This property was an amazing find for a quick 2-night stay in Paia Town! It was extremely comfortable, clean, and stocked with so many amenities/touches that exceeded our expectations (including coffee/tea fixings, basic condiments, plenty of kitchen dishes/appliances/hot plate/etc., shower gel/shampoo, and extra linens). With limited accommodation options in this area, we were pleasantly surprised to find such a gem. Avis was so friendly and very quick to communicate when we had a couple of questions. Her care for and pride in this space is so evident. We loved the quick walk into the main stretch of town at our leisure, especially as parking down here is such a challenge. So easy and enjoyable. The only detail that I would be aware of prior to selecting this property is that the walls are very thin. If I recall, the listing reviews/details are very transparent on this point, and it is even discussed on the information sheet present in the unit. So not a surprise, but worth noting if this is something you can't get past. Even with very respectful neighbors, we could clearly hear conversation. If a family were staying with kids, etc., or if we had less considerate neighbors, this could have been a bummer. As it was, it was our only small complaint in what was otherwise a perfect stay, and we would 100% stay here again!

Great unit - clean - love the lanai. Bed is comfortable - kitchen has very little silverware but seemed to have mostly everything else. Honestly never used it - other than glasses and silverware for take out. Not crazy about the area - lots of homeless people and run down area as you walk into town. But the owner is a very nice lady who has lived there her whole life - I am just a bit of scaredy cat! Overall the place is great - location not so good.

This property was perfect for our family. The management was awesome and even provided a small cot for our little one. Highly recommend if in Paia.

Husband and I stayed 3 nights. Nice location with easy access to beaches and downtown. Room has a fridge, cook top, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker (and Kurig) -( but go visit Better Things coffee shop at least once ). The shower and water pressure was so nice. Cute little sitting area right outside the room. Air conditioning worked good.

Avis was a fantastic host, and her home was perfect. We enjoyed walking into town every morning for a cup of coffee and sitting on the private patio in the afternoon for drinks. I highly suggest staying in this home. Great location.

I have to say staying in Paia was such an amazing choice for our family, it was just what we needed & the area was so beautiful & not as “touristy” as the surrounding parts. The complimentary beach chairs, and umbrellas were such a nice touch & just what we needed! Super close to the beach & local spots. The space itself is super clean & we felt right at home!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for half our trip to Maui and LOVED it! It’s an amazing location just steps from the heart of Paia. It was the perfect starting point for the Road to Hana and a convenient trip to Haleakalā. Avis was a wonderful host and had great amenities like a little gym, several porch areas, laundry, and coolers/chairs for the beach. If you’re looking for a convenient place to rest after active days, you really can’t beat this!

We were not able to check in until an hour after the specified check in time, the walls are very thin and you hear everything upstairs and nextdoor, the wi-fi did not work, the laundry facilities are shared and coin operated which is absurd given the price paid for a no frills accommodation. The location is convenient for the drive to Hana or for walking to the tiny town of Paia. One night here is manageable, but I'd book earlier next time and fine more value for my money.

Place was fully stocked clean and accessible. Close to Paia which is really nice too. Avis is delightful and very responsive/helpful. Would stay again.

The Sunset studio was perfect for our short stay in Paia. I can't imagine someone with more Aloha spirit than the host, Avis. She greeted us when we arrived and was nothing but smiles. She even gave us tips and tricks to make our stay in Paia and venture down the road to Hana a great experience. The unit itself was perfect: clean, comfortable, AC, kitchenette, and plenty of space. We had just been backpacking in Kaui, so it was a huge bonus that there was laundry on site. The best part was the location - a 5 (10 max) minute walk to the store, restaurants, and beaches. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great little spot! Visiting Maui for a month and choice to stay in Paia a few days and picked the sunset suite! Perfect location to walk to the center of Paia. Highly recommend a this as a low key, friendly and safe place to stay.

This studio was really close to Pa'ia town, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful at night. We did hear some activity and voices carrying from the other units, but it didn't disturb our sleep or anything. The unit was clean and cute—the only thing I would suggest is either don't plan on trying to cook anything on the single burner hotplate, or maybe the owner could look into a slightly higher-quality hotplate or cooktop. I tried to boil water for pasta and it took 20 minutes 😂 In any case, this place was great.

A short walk down to Paia near the shops and restaraunts. The beach chairs and cooler provided were a nice touch. This is the perfect place to stay if you want something nice and affordable away from the big condos and resort type spots. Very easy to get to and from airport. (Less than 20 mins.) Great beaches nearby with easy parking. Also a perfect starting spot for Road to Hana. Avis always responded promptly anytime we had a question. Of course not expected, but was much appreciated!

Absolutely perfect choice for me and my wife. Our trip was was in celebration of a milestone birthday for my wife, as HI was a bucket list for her. This place is located about 10 or 15 minutes east of the airport, so it is nice to get to your accommodations so quickly after the long journey to the island. When you are ready to venture out from the apartment, there is a small convenience store right next to the property, or the quaint downtown area is a short 3 to 5 minute walk up the street. This was also a fantastic place to use as a jump off to do the Road to Hana the next day. In particular because we started our Maui visit at Paia. We were still on mainland time, so we were up and about by 4 AM! The unit included a couple beach chairs, a cooler, and an umbrella for us to use. That made it sooooo easy to pack up and get on the road, to get that early start, which makes the Road to Hana trip so much more enjoyable as we had the road, and a lot of the stops, all to ourselves, virtually. Lastly, Avis was an absolute pleasure to have as a property manager! She is super available, super accommodating, and super nice! Thank you Avis for making part 1 of our trip, and our first impression of HI, as perfect as possible. So grateful!

We had a wonderful stay! Wanting to spend a few nights on this side of the island, enjoy the fun vibe and cuisine Paia has to offer and drive the Road to Hana. This location was absolutely perfect, easy to find, just a few blocks off the main road. We will definitely recommend this to others!!

Property was almost perfect for us. A little small, but met our needs. Only two issues for us were that the bed was probably not even a queen - I think it was a full - and that the walls are super thin. There are two rentals in this cottage and we felt we always had to he be so quiet, as we could hear the other couple next to us plain as day as well. Otherwise loved it. We sat at the little kitchen table a lot. The free movies on tv were a fun way to end the night. Shower is gorgeous. Quaint little studio. We walked into town often. There is a convenience store literally right next door that sells drinks and snacks. We fell in love with Paia and are so happy that by luck we ended up in this town. Avis, the owner, is super friendly and at your beck and call if you need anything. You have your own little table and chairs outside too and we sat out there often. There were beach towels and even fancy beach chairs with little drink coolers built right in. Loved having the garage that adjoined the cottage so you never got wet walking in (it rained a lot on our trip). Overall, very pleased.

The studio is lovely - very clean, really well located (a few minutes walk into the middle of Paia), and quiet. With all the things I needed for the beach (towels, chairs, boogie board!) and other adventures (cooler!). And Avis is terrific - communicative and quick with recommendations while not at all invasive. I would absolutely stay here again.

The owner was extremely personable with many suggestions of what to do but we never felt like she was imposing on us ( we started most conversation ). The property is walking distance to Paia. Perfect to explore the town or get a meal during the day without having to find a parking space. Room was extremely clean and spacious

Nicely furnished and very comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will return. Close to downtown Paia (walking distance) and very quiet. The owner (Avis) is great and takes great care of the place. I was alone but there is enough room where it could easily accommodate another person, maybe two more.

Place felt a bit small at first. Nice to enjoy morning coffee and evening drinks on the lanai. AC good, and necessary. Clean and tidy upon our arrival. Parking, free, a bonus. Prepared some light meals in cooking area. Thanks Avis.
