Loved working with Kathy and Wallace - we only stayed one night instead of four nights because the mattresses in the beds left all four of us with aching backs. We actually found two cottages at French Leave and stayed there. Otherwise the place was as described and well stocked with kitchen utensils and Beach Equipment..

We had the best time at Kathy's place in Gregory Town. The house was perfect for two couples. The kitchen had everything you could need. The beach towels, yoga mats and beach umbrella were all used and appreciated. Jumping off and swimming in the water at the bottom of the property was one of our favorite activities! We saw turtles, sting rays and clownfish. We highly recommend this little slice of paradise and would return in a heartbeat! THANK YOU Kathy and thanks also to Wallace.

We already miss this place! Morning coffee on the terrace with this view is something we would remember forever. The house is equipped with everything you would ever think of even baking forms! Kitchen accessories are all new, there’s for example huge variety of pans. Can opener is also there. All these small things make cooking easy and fun. Space is clean, well thought and very comfortable (couch, beds). There are even candles and essential oils, so you can relax. Speaking of relax there are mats which you could use for yoga on the terrace. Now about Kathy, which actually should go first. I’ve never met any better host! Kathy is responding very fast, she is willing to help with everything, she and Wallace (house caretaker) helped us with renting a car and our doggie permit to come to Bahamas. There are not enough thank you to actually say “thank you” to these two. THANK YOU!

We stayed at Kathy and Erin’s for almost 10 days. Perfect North Eleuthera location for remote windswept getaway, sooooo laid back, beaches everywhere. But less than 30 minutes you’re on Harbour Island for a buzz. The house is an oasis. Pictures dont do justice.

This magnificent house is elegantly simple, open, modern, comfortable, and with its placement right on the water, has the best sunsets off its expansive deck. We just loved it and highly recommend this house for up to 6 people (3 bedrooms).

Absolutely beautiful. Kathy is a wonderful host, extremely communicative, prompt and helpful. The House is so spacious and incredibly well equipped. The views are extraordinary. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful and safe. The snorkeling off the cliffs is just beautiful and the little beach to the south is as beautiful as anything you would see in the Mediterranean. Highly recommend this house and area for a very unique and amazing experience on the gorgeous island of freedom, Eleuthera. We can’t wait to return.

We were literally on the first plane to arrive at North Eleuthera Airport after the Bahamian government reopened the island. (We were amazed at how many people didn't actually READ the requirements for entry and were therefore slowed or denied entry.) Since we were such "early adopters," we realized that not all would be open, but it wasn't much of a problem. I'm sure that they will continue to open restaurants and stores more and more, especially as more tourists come. (We also opted on a few evenings to BBQ on the outdoor grill that worked just fine.) As far as the house, it was very pleasant and comfortable. The addition of a full-sized washer and dryer was a welcome surprise in a beach cottage. Everything about the cottage has been designed with the beach in mind, including the polished cement floors that were easy to sweep, the cement countertops, the layout that afforded great views of the Caribbean Sea from the main, open living room-dining alcove and kitchen. We really appreciated all the "creature comforts" that the owners keep stocked for guests...it's harder when one rents a place that is stripped bare of any essentials. Especially during these times when it can be hard to obtain the essentials. The owners provide a very helpful "guide" of things to do and see. Eleuthera is a beach-lovers paradise. If you're looking for a lot of nightlife, forget it. (Especially with the current COVID 9 pm curfew.) I suspect fishing is also popular, judging by the number of guides/trips advertised, but we didn't do any fishing on this trip. We especially enjoyed the easy ferry ride over to Harbour Town where there are lots of restaurants, more beaches and bars. I never shopped, so I can't comment on that. Finally, you will also appreciate the helpful hints from the owner. Kathy helped us navigate the ever-changing entry rules that the Bahamian government established in order to re-open, yet hopefully keep their residents safe from the virus. Be sure to rent a car (the owner can arrange that); Eleuthera is a very long, skinny island and you need a car! Enjoy!

We stayed for two night and this house does not disappoint. Clean, comfortable, with all of the amenities. Kathy is a very responsive and friendly host. Highly recommend.

Great house, very clean, cosy, silent, leave the lights on fore night return. Also be careful coming down the stairs there are some loose planks. You need a rental car to go around. Closest restaurant is the Cove hotel but very expensive and 20 min walking distance. Overall great house.

Just perfect... nothing to worry about .. just have to discover fabulous beaches and meet great people.

We really enjoyed our stay in Oleander Gardens. Kathy is responsive and extremely helpful. The house is as advertised--beautiful view of the water and sunsets. You will definitely need to rent a car, but we had no issues renting from Wallace (per Kathy's recommendation). It takes a little getting used to Eleuthera prices (so expensive!), but we had some wonderful meals on the island. The only downside to the house is that it is not walkable to a great beach, but we had no issues driving around the island exploring other beaches.

We just got back from a wonderful week vacation and destination wedding at the Cove Resort. All we can say is WOW. Everything about the house from the simplistic detail, to the view and the location on the island were perfect and exactly as shown. Kathy was a dream to work with and always replied quickly and with detail. For larger groups - the house next door along with this house would a killer setup for groups traveling together. We would undoubtedly stay here again.

We have stayed in a number of homes in the area and this house is by far the most relaxing and comfortable places we have stayed. Bright and airy, it is such a peaceful retreat after full days out exploring the wild beaches and beauty of Eleuthera. The kitchen is equipped for easy, vacation cooking. Beach towels and snorkel gear are provided. Our trip was a perfect holiday escape and this house made it a very memorable trip. Wallace, the caretaker, welcomed us at the airport and was available throughout our stay if we needed anything. We highly recommend this island and home for those looking for a great vacation with teenagers, we all loved it.

We absolutely loved this rental house. This house is right next door to the other rental and right around the corner from the Cove. The decor is contemporary and clean. We loved our time here and would book again in a heart beat! Highly recommend!!!

Our family of 4 had a fantastic stay in the beautiful Oleander Gardens cottage. The home was clean, beautifully decorated, and perfectly situated for our activities. Kathy was responsive and gracious in helping us make our plans. The home, the amazing beaches, the restaurants (Laughing Lizard, Daddy Joes...) and the vacation overall were everything we were looking for. We had so many adventures and have wonderful memories of our visits with Wallace, Ponytail Pete, Miss Veronica & many more wonderful people. We would absolutely go back to Eleuthera (we also visited Nassau, Paradise Island, Harbor Island) and would rent from this owner again. Thank you so much!

Perfect vacation on a magical island! The house itself was lovely with gorgeous water views that simply were mesmerizing. We particularly loved the modern clean feel of the decor inside the home. Very well done, and not one complaint, except when we had to leave the island. If you are lucky enough to visit Eleuthera, you will absolutely not be disappointed with this house. We can't wait to return!

All I can say is that this place is amazing. House is beautiful and location awesome. The owners make everything easy. Whether you want to relax or explore, it's the perfect place to lose yourself for a few days.
