Safe secure super clean and comfortable. Close to all the beaches and restaurants. Loved being able to do laundry. Lots of pantry items and property manager was prompt to respond to any questions we had. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at Umi cottage ❤️ Very conveniently located to the bus stop as well. The house has all that a couple or single person would need, it is very neat, tidy and safe. Ann the property manager is great and owns the "Sand Dollar" restaurant in the Gap which has great food. Lovely secluded cottage within walking distance of beaches, shops and restaurant. Close to local bus services. Bijoux accommodation with outside garden area.

Umi cottage is a modern well equipped property, big enough for two people.It is in a nice,quiet area but in easy walking distance to the Gap.Ty the owner is very good to communicate with, we would stay here again. Neil M

Lovely little cottage at the bottom of the garden-see photos-well equipped-had our meals outside on the decking. Lovely flowering trees-plenty of birds visit them. Close to bus stop for Oistins/Bridgetown. Bars/cafes beach 5 mins down the road. Would def go again!

Umi cottage is an updated, nicely equipped property. We found it clean and in great shape. We enjoyed the independence of staying where we could cook our own food, as restaurants can be very expensive in Barbados. Uncle Courtenay was responsive, bringing a couple supplies when we asked. Plus, we're not big on drinking, so all-inclusives can frustrate as I don't feel like we get our money's worth. Anyways, you'll enjoy your stay in the Umi cottage. Although it is small, it's in great shape and conveniently located. For some reason, we couldn't get the cable working on the tv, which may be our own fault, but it would have been nice to be able to catch a movie at night. I tried to get it to work a couple times, but gave up.

The cottage was very neat and tidy. When we arrived there was some bottle water, soda, and bathroom condiments available so we didn't have to rush out to get supplies. It was so nice to be able to sit on the patio with your morning coffee enjoying the humming birds, little lizards and occasionally a green monkey. The location of the cottage was a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and all the restaurants on the GAP and there was plenty of lighting on the streets so if your out after dark it was safe to walk home. I would definitely stay in the cottage again if and when I were to go back to Barbados.

The property was dirty when I came .I had to clean the spiderwebs that were all over the house .Ty told me somebody had came to clean which wasn't true .I never got my deposit back One of the worst experiences I've had .

Umi Cottage is easy walking distance to beach's and restaurants in St.Lawrence Gap. Very close to bus routes to Bridgetown and Oistins. We used the buses a lot to get around. Really appreciated the cold beer in the fridge that we found when we arrived. Cosy but fine for 2 people.

This was my first time I have booked a appartement and after being home a week, I wish I was back there. The owner of Umi Cottage is lovely and had thought of everything...he even left a beer for us in the fridge :)) He showed everything in the cottage and the next day drove and showed us the beautiful beaches in the vicinity. Wow!!! is the best word to express our impressions after the stay at Umi cottage. On arrival the cottage was spotlessly clean. The kitchen is well stocked, the bedroom is very comfortable, with plenty of cupboards space. In fact we were commented on just how comfortable was the bed. As we were in Barbados in January the whether was hot and the air conditioning and the fan provided very welcome relief at the time. The bathroom was clean and the shower was wonderfully warm. While the cottage is very well stocked for self catering we enjoyed every morning having breakfast outside and opted mostly to eat only diners out. We particularly liked "Sand Dollar" bar on the beach where Anne served us with delicious freshly cooked fish. Overall,this was a lovely place in which to stay. In particular the attention given by Ty to ensure that we were happy with our stay means that I will wholeheartedly recommend this cottage to anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay in Barbados.

This was an awesome stay! The cottage is very close to St. Lawrence Gap which makes everything an easy walking distance. That includes the nearest bus stop which runs between Silver Sands and Bridgetown. I would say I spent most of my time in Barbados between those two areas so that worked out perfectly. The cottage is fully furnished. It's well maintained and very clean. This seems like a cottage that was meant for guests. Has everything you need in the kitchen, which was a nice alternative to eating out everyday. The air conditioner works really well, and is very comfortable to come back to after a long day in the sun. There's a television available with a DVD player and Chromecast, so you can watch Netflix, YouTube, Vimeo, etc... I would much prefer this place over any hotel on St. Lawrence Gap. This was a very great value.

The cottage was clean and presentable. Location was as I expected, close to beaches, shops, bars, and local buses. BUT not too close! I slept very peacefully every night and caught up on much needed rest. No noise or parties at night, in day the dogs would bark sometimes but this was cause of the monkeys in the trees one yard over. The road in front is busy but the cottage is set so far back its a non issue. For a single traveller Umi was more than adequate. For a couple I would say still plenty adequate, really depends on your space needs and how much you bring with you. The cottage is very private with good security measures. I had my scooter locked in at night. The Wifi was excellent and use of the landline was so handy connecting with my Bajan friends and local businesses. My only issue was a clogged shower head which I sorted second to last day. Had tiny bits clogging the pipe to head connection. Minor but I ll mention it. AC was much needed, couple times I overheated and the AC got my northern climatized body cooled down. I would and will happily stay in Umi again, great little cottage with all you need and nothing more at a very fair price, it's a 4.5star for me. Shaunster BC
