This home is outstanding we had the most amazing time.

Beautiful property, great location!

To sum it up- it was a family trip for the ages! One that exceeded expectations. The house was spectacular in so many ways. A must-stay if your plans take you to the Glacier Park area.

Wow! This home was obviously completely renovated and the architecture modernized very recently. Plenty of space and everything you need is there. The view out the back will blow you away. We did experience an unusual heavy snow storm during our June stay, which negatively affected our hiking and outdoor plans, but it provided another amazing view from the house.

When we pulled into the Elk Highlands neighborhood and were greeted by black-tailed mule deer lazily feeding along the road and finally turned into the driveway of this home, straight out of a luxury mountain home magazine, we knew that we had rented something completely unique and special. After a brief orientation by the property manager, we simply stopped and stared at the expansive view of mountain ranges, peaks, and lakes. We spent countless hours simply lounging in the hot tub (during a snow storm) or relaxing by the fire pit (on milder, sunnier days and snowy colder days, alike) watching a Bald Eagle circle above more deer literally napping in the yard. The occasional train snaked its way along the lake and through the valley, providing an aerial perspective that was fascinating to watch and an echoing train whistle that was ghostly to hear. The abundant kitchen (with double dishwashers) was stocked with everything needed to cook French one evening and everything we could grill for a meat coma another evening. While some of us took advantage of a really nice gym (so I hear), others played pool, ping pong, or sat by one of several fireplaces. There was everything you needed to enjoy the company of all, and plenty of room to escape it. I simply cannot reiterate how much better this home and its views appear in person. Do not miss out on staying here!

The property was immaculate. We were in a private oasis of Montana bliss. With 3 children ranging from ages 1 to 5 and 6 adults, the property felt like a magical palace for all of us. From simple custom touches to luxury finishes, our accommodations did not disappoint. The fully stocked kitchen was complete with every thing you might need from a wok to a baking and cupcake pans. A short trip to the local Safeway was welcome because everyone we met was friendly and helpful. We will be back for more Montana fun! PS - we hesitate to share how great our stay was because Whitefish has become our best kept secret.

What an amazing property! We have been using VRBO for years and this is the absolute Best place. House was spectacular and stocked with so much more than any other house we have rented. We were a family of 9 (kids aged 8, 6 and 3 months old) and the way the house is was perfect for everyone to have their own little area. What a great idea it was to take one of the garages and turn it into a ski room complete with heated boot and glove lockers (was a good idea too so everyone kept their shoes out of the house). It was a short ride to the mountain (we did not use the neighborhood chairlift as the kids were new to skiing) but hope to in the future. Our last morning we saw 17 beautiful deer come down the mountain and hang out in the yard as if to say goodbye 😊. Sarah and Rob from Stumptown were great and even suggested the best place for snowmobiling. Will definitely be back!

The house is magnificent. Beautiful view. Room and privacy for all. Not a true ski in ski out but easy access to mountain by car. There is a path to lift that’s fairly easy. Path home from mountain is a little difficult to use. Hot tube water was changed out at our request. Management was very accommodating. Would absolutely stay there again.

Everything was great. The Ski-in Ski-out was a bit of work getting home (some flat stretches) but doable. Can’t beat the view and a lot of fun activities for a family.

This is one of those few places that the professional advertising photos do not do it justice. This home is jaw droppingly stunning. There were so many different areas to hang out, no one ever got bored. We had an 11 yr old, a 13 yr old, and a 15 yr old who had a blast downstairs in the gaming area. This owner provided sleds so everyone could go play out in the snow. The bedrooms were well appointed and spaced out nicely for privacy. The main hang out was the huge kitchen which had everything we needed (and more) and was laid out well so that multiple people could be in the kitchen without getting in each other's way. The property management company was great to work with, very prompt with their responses.

We loved staying at this beautiful property. Other than minor things such as a few dirty glasses upon arrival, pots that were a bit too small for a large family that cooks, the property was exceptional and the host was great! When realizing the home didn’t have a martini shaker or champagne bucket, we found them promptly dropped off at the house. The views are amazing and the home very well kept. We liked the distance to town only a short drive, local area hikes were close by and although it’s further from GNP the drive goes by quickly and is scenic. Having dual dishwashers, washers/dryers was helpful as well for our family of 11. Only regret is not staying longer! :)

The property was gorgeous and very clean. The amenities were all first class and we really loved spending time in the home. There were a couple of things that were not maintained for example the master bath tub didn't work as the drain wouldn't seal. The kitchen disposers were very difficult to use and some of the outlets in the upstairs bedrooms didn't work. It was definitely a challenge igniting the fireplace, but we finally figured it out. Our communication with the management company was excellent and they did a great job in showing us around and assisting us when needed. We truly loved the house and will be back. Whitefish is paradise.

This home is excellent for a family gathering - lots of bedrooms/baths to accommodate the 11 of us. The views are breathtaking and access to all the fun activities such as rope courses, zip lines, and biking in the Whitefish Resort was only 6 minutes away. The charming town of Whitefish with its shopping and restaurants was only 15 minutes away. Sarah, Stumptown's manager for the home, greeted us on our check-in day & went over the mechanics of the home. She was quick to take action when we found a couple items needing repair. I can highly recommend this home and management company!

This property was perfect for us and the management company was very responsive to our needs. We would not hesitate to book this beautiful home again.

Our 3 generation families truly enjoyed this home. The layout is perfect as there is a central gathering place as well as separate spaces to get away. The kids loved bunk room and large bathroom (including urinal!). Smart, functional, comfortable design throughout the whole home. Kitchen is amazing, well stocked and easy to prepare the many meals we ate in. The views are absolutely stunning! We are hoping to come back to this special place.

The location of this property was ideal for ski and downtown and we really took advantage of the adult entertainment space with hot tub, pool table, ping-pong and exercise room. We found it a much easier ski out than in with the snow conditions at the time but it was very convenient to just get a pick up at the end of the day from either neighborhood lift or base camp. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and we really appreciated having access to a few simple seasonings that we may have needed for cooking. The ski locker room was so convenient to keep equipment organized and easily accessible. We found the guest book very thorough and handy to use. We look forward to visiting again and hope to take in the beautiful view the property offers in the summer as well.

It's "on the mountain" but an easy drive to all including Whitefish Lake, Whitefish downtown, the airport, and Glacier National Park All paved you'll need a 4 wheel drive if snowing - which worked out well for us - because half the week it was snowing and the other half was sunny (and all snow melted) so we experienced two climates. Every detail in this home was wonderful/incredible!

This was an unbelievable property. It had a great view of whitefish lake. It was very relaxing sitting on the back porch and seeing the train off in the distance. The property was extremely clean. The property manager does a great job in communicating and keeping the property clean and in good shape.

This house is beautiful! Breathtaking views, plenty of space, extremely well equipped with everything you need. Great location close to town but far enough away to feel very private. Also easy drives to Glacier National Park, Whitefish Mountain Resort, and other activities. Our favorite features were the deck and outdoor fireplace and the living room doors that opened completely to one side, providing unobstructed views of the lake, mountains, and sunset. We had a wonderful family vacation here, thank you for sharing your home with us!

Breathtaking views and awesome house, our two families had the greatest vacation ever! This house has everything and is even better in person: gorgeous views, beautifully decorated, so clean and plenty of room for everyone. Just bring your food and drinks, everything else is supplied. We enjoyed many dinners on the deck and sat around the gas fire pit almost every night under millions of stars in the spectacular Montana sky. It was absolutely perfect! Rob the owner of Stumptown Vacation Rentals and Sarah were such a pleasure to work with. They were always available to answer any questions about the area, the house, and things to do. Thank you so much for making our stay so special, we are looking forward to returning to Whitefish and to this home.
