Property was clean and perfect for our family vacation. Beautiful landscaping with all the summer flowers in bloom. Plenty of space for everyone to hang out together or find a quiet space of your own. One of our top stays over the past 10+ years of renting through VRBO. Would highly recommend!

From the moment we drove up the drive we loved this home. Beautiful grounds, fantastic flower gardens with art everywhere. So relaxing watching the hummingbirds enjoying the flowers too. The house is just lovely with beautiful furnishings, art and everything we needed to have for a wonderful stay. Although the furnishings are beautiful they are also comfortable and welcoming. Much thought was given to providing everything we needed. We celebrated our 55th anniversary with family and there was plenty of room for all. The bedrooms were comfortable and provided everyone with a private space. The location was perfect, not far from everything we wanted to do. We enjoyed the beaches, shopping, golf and our new family favorite, pickle ball. All close by. We enjoyed watching the sunsets over Lake Michigan, just a short walk away. Thank you for a memorable vacation.

Great place - wonderful trip

Our family has never vacationed in Michigan but would highly recommend it to anyone. The house was really great and nicely tucked back in the woods so we felt really secluded yet were within minimal driving distance to many different things. Unfortunately the lake was still pretty cold but the kids enjoyed splashing in the waves. We loved the short walk to the beach and how it was basically having our own private beach. Communication with Keith was very easy. Check in was super simple and he communicated with us throughout the week easily and was super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house and area to anyone.

Our extended family had a great stay! The home is spacious and clean. The property was so beautiful! The host was thoughtful and reached out to chk on us during our stay.

House was beautiful and well equipped. Worked out great for a girls weekend, lots of bedrooms/privacy. Property was stunning. Close to Saugatuck/Douglas. Water is within walking distance.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at the Wooded Retreat. It is a beautiful house with plenty of space and gorgeous back yard to hang out in. House is in a quiet area and just a short walk to lakefront views. The owners were incredibly accommodating and hospitable. I recommend making sure you bring toiletries and any comforts from home as they are not provided at the house. Will definitely be returning in the future!

Our stay was perfect! We had 16 people and we fit comfortably. House and property were absolutely beautiful. Would definitely stay again.

This was a delightful long weekend for the four of us. The owners obviously take very good care of the home and grounds. Everywhere you look, you’ll see interesting art in various forms. The house has a great “flow” and is set up in a very considerate way. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well outfitted. One of my friends immediately reserved another weekend for her family! Overall a lovely experience.

This is our second stay at Keith’s property and cannot provide enough positive feedback. The property is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. Hospitality is top notch. We will be back as soon as possible!

This house was absolutely perfect — size, location, cleanliness, “amenities.” The backyard was the cutest, most quaint little paradise. Short walk to a private beach along Lake Michigan. Beds were comfortable, house was immaculately clean and cozy. Already looking into weekends that I can come stay again!

My sisters and I rented this property for a weekend reunion with childhood friends. Our parents were friends from just after WWII, and our three families got together for all the summer holidays for many years. We hosted the get-together at the rental, and it couldn't have been more perfect (except for the weather). Plenty of room inside, a large bank of windows and sliding door out to the large deck gave a real indoor-outdoor feel to the space. The deck had seating for 20+ people, just what we needed, and there was a firepit and a grill, and the back yard was beautiful, lots of mature grasses, rhododendrons, and other plantings. Great memories were made. The kitchen was very well-stocked. All of the bedrooms had plenty of privacy, and most either had an en suite bathroom or one just next door. The house itself was just really cool and beautifully decorated. We kept commenting that every time we looked around, we saw a different interesting lamp or wall hanging or table or piece of art. The house was very clean, and the host very accommodating. Wonderful weekend!

This listing exceeded our expectations in every way. The large home was spotlessly clean, modern and easy to live in. Very well equipped providing probably everything you might need. Good location w/in 15 minutes of Saugatuck. (Don't forget Fenville --good restaurants & roadside stands there.) Easy walk for sunset views. Beautiful gardens on site. Keith had just the right amount of contact. We had a most relaxing stay.

A group of 16 of us stayed at this beautiful property 3 nights for labor day weekend. The accommodations are beautiful and comfortable. There are 5 bedrooms plus an office that acts as a bedroom with a pull-out couch which was comfortable. The house had everything we needed. When we arrived we were pleased to find a cocktail shaker and necessary cocktail items. Although we didn't cook any gourmet meals, for the cooking we did, I couldn't imagine needing any more cooking utensils. We enjoyed the back deck which accommodated all of us. There is a picnic table and chairs around a "faux fire pit table". Later in the evening we enjoyed the actual fire pit which had seating for everyone in a beautiful wooded setting. A few things that we appreciated which I believe are unique to this property. The gardens are beautiful! In the yard it was fun to enjoy not only the beautiful plants but also hidden and not so hidden sculptures. Also, in the house the artwork, perfectly placed, was something we all commented about and enjoyed. To sleep as many people as we had, we used the provided air mattresses. There is also a bed in the lower level living room, coupled with the air mattresses, we used this area for some of our "young adults". In the evening and morning, it was beautiful and serene to walk along the street which runs parallel to Lake Michigan. We used the stair access listed by the owner to walk down to the beach to enjoy the sunset in the evening. The front porch, lined with hydrangea, with two seating areas, overlooks a beautiful front yard which is lit in the evening. This property is wonderful, we are so grateful for our stay here, and we plan to stay again.

Wooded Retreat was perfect for our family vacation. The house was spacious and comfortable, the outside lawn and gardens were beautiful and full of nature, and the location was conveniently close to various activities our group of children and adults could enjoy. We definitely would stay at Keith's Wooded Retreat, again.

We loved staying in this beautiful house. Unlike many VRBOs with ikea furniture and cheap decorations clearly for a rental, this is furnished beautifully and so comfortable and cozy and felt like a real home. Not only is each corner of the house beautifully decorated, but even the yard and land around it is gorgeous. We got our family photos taken on the property instead of going to a local park as originally planned because it is so gorgeous. Would recommend. One small thing is that 4 of the bedrooms are quiet and away from the hang out space, but 2 of them are right next to the living room/kitchen and not as quiet. Just something to consider for bigger groups.

This property was ideal for our family vacation. We had 8 adults and 3 small children, with plenty of room to spread out, both inside and outside the home. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for walking and bike riding and close to shopping and restaurants. The home is well furnished and kitchen well equipped. If we have similar needs, we would consider staying here again in the future.

This was an amazing place! Very clean, gorgeous surroundings and lots of things to do in the area. Beautiful sunsets over the lake just a short walk from the house. Nice fire pit for campfires at night making s’mores and hobo pies. All in all a wonderful stay. Our whole family enjoyed it!

This home far exceeded our expectations. Cleanliness, comfortable beds and furniture, beautiful decor, well-appointed kitchen. Young and old appreciated all of the green space and closeness to beaches and towns. Keith was very easy to communicate with which was much appreciated. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

We really loved the property and home; it truly has everything you could ever need. It was large enough for our family of 16 people with plenty of space for all (and pet friendly too!). The property and grounds are beautiful and we spent time exploring both the back and front yard (seeing a family of deer many times!), and having s’mores by the fire. This house is located in a very beautiful and quiet neighborhood close to the water (just a short walk) but also, conveniently close to downtown Saugatuck! We had a wonderful stay and many memories. I’d highly recommend staying here! 😊

This was an amazing stay! The pictures do not do the house justice, it’s even better than what it shows. It was an amazing neighborhood with a giant yard, perfect for our kids to enjoy. The home was clean and super cute! I would definitely recommend going here and hope to be back again soon.

Our friends have been getting together once a year for the past 28 years. We have stayed in all types of places, but this house was truly our favorite overall!! The pictures don't even do it justice, it is truly a beautiful place and was such a treat! The house was so clean and the rules and check in/ out processes were so well explained. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a clean, scenic & relaxing getaway!!

The four bedrooms with showers is a great plus for a large group. A highlight is definitely the deck and seating out back and all the outdoor areas! We did arrive on a very hot day and it took a while to get the house cooled down a bit, but that was a minor thing and the house is large so it's to be expected. The host was very responsive to some questions I had prior to our stay. Thank you!

This was the perfect property for our group of 12. First off the location was amazing: beautiful wooded lot, near the lake. The house is very clean, very well furnished and very well maintained. The 3 levels of the house gave everyone their own space, but allowed for plenty of together time in the large shared spaces. The two bedrooms on the main floor gave our older parents the option to not have to use the stairs, and the lower level bedrooms along with the very spacious rec room gave our young adults their own space. The upper level had a cute room with its own bathroom. The property is so beautiful and spacious as well. The large driveway gave plenty enough room for all of us to park. The garden was so beautiful and we loved the back patio/deck with multiple areas to sit and enjoy the beautiful view! The kitchen was very well stocked with any sort of dish/utensil we might need. I can't say enough nice things about our stay! The house made it the perfect family weekend for us! Thank you Keith! We'll definitely be back!
