My family had a great experience with the property. Nice and clean. We were familiar with the area and felt it was a good and short distance to access downtown Frankfort and Beulah. Kids were able to access and enjoy the bike trail easily. Good for everyone to unplug and enjoy each other’s company.

Modern, clean cabin with a beautiful view of Crystal Lake. We would recommend that the owners got Wi-Fi.

The house was perfect for our group! Large open family room, dining room and kitchen. Loved the large deck as well, perfect place for morning coffee!

My family of 5 stayed here and it was a nearly ideal location for everything we enjoy. Equidistant to Beulah and Frankfort with plenty of recreation within minutes. The home is nestled back in the woods off of 115 which during the day you can hear traffic from if sitting outside but inside is perfectly peaceful. Nice crystal lake view from the huge windows was great and allowed for spectacular night sky beauty. The hosts were great in getting back to us when we had questions. The only negatives were that there was no back up paper towels for the kitchen or dish soap. No biggie we just bought some of our own. One note to anyone who may want to work remote or use their own internet/data. As described this house is off the grid which is a great way to retreat and escape the grid. However cell reception or portable wireless is still very slow if you’re attempting to use technology. In all this is a beautiful property in a beautiful and nearly perfect location with friendly hosts!

We had a friend reunion in Frankfort, so had 2 couples staying here. The views were fantastic, and the house was perfectly laid out for being together or separate. We had an easy time with check-in and check-out and no issues while there. Will definitely be returning as we make the friend reunion an annual event!

If you think the pictures are beautiful, wait until you see the real view of Crystal Lake from the gorgeous floor to vaulted ceiling windows. We brought our 3 teen kids and 2 of their friends, and they loved the loft. The firepit is lovely, and everything was very clean and comfortable. Just a few minute drive to both Franfort & Beulah. Also just a quick walk to the Betsie Trail along the lake. Would absolutely stay here again.

Loved the property - clean and well equipped. We had everything we needed for our family of 5 and grandparents. The location is amazing- walk to the beach or the bike trail. A little too buggy to hang outside too much at the cabin. Short drive to bigger beach on Crystal Lake or Lake Michigan. Sleeping Bear Dunes nearby. Wouldn’t hesitate to return. Well equipped for indoor and outdoor cooking. Lovely wood interior and lots of hooks in the entryway and bathrooms helped keep us organized with all our gear for swimming and biking. Gavin was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed the fire pit and having minimal access to the digital world. The location was mid-way between Frankfort and Beulah, which was ideal for us. We are grateful you shared this lovely home with us.

We loved this place. It was clean and had everything we needed. We’d love to come back. Loved the patio and beautiful views. I’m very particular and hard to please.....and can safely say this place should please anyone!

This is an amazing home, tucked into a beautiful wooded lot and flocked by wild flower gardens. Everything was spotless and very well appointed. We found everything we needed to have a great long weekend. Even during the evening thunderstorm, the view was spectacular. The location is convenient to great food and shopping. A wonderful property! The setting is very private with woods all around. The home was very clean and wonderfully decorated. Many touches in the amenities abound. I highly recommend this property for a stay and would gladly return again.

We had a 4 night stay. It was very comfortable and full of everything we needed with updated amenities. We are looking to return next year!

The stay could not have gone more smoothly and we were delighted by the accommodation. We also loved being so near to a wonderful hiking trail. Gavin is a first class host. Highly recommended.

Overall this was a beautiful experience for my family and i..directly accross from crystal lake, which we had no problem entering and finding a nice beach spot. Lake Michigan was only 10 or so minutes away and we enjoyed it so much we visited twice during our 4 day visit..the grounds and the cabin we also beautifully kept and we all loved the beautiful flowers.

This beautiful home, with all the amenities, was a wonderful place to stay! We were a 15 minute drive to multiple towns and lakes, wonderful shops and places to eat! Only a 30 minute drive from here to sleeping bear dunes, a very popular tourist spot . if anyone is looking to stay for a few weeks this would be the place to do it!! This home has a beautiful deck and we were surrounded by lovely smelling flowers and a breeze even on the hottest of days. Very nice outdoor grill and firepit. Home is situated up on a hill in the woods with a view of Crystal Lake. I cannot think of a negative thing to say about Fern Hill at all! You will need to take nothing on this vacation other than your clothes, swimwear and food! Everything is provided even A/C! We will definitely be returning to Fern Hill!!

What a fabulous place. Super modern and well equipped, with a stunning view of Crystal Lake! Very private setting nestled into the woods with a great firepit and wood provided. The beds were comfortable and the furnishings were first rate. We'll definitely be back!

Our 3 night stay at Fern Hill was amazing! The hosts did a fantastic job preparing everything in the house as promised. (even left a small gift for us!) It's clear they've taken great care preparing an information book about local restaurants, potential day trips etc. We had 7 guests and the 3 bedrooms were very comfortable for our group! The setting and views couldn't have been better! You have a fantastic view of Crystal Lake from the large deck and the quiet peaceful setting is very private. As it states in the description there is no WiFi but our entire group was able to get cell signal to post pictures and check the occasional e-mail. Lastly, if your group plans to cook and socialize at the house it is perfect. The kitchen is absolutely fully stocked with equipment and we were careful to treat it as our own. Thank you for sharing your amazing hide-away with us! It created an unforgettable trip that we are still talking about!
