This was our first time staying within walking distance of the beach on Fripp. It was great. The house had plenty of room for our group of 10. The extra refrigerator in the garage was nice. We really enjoyed our stay!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The house was just the size we needed and very well stocked with everything we needed. It is very close to the beach access and not far from seafood markets. We also had access to the resort facilities. This was our first visit to Fripp Island but not our last. Mary, the owner, was very responsive throughout the whole process.

We had a wonderful stay with our children and grandchildren at Fripp. The house worked really well for our family with plenty of room and a well stocked kitchen. What could have been a difficult start to our stay with a broken dishwasher, our owner Mary Oswald was quick to get a repair man in to get it fixed. When he determined that it could not be repaired, she had it replaced with a new dishwasher within hours! Very responsive and on top of the situation! Our family always enjoys our time at Fripp and look forward to our next visit!

Located right at beach access 19. No need to load the golf cart!! The bedrooms were large and beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals. Bonus refrigerator in the garage was a huge plus! Kitchen and bathrooms were dated, but the water pressure was strong and all the drains worked perfect. Mary the Host was excellent to work with. Very prompt and accessible.

This home is a perfect family beach home very close to the beach as well as to many Fripp Island amenities. Many family activities and memories were made at this beach home.

We had a great experience. The homeowner was great and returned my emails as soon as I sent them pretty much. I would def stay again.

This house had everything we needed! The layout was great for our family & guests. It is not super updated & current but that actually made it feel “beachy” for us…it has EVERYTHING you need for a fun getaway. The location to walk to the beach was the BEST part. Mary was great to work with and very responsive. A definite repeat!

As the other reviews stated, the central location of this property and close proximity to Access #19 is a HUGE plus! Also, the kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed to make dinners. The appliances are modern with the washing machine having a very large capacity. The pictures posted on VRBO represented the property well. We traveled with with two sets of 70+ grandparents, a young couple with an 11 month old and our 19 year old son. We had plenty of room! We were able to get a very good rate from Sutcliffe Golfcarts which was great and much appreciated. We had an AMAZING time and appreciate Mary’s quick response to any questions we had.

Location is great, right in the middle of island and beach access right out the door. Well equipment kitchen This is a very comfortable home.

We had terrific weather and the house was a great home base to discover everything about Fripp Island. It provided just the right amount of room for our group and was so close to the water...we couldn't have asked for a better location. The stock of games at the home provided great times for the one rainy day we did have. The other days were just terrific.

We come to fripp multiple times a year but have never stayed that close to the beach! It was so easy to haul 4 toddlers and all the beach stuff back and forth with this great location! The house is dated but very clean and has everything you would need! The two Kings were great for the adults and the loft was perfect for the kids!

On our first day there we were pleased to see how clean and well kept the house was. although I prefer a beach front property I grew to really enjoy the location. First morning while sitting on the deck having coffee two mature bucks came strolling through the yard. this was an everyday thing. The house felt like home to not only me but to my family as well. The bedrooms were roomy and very comfortable, kitchen was very well equipped and easy to maintain. the living room furniture could use an update but this didn't take away from our enjoyment of the house. For the first time ever I didn't want to go home. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Great location and great communication with the homeowner. The house could use a little TLC and some updates, but overall our experience was very good.

I rent a house and take the everyone to the beach for a family week every summer. My first time renting on Fripp. This house is amazingly close to the beach even though it's not beach front. The beds are very comfy and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed especially since we cooked every night. We loved seeing all the deer and the island is beautiful and laid back. There were 10 of us and everyone had a blast!

We absolutely loved our stay here. This was one of the best outfitted homes we have ever rented. It had so many extras like dish detergent, laundry detergent, soaps, toilet paper, trash bags etc. Plenty of extra towels. The home was extremely clean. The walk to the beach was so easy and the central location on the island made for a perfect week. We would absolutely rent here again!

Location was centrally located and close to the beach. Better than that, Mary is a fantastic host who made the whole process very easy. The kitchen was the stocked with everything we needed. Great time away at Fripp!

This visit was an unexpected surprise. After going to Fripp for 36 years, we've stayed in almost every area, but this was just perfect. Close to Center Island activities, steps from the beach and the house has everything you need! Mary was delightful and easy to reach. Comfy beds - which made each day a delight because we woke up rested and ready for fun in the sun! Kitchen was perfectly equipped - and clean. The screened in backporch was perfect for delicious dinners and card games and zoom calls. We were a group of 5, and could have fit another family of 4 easily.

Enjoyed our week. Everything was nice in house except vacuum didn’t work and couldn’t clean little messes.

This house is very well located on Fripp, yet private and very comfortable. The beach is very close by and the tennis courts and main pools are a short walk away. The kitchen is one of the best supplied we have used!

The homeowner is responsive and very accommodating. Especially enjoyed the easy beach access.

Very clean and comfortable beds. The house is close to the beach as advertised. We had an issue with the dryer and the owner responded quickly to get the issue resolved.

What a sweet piece of paradise at Fripp! Our family of nine truly enjoyed our time in this house. The house had a well-stocked kitchen and plenty of great get-together space in the dining room, the living room, and two outdoor porches (one screened). All the bedrooms and bathrooms met our needs and the outdoor shower was well used. Proximity to the ocean was primo, less than a two minute walk to beach access #19. I can't say enough positive things about the house and our vacation. Truly wonderful. Thank you Mary for your hospitality and always being timely with responses to our questions. I hope we can make it back soon.

This house is great! It is super close to the beach. I was a perfect place for two families with lots of kids to share.

Location is great, bedrooms fit our 6 adult, 5 children family well. Kitchen is well equipped and beds are comfortable. Toilets didn't flush well, but we managed and had a great time.

We had a great week at fripp. The house was the perfect size for our 3 family group trip (10 guests in all) 6 adults and 4 kids the youngest a baby. The house had a high chair that was helpful. It was just a very short walk to the beach also. Mary was very helpful and responsive via email.

Our family has taken "family vacations" for the past 8 years to the Low Country and discovering Fripp and this great vacation home was a joy! We loved the short walk to the beach, deer in the yard in the mornings and putting around in the golf carts to discover the island amenities (two cards provided with the home are a plus!). Our granddaughters also were delighted to witness the emerging of baby turtles mere feet from our beach access path! Their little eyes watched in amazement as the island naturalists aided tiny babies to the ocean! Oh, and we can't forget being able to pet a baby shark that a young fisherman caught on the beach one afternoon! The deck and screened in porch were super for relaxing in the evening and with friends. The bedroom accommodations and the layout for a family are also a plus. The beds were all very comfortable and the general location of this home on the island lends to all the added attractions such as restaurants, playgrounds, small groceries and a delicious deli! Johnson's Tavern and Dockside remain our favorites for fresh seafood and we were glad to see Boondocks was open again! You can't beat the great seafood dinners and great prices for your dinners out. Mary was super attentive to any needs we had and was so very helpful in arranging our stay as we had never been to Fripp Island. We just returned from an amazing week at Fripp Island. We had such a great time, I felt obligated to write a review. First I wanted to mention that this was my first experience renting a home from the VRBO website. I have been warned of many scams that exist, but book with confidence, This house is legit! We planned our trip with my brother and his family, so there were four adults and four children in our party. The house was perfect for two families and we even had an extra room that we didn't use during our stay. The upstairs loft included two double beds, a single bed and a small couch along with it's own private bathroom. This ended up being the perfect spot for the four children to share. They felt like they had their own space to play away from the adults. Downstairs there were three bedrooms. The master bedroom ha a king size bed and had its' own private bath. The second bedroom had a queen (or a double) and the third bedroom had two twins. All bedrooms had a nice size closet, and were furnished nicely to make you feel at home. This kitchen area was small but very efficient. We were pleasantly surprised how well stocked the kitchen was in regards to cooking utensils, pots & pans, and serving dishes. As an added bonus there was a mini-fridge near the kitchen table which was perfect for keeping bottled water and other beverages. The best part of the house was the location. The house was situated in the center of the island on the main road, within walking distance to the main club house, Olympic size pool and tennis courts. And don't let the pictures fool you, the backyard faces direct beach access so it is almost like being beach front. Fripp Island is very unique. The deer are abundant and we had deer walk through the backyard on a daily basis. The beach itself is very large during low tide, and we had a great time playing Bocce Ball and building sand castles. The pools are amazing! The resort has five pools to choose from, and we spent most of our time at the Olympic pool due to the location to the house, but the pools located on the south side of the island are great for a day with little children. The only downside to our entire vacation was the islands' distance from Beaufort (the closest grocery store) so before you go, plan ahead, make a list and stop on your way to the island. I would highly recommend this house! Thank you for offering such an affordable place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this private treehouse...it's very family-friendly, with lots of room! Our kids loved the upstairs room, which lets them spread out. We enjoyed the beach, pools, and tennis, and just sitting on the deck unseen. Deer come right into the yard! Fripp has so much to do...this house fits the rustic beauty of the island.
