My friends and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house on the LI sound, just steps from its own private beach. The view is spectacular and the pictures of the unique, yet charming property don’t do it justice. The caretaker of the property was easily accessible and answered any questions and concerns almost immediately. The house was immaculately clean and perfect for a large group. The consensus of our group was we can’t wait to go back!

A wonderful rental experience. The house is absolutely stunning, we are Greenport regulars and this was the first time we just wanted to stay in and enjoy the property! We were a group of young families and the house was perfect. Great space and it has everything you could need. This house is very unique and felt like a piece of art. Communication with the property manager was very easy, we hope to return very soon. Thank you!

Our group had the best time - this home is just so special! It truly takes your breath away to walk in the front door. The owners have done such a beautiful job preserving the history of the home and the interior is designed with so much imagination and attention to detail. We had a group of 12 with plenty of room. I’d recommend enjoying a meal in the home with such a great kitchen and dining area. Hope to come back again!

Amazing house

Absolutely loved this house and location! This is the perfect spot for a large group, the common spaces are beautifully decorated with so much character and large enough for our group of 12. Also a few steps from the beach with amazing views. Mary was responsive and so accommodating. Even shipped a box of things we left behind! 10/10 experience all around!

All I can say is WOW! What a breathtaking property and experience. A massive thank you to Mary and Caroline and the whole team. They were fabulous to work with and incredibly responsive and helpful. They made the entire process really pleasant and seamless and were flexible. Thank you! Now, to the house. What an amazing experience. We all agreed: it was one of the most magical I have ever seen. Every corner of the house had something special and historical. I could have explored the place every day for a week and found something unique during every exploration. It was the perfect mixture of old and historic, yet comfortable and welcoming. The artwork, the furniture, the views. Perfection. And outside the house, the property was spectacular. Beautiful manicured grass and rolling hills, access to the water, gorgeous pool and so much more. We were as careful as possible with the windows and doors, as many are quite old, but Mary's instructions were clear and helpful. We rented the house with our friends and family during our wedding weekend (we had a rehearsal dinner in Greenport and ceremony/reception in Southold) and it was the perfect spot - it slept 5 couples and 3 singles comfortably. We didn't spend nearly enough time at the house - mostly just slept there - but wish we had rented a few more days. We never wanted to leave. If I ever have the privilege again, I would absolutely rent this property. We couldn't recommend it more.

We really enjoyed our stay! Felt like home

You can’t really find a more magical house in a more magical place. Even in winter, we found ourselves enjoying the beach, which was private, dramatic, and offered glorious sunsets. We even jumped in the water. The house is exquisite, fun, comfortable, elegant and sprawling. Enough room here for 3 families easy. Kitchen was such a pleasure. There wasn’t anything we needed — they have one of everything. Jesse was great, as was Mary, the house manager. A lovely experience. Look no farther. Rent this place!

We’ve been to many places but there really is no place to that us like this one. As soon as we drove up to the house we were in awe of its beauty and history. Our family spent a long weekend to escape Brooklyn and spent the days playing on the large areas of grass, cooking in a kitchen that has everything you could possibly need, speaking around the fireplace and fire pit, movie nights in the large and comfy tv room, dancing with the awesome Sonos, taking walks in the beach and sleeping in the many and comfortable beds. So wonderfully decorated and filled will so much cool furniture and natural light, it was like a dream we didn’t want to end, Before be left, we all wondered when we could come back for more sunset on the beach and calm that the house brought. What a wonderful place that is clean & beautiful. Communication was clear and check in and check our were seamless. Directions for the house were easy and overall the best stays we’ve ever had! Mary was always available for questions and so was Jesse. Thank you for having us and please do let us know when we can return in the summer.

As we pulled up to this property I was awed! It is very private and inviting. The home is extraordinary and the lush green grass on rolling hills that end in path to the beach. ( The stairs to the beach are very manageable )There is a beautiful pool and grounds.When you enter the home and explore the rooms it does not disappoint - it really does feel like you stepped into a different era. It was so grand yet cozy and comfortable. We loved it and would love to return

This property was awesome. Something for everyone to do. The kids loved this house, smiles all day long. Wonderful visit and stay on the North Fork.

The kitchen was very well stocked. The beds were all comfortable. The private beach and the view from the tower are stunning. The team involved in renting the property were responsive an give very detailed instructions covering pretty much any question you might have about the house, nearby activities, recommended restaurants, etc. I've already recommended friends stay here and my family is hoping to visit again as well.

We stayed at the House the weekend of our daughter's wedding at Raphael Vineyards. The house was amazing and every bit as wonderful as the wedding! Family and friends gathered at the house before and after the wedding. It was very warm and welcoming. The wedding party dressed at the house and many of the pre-wedding pictures were taken there. All spectacular! The beds were comfortable, the house clean, the kitchen to die for and the setting and grounds were magnificent. We are already planning our next stay.

If you've ever wondered what it's like to live in another time, this house is for you. From the moment we arrived at the Tower at Rocky Point, we felt like we'd traveled back in time 100 years. We love historic homes this one does not disappoint. If you want atmosphere, this is it. Even your children will love it. You feel as if you are staying in the home of friends. The six, wonderfully decorated bedrooms are warm and comfortable. Four bathrooms are more than enough for all guests and two have claw foot tubs for those who want to take a relaxing soak after a day out and about. The view from the master bedroom is amazing with a private balcony where we watched the waves crashing over the rocks (you can even see the waves from sitting on the bed!). The grounds are stunning and a short walk down the backyard path leads you to a private, rocky beach. You may see herds of deer running through the property, we did. There is plenty of privacy and the decks around the house are great for sitting with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. If you like to cook, the kitchen is a cook's paradise. Fully equipped with all utensils and cook/bakeware you could ever need, we made all of our meals at the house. If you aren't inclined to cook yourself, there are numerous restaurants in nearby Greenport and neighboring towns. There is a huge wall of windows in the dining area and plenty of seating for everyone. In fact, there are places all over the home to sit and enjoy yourself. Antique and vintage furniture that is meant to be enjoyed and not locked away 'for company' is everywhere. We used the fireplace all three nights, there is plenty of firewood! All of us swore that there was no place in there that we didn't enjoy being in. We kept rotating rooms just so we could experience it all! (If you need to stay in touch with the 21st century, there is a loft room with 65 inch tv and wi-fi access). You cannot stay at this house without exploring The Tower! The first night we were there, we went right up to see it. It's fairly easy to climb the very sturdy stairs and we were amazed at the view. My husband loved it so much he even went up there one day to play guitar. We had a blast for my husband's birthday and we plan to go back very soon. We were sorry to leave but excited to know it is very close and we can easily return. I highly recommend you stay here at least once.

Our family stayed at the Rockypoint house in July 2011 and it has been one of the nicest vacations - if you are looking for a place to unwind and relax, and within a 2-hour drive from the city - this enchanted house and garden will do the trick: picturesque sunrises and sunsets, privacy at the rocky and beautifully rough beach (most of the time, but especially if you go there at sunrise), solitary swims in the pool surrounded by dense "jungle"... bird, rabbit and deer-watching while you dine outside, and majestic vistas from the stunning and unique tower. We had our two grown children with us, each of whom invited a friend over at some point - and the place did not feel crowded at all - everyone had enough space for being alone and to socialize when we felt like it... Of course, the town of Greenport with its many restaurants, little shops and galleries is just around the corner - so dining out is easy, with a short car-ride. The lavender field with a nice shop at the end of the Rockypoint Road was a source of many fragrant souvenirs and gifts we took home, as well as some interesting wines from the local wineries... hope to come back another time. My family spent Colombus Day weekend at this house and it was amazing. The house is so large and the property is beautiful. It has plenty of room for everyone and pictures do not do it justice. The area around the house is great with wineries, pumpkin picking and Greenport at your back door. We are hoping to return again some time in the future.
