well. My kids loved the slide in the pool and the pool side service was amazing!! We will definitely be back!!!

On our last stay there the new management neglected to flush the septic tank in a timely manner and it backed up into the house. We spent the remainder of our stay with noxious odors assailing our nostrils. We decided to try other locations in the Bahamas, Cozumel, Costa Rica, etc. After ten years we decided to return to Poipu-after all, our three oldest chidren had learned to swim and snorkel in the tide pool at Poipu Beach. We found this beautiful location through Homeaway and were plesantly suprised to find it as charming as the photos showed and Poipu as unchanged and gorgeous as ever. The staff were very professional, the location great. The only drawback came later in our stay at the Amazing Views-The first 6 days we were without neighbors and it was heavenly to go to sleep with the sound of the nearby breakers and wake to bird songs outside our window. Then some folks arrived next door to attend the Kauai Marathon. When I say next door-I mean RIGHT next door...their patio was literally a few feet from our master bedroom and they could look directly into it. Our sense of privacy was impacted; now we went to sleep with our neighbors partying almost in our rooms and woke up to the sounds of them cooking in a kitchen again just a few feet away-a thin hedge between was not an adequate sound barrier. We liked the location very much, but with caveats.

This house shows it's age with slow flushing toilets, old hardware (front doorknob fell off) and a vintage/almost non-working toaster oven.
