This property worked great for our family

Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us! The basketball and ping pong were especially big hits with our kids (ages 10-14) and the layout of the space gave each family plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was great for cooking for our crowd of 8 and we enjoyed the remote quietness of the location while still being an easy drive into Stowe and Morristown. Only negative was the occasional mouse which we spotted in both the kitchen and lower level, but we expect he/she may have snuck in during our comings and goings from the attached barn. That said, you’re in the country amongst wildlife so it would be nearly impossible to be mouse free in such a location I’d imagine! Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and had a memorable getaway!

Myself and 4 buddies spent long weekend hiking in the area. We found this home a great place to come back to. Condition of home was excellent. Amenities were just right. Sleeping arrangements were also very comfortable. We wouldn't hesitate to rebook this location again. Thank you for making our annual trip very memorable.

The house, barn and yard is perfect for a family / friends getaway! The location is pretty secluded, and the house has everything you need. Would definitely stay here again.

2 days into our stay we found ourselves isolating due to covid. Fortunately the different areas of the property indoors and outdoors enabled our family group to have the space each person needed to rest or follow their chosen pursuits and the beautiful deck and outdoor grassed areas meant we could also still enjoy the beautiful weather and interesting wildlife. We knew on day one we were in for an exciting stay when a black bear sauntered past the house along the access road. We also saw several deer and a range of large and small birds around the property. Once back in the community, we enjoyed time in Montpelier, Stowe and Morristown sampling the local shops and cafes with great delight. The only challenge was keeping our grand-daughter safe from the various sets of stairs in the house. The listing advertised baby gates which it turned out were not available and the manager's attempts to provide some in retrospect did not happen before our stay ended. The lower floor of the property was , however , a great place for the child to play and relax in safety and to access the garden with ease.

We loved our stay at the Red Barn! The space and location worked perfectly for our close friends to stay together during our wedding weekend in Elmore, VT. The Barn, complete with basketball hoop, was an especially fun touch. The check in process was seamless, and communications helpful. We will certainly keep this place in mind for future visits in the area!

Our group loved our stay at this beautiful home. Upon arrival, the house was very clean and the check-in process was easy. There was so much to do during our stay as well. The barn with basketball hoop and ping pong table was great, but the hot tub may have been our favorite part. There beds and bedrooms were very comfortable and there were plenty of bathrooms for our group. 10/10.

House and rooms were exactly as pictured. Kitchen was well equipped as well. Kids had a blast in the barn playing basketball and also enjoyed the large yard as well as the hot tub. Location is quiet but not too far from shops and restaurants. Owner was very prompt with responding.

Location is great, close to outdoor activities and breweries. House is awesome, the barn provided a great place for evening ping pong or horse (bball) games.

The Red Barn is on a quiet street with a big yard! Great location being close enough to Stowe Center but also far enough to really appreciate the bucolic surroundings!! Already looking to book again for next year.

Absolutely loved our stay. As a post and beam enthusiast, I was blown away by house and barn. Close enough to Stowe, but far enough to get away from congestion.

We stayed at this property with 3 other couples to celebrate a Birthday. It was the perfect set up for 4 couples! We made great use of the barn, sledding hill, hot tub and surrounding area for snowshoeing. The owner had fantastic communication, answering all of the questions I sent to him prior to our arrival. I would definitely recommend this home for a quiet country get away!

Beautiful home nestled in the VT countryside. Great place for a winter get away. The wood stove and the hot tub add a cozy touch to this charming home. Lots of great activities to enjoy at the home and the surrounding area. Our family would highly recommend staying at the Red Barn.

We had four adults and four kids (ages 5-9). This house was perfect for our two families. There was good space for everyone, plenty of bathrooms, and we could all eat together. The drive to Stowe to ski was totally reasonable. The only thing is that I would be more clear about the bedrooms in the listing. There are three “regular” bedrooms and an open loft. We expected five bedrooms. Still worked great for us, though. We plan to be back!

We book annual MLK ski trips all over VT to reunite with friends, and we fell in love with this spot. It was worth the 7-12 hour drives everyone endured. The house is clean and so homey. There was every TV channel you could need (Netflix Hulu etc) and everything an equipped kitchen could offer (many pots & pans, spice rack, utensils and endless cutlery-plates, etc.). The beds were comfortable and warm. It could accommodate 11-people if needed. The pull out queen in the basement was very large and comfortable too. We had no problems with linens and towels and more than enough were provided. The hot tub is such a bonus to this property! Especially after a long day at Stowe Mountain! Location wise you have Montpellier less than 30-minutes and down 1 road. About 10-minutes away is a local trail to snowshoe. Local grocery stores and beer stores available less than 10-minutes away. Crystal managed the property incredibly well too. She was responsive to my questions prior to the trip. We loved it and hope to be back next MLK!

The Red Barn was fantastic! Everything was in good working condition and well maintained. Plenty of super dry wood for the fire and an easy kitchen to navigate complete with pots, pans, serving dishes and extra spices. Bedrooms were comfy and 3 full bathrooms were a luxury. This is the Gold Standard for VRBO's. We commuted to/from Stowe for skiing. It was Xmas week so traffic off the mtn added to the 30-40 min. commute but worth the trip. Kids enjoyed ping pong and the Barn which is an architectural and engineering marvel!

Great location, kids loved the basketball hoop in the barn and the hot tub. Lots to do in the area.

We had a lovely visit to this property. It ended up being a very rainy weekend, so the spacious inside gathering spaces were wonderful, especially the barn. The house had everything we needed. It was comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay again. We had some trouble with the hot tub, but the owner and property manager were in good communication with us about it after our stay. Awesome spot for a large group. We were very close to Stowe but loved being in such a quiet spot. The hot tub was amazing. The house was fully stocked with everything you would need.

This gorgeous house had something for everyone and was ideal for staging a family wedding at Elmore State Park. The Red Barn offered endless recreation for the children, quiet relaxation for the adults, and homey entertaining areas for togetherness.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Red Barn. It is in a beautiful location, the space was perfect for us. The details of the house were amazing. We were able to celebrate our granddaughter’s 4th birthday on a rainy day in the barn! We made wonderful memories at the Red Barn . Thank you!! The Adams Family!

This is a lovely and welcoming Vermont home that offers both communal areas and privacy for two families with adult children. The deck, hot tub, fire pit and living room were great for talking and visiting, and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The quiet road was lovely for walks to Lake Elmore, Elmore State Park, the Elmore General Store and FIretower Pizza. Lots of recreational activities - hiking, swimming, kayaking and biking - kept active family members busy. Black Top coffee shop in Morrisville and Stow Cider and Idletyme in Stowe had good food and a fun Vermont vibe.

We enjoyed our vacation very much. Great location. We left the place in great condition and it's been almost two weeks and I haven't gotten back my 200 refund. I sent the manager an e mail and no reply. Hopefully this week it will be received.

With all of the Covid restrictions we thought a small intimate wedding would be best. We had the most beautiful wedding ceremony behind the Airbnb with a beautiful wooded backdrop and then danced the night away in the barn with some Bluetooth speakers we brought from home! The house was so cozy and perfect for our family that traveled up with us! The property manager was so nice and easy to communicate with throughout the stay! We couldn’t have asked for a better host! The house was centrally located to many restaurants, breweries, parks, and trails! Stowe was about a 20 minute drive. Morrisville was a very short drive and we fell in love with a local bar and restaurant called Moogs! (10 railroad st was another amazing restaurant with excellent food)We will certainly be coming back to The Red Barn.

We had a great time on our trip and loved the house. The nearby town has a lot to offer and the drive to Stowe is not far at all - even to ski on back-to-back days. The house itself is very comfortable, has everything you need, and is spacious. We also loved the hot tub and large backyard with a view of the woods. We would absolutely stay here again.
