This property was even better than the photos. Absolutely gorgeous views, all the boards, toys, beach stuff you could ever need. The unit was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need and the grounds were extremely well kept. Michelle was great to work with and Diane was extremely sweet and social. We enjoyed every minute, did not want to leave and can’t wait to make it back.

What an amazing place!! A private suite on the ocean with a private gate/passageway right onto Chun's Beach. Sit in the jacuzzi on the manicured grounds and watch the sun set into the ocean. Well equipped kitchenette with everything you'd need with multiple gas grills on the grounds. Soft-top surfboards, boogie-boards, snorkeling gear, chairs, towels, etc. all available for your use. A turn-key spot with an amazing setting, the best on the North Shore!

This property was perfect! The beds were comfy and it was very clean...but the views...they were just unbelievable. We spent most of our time out on the lanai enjoying the surfers and whales out front. The hot tub was great after a full day of sightseeing. The location is perfect too. Close to all of the fun stuff on the North Shore. We loved the Sunrise Shack for breakfast and Ajlimo or Seven Brothers for dinner. Michelle was super easy to work with and always very prompt at communicating. We would have stayed forever! Thank you for sharing your space with us and we can't wait to come back!

This trip was booked for a co worker's work trip and he raved so much about the property and the owners. Such peace and enjoyment during his stay and not to mention the beautiful location. He was so thankful for the opportunity and said it was beyond incredible. He was def a fan and recommends this to anyone looking for lowkey relaxation and beauty.

My husband and I visited the North Shore for the first time, for our 20 year wedding anniversary. We didn’t have a lot of knowledge of the lay of the land and that area, so searching for a great place to stay can take hours and hours of research. If you’re seeing this in your search, look no more, this is the spot! We stayed in the one bedroom ocean front studio, that offers a private beach front patio with hammock, a table to enjoy our morning coffee and the best views of the ocean, rainbows, palm trees, sunrise skies and the most beautiful sunsets! The Chun’s Reef House has a hot tub that we enjoyed and a private beach entrance. There was everything you needed to play at the beach! Included were two kayaks, SUP’s, surfboards, beach chairs, coolers and beach toys! Everything was top notch. The bedding was so super comfortable, I’m planning to purchase for my own home. You have a full kitchenette and refrigerator. We made our own breakfast and coffee, most days, that we enjoyed from the patio. There is a nice cooling air conditioner, cable and Wi-Fi. Lastly, the location was so conveniently located to all of the great surf spots like Waimea Bay, Banzai Pipeline and Sunset Beach. Chun’s Reef also has a wave that my husband rode most days. You’re about a mile and half one way to the charming historic town of Haleiwa, where we dined shopped and hung out. (Banzai Sushi, Haleiwa Joe’s and the tropical margs at Cholo’s we’re some of our faves). And, in the other direction you’re about two miles from Foodland grocery store, to stock up the kitchen. Some travelers stop at Costco in Honolulu and bring in groceries. Another must try, in this direction is Ted’s Bakery. We loved the garlic shrimp and macadamia nut pie. You’re also just a few miles away from Turtle Bay Resort that has two golf courses (Palmer and Fazio). The communication with Michelle, before, during and even after our stay was seamless and super prompt. And I can’t forget to mention the amazing Diane who helps keep the place tidy and clean. We got to meet her on our last day. She gave us a tour of the house accommodations above the studio, which is lovely and super spacious for a family of four or more. We will definitely return to Chun’s Reef with our family in the future. I have shared this location with many people since returning, to help save them research time, for a perfect piece of paradise on the North Shore!

Wonderful place! Everything was exactly as advertised (though the pics don't do it justice) - this place lacks nothing inside and out. The lanai is perfect - daybed, table and a hammock....will miss morning coffee watching the early surfers. This is a gated property right next to a terrific beach, with a private locked gate and path down to the sand. Every beach toy and convenience is made available to you. Beautiful common area with great views but we were in love with the lanai. Can't imagine a better location. Communication with Michelle was easy. "Butters" the outdoor cat greeted us each day. Thanks for a perfect vacation.

I originally booked Chuns Beach for my sister and I since this Hawaii trip was on her bucket list. I had been to Hawaii several times before and always wanted to stay on the North shore. Looking at Chuns Reef Beach house knew it would be perfect and it was. I had my sisters two daughters and son-in-law with me and they were in awe of the property and views. We saw several turtles next to the rocks in front of the house on our very first evening and one even surfaced in front of us when we spread my sisters ashes on Chuns beach. Thank you Michelle for making this a wonderful memory for us and we have already decided to bring our families back in May 2021

It was everything and more!! It was the perfect place, and the only problem, was we had to leave!!! The most beautiful and relaxing vacation home!

Never have I ever been so pleased with a vacation rental! This property does not disappoint and the pictures don’t do it justice. I look forward to returning with friends or family in the future.

Oceanfront studio was perfect for our honeymoon. Odd walking through the shower to the bathroom. Great location! Nice and quiet beach. Watched whales and sea turtles from the lanai. Would highly recommend.

The studio is everything we could have ever hoped for (and more!) for our honeymoon! We both kept asking how this possibly could have worked out so perfectly. The best location, close to town, on the water, beach right next to us, gorgeous rocks, just perfection! The studio had everything we needed to bbq and cook. And the bed! We were worried about this as we are pretty picky about our beds, it was so amazingly big and comfortable! We can’t wait to come back with our families!!

We loved the location of this studio. It was so nice to be able to stumble out of bed at sunrise onto our own private patio overlooking the beautiful rocky coast at Chun's Reef. One day the sunrise came with a rainbow! So amazing. It was also a great location for North Shore activities. There are tons of beautiful costal spots all around, and it is easy to drive into Haleiwa for food or shopping. The room is a little rustic and oddly laid out (e.g., you walk through the shower to get to the toilet, there is no bathroom door, bugs sometimes creep in from the beach, and it is easy to trip on the seemingly random levels built into the floor). However, it is clean, comfortable, and there is ample space. The AC, WiFi, and washer/dryer worked well. The TV is enormous. Although, we never opted for TV given everything that Hawaii offers in the area. And, again, you can't beat the location if you're looking for a quiet spot with an amazing view. Overall, we'll definitely stay there again if we get a chance to go back!

We stayed at Chuns Reef Beach House with our two adult children over New Years. We stayed in the oceanside studio and our children stayed in the garden studio. It was a perfect set up for both family time and our privacy. Diane was very helpful and made us feel right at home. Anything we would need was available from beach towels to beach toys. Would definitely recommend this wonderful place!

Heading away from North Shore right now and miss it already. We will be back. This is a rental for those who are all about location. A few feet from the water. What else can you want. Plus..we could just grab a board and surf or boogie board...chairs, snorkel gear, paddle boards..we must have looked like a rental shop our first day as my 8 year old wanted to bring everything out to the beach. Finished off the day with the jacuzzi. Like I said..perfect.

Just returned from a terrific stay at the Chuns Reef Oceanfront Studio. Not sure why anyone would stay anywhere else. Michelle is awesome to work with - great responsiveness and super honest. She even noticed VRBO miscalculated my rate and proactively offered a credit (even though I know it was incorrect). We loved, loved, loved relaxing on the lanai near the ocean and watching the surfers. You can't get any closer to the water than this. We fell asleep hearing the waves every night. The beach toys are awesome. We took a short walk down 6 stairs to the beach everyday and enjoyed surfing, paddle boarding, and snorkeling. Michelle has a great team with Steve and Diane who both so caring and friendly. You can't beat the location - being half-way between Waimea and Haleiwa is perfect. We'll definitely be back. This beach house is simply beautiful. We really enjoyed the views from the lanai everyday. We were able to spend time outdoors even when it was raining. Diane and Steve were very friendly and helpful. The kitchen was adequate to prepare simple meals. The BBQ may need to be relaced soon, but worked fine. The bed and linens were excellent. The kids enjoyed the wifi and tv during the rain. Having to walk thru the shower to use the bathroom was a little odd, but it lent to the charm of the studio. Being directly on the beach was great too. When the kids needed a break from the sun, we would walk up to the house and have lunch. Bring water shoes to help explore the rocks on the beach. We saw turtles swimming and even thou the water was a little rough some days, there was the opportunity to snorkel right there. The highway in front of the house gets very busy and could add time to your commute to get places. We didn’t really hear too much noise from the road, however, once the guests arrived in the unit upstairs, we were disappointed on how noisy it got. They were extremely heavy walkers and it was difficult to be in the studio when they were there. Even the sliding of their screen door over and over was annoying when outside. I suppose these things are to be expected when sharing a house and I did take it into consideration when booking the studio versus the upstairs unit. We preferred to have the use of the beautiful lanai which provided shade and privacy. Speaking of privacy, it’s also a little strange to always have a camera watching your every move too. But if this beautiful beach house belonged to us, we would want to ensure it’s protection as well. It was just a little unnerving to feel constantly watched. Overall, I believe most people would be thrilled to enjoy this beach house, if only for a few days. If we return to Oahu, we would love to stay in the studio again. We really enjoyed the Polynesian Cultural Centre, Kualoa Ranch, Hanauma Bay, Pearl Harbor, and the Dole Plantation. Also, the falls at Waimea Valley are beautiful, but remember to bring your water shoes, the entry point into the falls is VERY slippery and it’s difficult to walk on the rocks.
