This was our first time at this property and we absolutely loved it. We do an annual trip and in years past there has always been extra stress with the boat. (Un-marked channels, too shallow, large rocks around dock, dock across from house, etc) This year was completely different, we launched less than a mile away, pulled right up to the house and we were set. Access to the Gulf was fast and marked, same with going to the springs and kings bay. As far as the house goes, it was great, plenty of kitchen space in a well stocked kitchen, dinning area and living areas were spacious and comfortable. Bedrooms were perfect for our needs. (Mattresses were a little on the stiff side, we will bring a mattress topper next year.) Bathrooms were clean. Showers were on the small side, but that did not bother us at all, there is also a large jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. (Did not use) The view from the deck that wraps around 2 sides is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee and start your day. Under the house is a screened porch area that we enjoyed as well. 4 Kayaks were available, however we did not get time to use them. Fishing poles, BBQ Grill, and all kinds of other bonus things were available for use. We will definitely be booking this property again next year and probably as long as it is available for our dates. Communication with Mrs. Dixie the host was responsive and easy going, thank you, we had a great vacation and look forward to next year.

Great location, deep water canal!

The property was nice for a family of 4 or 5. Linens, utensils, soap, and trash bags were provided. Great canal spot with access to the Crystal River. Great location for restaurants and boat ramps. Communication with Dixie was great!

The beautiful view is quiet and a wonderful host, with easy direct access to Crystal River.

We stayed at Dixie’s place for 10 days and had a wonderful time. The house was very clean and she supplied all the necessities, including paper towels, toilet paper, soap, laundry items. Everything we needed for the entirety of our stay. Great location in Crystal River and very close to the springs. If you have a boat, stay here! We kept our 30’ pilot house at the dock and had zero issues getting in and out of the channel. The channel is deep and wide. We launched at Pete’s Pier and the house is a great location whether you want to stay in the river or go out into the gulf. Twin Rivers Marina is right around the corner for fuel and bait. Perfect location!

Clean, comfortable, relaxing.

The property was clean upon arrival and in a very good location for us. We enjoyed the easy access to Fort Island Trail beach, along with numerous nearby birding locations. Bicycling was also easy from there.

Great location. Close to a number of national parks, restaurants, etc. There is also a nice tiny beach nearby. The house is clean and has everything we need. We enjoyed the beautiful water view from the deck. Will definitely come back next time. Last but not least, the host is really helpful.

Great lo cation on a finger canal in Crystal River. We used the rods and reels provided to fish from the dock, I recommend the local bait shop bug juice for there no seems.

Was a great place to stay with some teenagers for a fishing weekend. Great location easy access to Crystal River. Only suggestion is to add one more cleat to the dock. Great communication with owner. House just as advertised.

This a great little house with plenty of outdoor space. We had beds for out family of 5, and lovely living area with dinner table and kitchen (with all the things ready to use.) We really enjoyed the screened in outdoor area and the dock. We went scalloping and could pull right up after a long day on the water. It was clean, well kept, and had everything we needed.

This was our second year at this property. What a great place to stay!

Our family enjoyed our stay at the River House. It was a great spot to relax and enjoy after scalloping and manatee visits. It is a great location, quiet canal - great in and out access to the river and easy to dock up too. Ms. Dixie was very helpful and a great host. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home for our family scallop vacation.

Lovely family home with large porch and screened patio. Kayaks, canoe and bikes available and we used most of them. Quiet and nicely decorated.

Strategic location, beautiful cozy home, and all the essentials for a family to enjoy a few days scalloping and on the water; what else can anyone ask for? We'll be back!

The property is really nice. It was spotlessly clean. Communication with the owner was easy. The boat dock is convenient. The dishwasher didn't work but the owner replaced it as soon as possible. We would stay again.

This house on the canal in Crystal River is just adorable! Everything you need and private to boot! Easy access for seeing the manatees! The owner was great to deal with and very responsive. I would recommend this to anyone and this is definitely on our return list :)

This was the perfect house for our family of 3. We were able to bring our boat and dock it right at the house in the canal. Fished right from the dock, kayaked the canal and so close to everything we wanted to do. Easy/ great communication with owners. Definitely recommend for the price.

We had the best time at Dixie's property! Check in was easy and Dixie was very quick to reply to all messages we sent before our arrival. The home was exceptionally clean, I could actually let my baby and toddler crawl/roll around on the floor. It is very close to the boat ramp and no bridges to get out into the gulf, plus you cut out the long no wake zone up the river. We didn't use them but there were kayaks, life jackets, and anything else you could need for a day on the water. Good water pressure and hot water (bc let's face it that's important when you've been on the boat all day). Everything in the house was labeled, including all the light switches, which was surprisingly helpful. We will absolutely be staying here again :)

My family (brothers and sisters and their kids) come to Crystal River every year for a weekend of scalloping. We have stayed in many types of places and we agree that this was the best place thus far. The location on the water is perfect and the home has everything to offer from the convenient boat dock to kayaks, to a canoe, and all the accessories needed for a wonderful stay. We will definitely look to book this house again for next year.
