The "Lilac Cottage" was the perfect get away and just minutes away from YNP. Beautifully crafted inside and out, Eleanor & Tom's hidden gem provided us everything we could ever need inside along with a beautiful garden outside to sit enjoy our morning coffee and cocktails at sunset. Can’t say enough compliments about the property, as well as the owners, the Stones. The cottage is spotless, and is completely equipped to be a home away from home. The cozy and private yard is beautifully landscaped and is the perfect spot to sit and chill with a glass of wine after a long day in the Park. We have been staying here for several years now, and will be returning next year.

We enjoyed staying here, the place was very clean and has the amenities to create a pleasant stay. Having a full stocked kitchen is a real plus when you want to eat in. We recommend it.

Convenient location with great hospitality. Hosts have the best equipped B&B we have ever stayed at! Everything that you would have at home from paper clips to pancake mix. Beautiful gardens and flowers. Easy and quick access to Yellowstone.

Our stay was great. Everything was provided to make our stay enjoyable. The garden is very nice to sit in and relax. My wife fell in love with the Lilacs and was very sad to find out they dont do very well in Texas. I guess that means we will have to book the cottage every time we come to Yellowstone so she can enjoy them.

It worked out ideally for our visit to Yellowstone, so close to the North Entrance. Cottage is spotless, with everything you need. Eleanor and Tom were the perfect hosts and very helpful. A beautiful setting. It felt like home.

Upon arriving at the Lilac Cottage, our host greeted us and provided a warm welcome and some great info. That was the last time we saw them as they afforded us total privacy. Our hosts were thoughtful in what was provided at the cottage and I can honestly say, there was nothing we needed that was not provided. The cottage itself was spotless! Plenty of dishes and cookware. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom towels were new and soft. In that the cottage is a smaller place, I did do a bit of rearranging so we could watch TV in bed. Other than that, I’d say it’s perfect. The location couldn’t have been better. Gardener is an interesting small town right at the North entrance to the park. Across the street is the Tumbleweed, a coffee house serving breakfast and lunch. Sooo good. We also found the Wonderland Cafe to have a great menu and wonderful food! For Two people, the housing, location and amenities were perfect! Thank you for such a great place!

Unfortunately, due to the flooding in this area, we were not able to stay at Yellowstone. We are hopeful that we will be able to go another time.

Tom and Eleanor were wonderful. We were there during the historic flooding of YNP and Gardiner and they went out of their way to help us as we extended our stay in their homey Lilac Cottage. It was an oasis during unprecedented times. We are forever grateful for having them as our hosts.

The cottage was quaint, fully stocked and great location. Tom and Eleanor were great hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed and we’re open to our suggestions. We will definitely be back!

The space was well stocked, had an excellent little kitchen and was efficiently laid out. The owners were super nice, responsive, and helpful. We would love to stay there again the next time we visit Gardiner!

We booked ir on line, the owner sent us all necessary info. Had no problem finding it. It was very clean.

It's warm, cozy, inviting and very clean. It's so easy to feel at home and rested here. It is the most well stocked place I have ever seen! Seriously, the owners have literally thought of every little thing! So many sweet and thoughtful touches did not go unnoticed. Bed was comfortable, shower had good water pressure, street was quiet. Great location. Garden was lovely - especially the cute bunny running around. We also had a mama and baby elk block the gate to enter the yard to the cottage one day so that was exciting! Now I know why they remind us to always keep the gate closed!

The property is exactly as advertised. Awesome location close to Yellowstone. This is the cleanest VRBO rental we have ever visited. The owners are wonderful people and have included every thing you would need for your stay. It is a great place to rent while you spend your time visiting Yellowstone Park.

The property is very close to the north entrance which makes access great. The property is well stocked for meal preparation. The owners are very accommodating. I would stay again.

The cottage is exactly as described online. It’s small but has everything my husband and I needed (and more) for our short stay. It was great to have a kitchen, as once we got into Yellowstone the dining options were very limited. Eleanor was available when we went to ask her questions but never came to us. For us it was a short but great experience.

The Lulac Cottage was lovely, a cozy little house just right for two. It was very well stocked with everything we needed. The yard was pretty and we enjoyed watching the birds outside. An easy walk to town, the market, even Roosevelt Arch. We loved our stay!

The best vacation rental ever! Eleanor and Tom are fabulous hosts. The cottage was so well equipped that we wanted for nothing. We had a minor health scare and Tom’s advice to go to the Mammoth Clinic was spot on. Wonderful experience overall.

It is one of the nicest places we've stayed at. They have so much little things that you may want to use on your trip. I think they have thought of everything!
