Our stay at Sunset Retreat...was indeed a wonderful retreat...private yet close to town, serene with nice pond, nice pool and hot tub. The layout of the house was efficient and in great working order. Host Patricia has made an informative 3 ring binder guide for the property, sightseeing, restaurants etc. and I referenced it numerous times. We and our 3 teenage sons very much enjoyed our stay. Wifi was good for teenagers. The best compliment I can give our hosts and property is that we would easily come back if we vacation in Florida again. Thanks for a memorable vacation.

My husband and I spent a wonderful relaxing two weeks at Sunset Retreat. The house lives up to its name with beautiful sunsets viewed from the dock, and the perfect retreat to relax in with everything one could need. We walked into the home and felt a sense of spaciousness and peace and were very impressed with how spotlessly clean the home was. I'd like to thank the housekeeper for such a great job! The kitchen is nice and airy with everything one would need to cook although we mainly used the bbq to cook meals. Patricia and Steve left a basket of wine and goodies to welcome us which was such a lovely gesture. They are very gracious hosts and were available to answer any questions or assistance. We loved sitting outside in the patio and the heated pool was perfect to cool off during the hot days we had. The back yard is large with trees and shrubs and you can take a stroll on the path from there to the dock to sit and relax or take a canoe ride around the lake. There is nothing we lacked in the home and it did feel like "home". Its situated in a quiet area yet only a 3 minute drive to the grocery store. We took trips to NASA, the Arnold Palmer Tournament in Orlando, air boat rides, and Blue Springs State Park and all were within an easy 20 to 60 minute drive from the home. We would definitely love to come back to stay but this time I think we need to come for longer!!

Perfect house with all amenities you could ask for. This was the best vacation house we have ever had. Close to attractions like Kennedy Space Center and Disney. Fishing and/or just relaxing at the lake was the best and very relaxing. Recommend this vacation home 100% for anyone that wants to relax and still see the sights. We traveled with our 17 year old twins and they loved it as much as we did.

Good fishing. We caught and released our fish. Caught one walking cat fish and those should be destroyed. We released before we knew it was an invasive species. The fish feeder works great.

This property was immaculate and in a pretty private setting. We will most definitely stay there again. You can tell the owners really care about this property.

We live in Texas now and it was so nice to enjoy the evenings fishing at the dock, canoeing and soaking in the hot tub after busy days out exploring. The tropical and spacious setting of the backyard leading down to the water is beautiful. The home was fully equal with absolutely everything and very clean! It took about 30 minutes to the things we wanted to visit in Orlando and 40-50 minutes to the east coast beaches. Tucked nicely away for you to enjoy some serenity at the end of each day. We spent 10 glorious days and would highly recommend! Thank you for providing me with a place to reminisce of my childhood and life living in central Florida.

Patricia is a fantastic host! The property was super clean, there were many extras included, check-in was very personal and concise. The pool was amazing the lake views were awesome. The area is very nice, we felt super safe, and it felt private and was so quiet. I highly recommend and would absolutely stay again!

We were looking for a location away from the hustle of typical spring breakers and somewhere quiet and low key with activities to do at the rental. This place completely delivered! The area is quiet and serene. The house is nestled back on a dead end street. The pool and spa were an added bonus. The house sits on a 65acre lake has amazing views with gorgeous views and breathtaking sunsets. Days were perfect to take the provided canoe out and paddle around. The kids (young teens) were occupied lizard hunting on the daily. We loved we were able to take our dog with us who is part of the family (he thoroughly enjoyed the lake!). The property was impressively clean and provided all the necessities. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

The house at this property was very nice. However, there were a few more rules than we cared for. We questioned something and rather than answering our question we were told to refer to the red book. Overall it was a nice house but we would not go back.

We LOVED every minute we spent at Sunset Retreat! We were looking for a different experience than going to the gulf side of Florida and we found it! My avid fishermen - husband and son - were in heaven having the dock on the lake and the fishing gear supplied worked great! The sunsets were beautiful as well! The time spent in the pool and spa were priceless, it's exactly what our kids love to do. Having a big yard to play football and badminton in, along with a pool, spa and lake is a RARE find. Patricia was extremely responsive and able to accommodate our times to turn on and off the spa! She gave us a walking tour of the property on our first morning and even happily dealt with our inquisitive children asking ALL the questions! It was a quick drive from the Sanford airport and not a bad drive down to Disney for the day we spent there. Everything we needed was truly available to us at this home away from home. We couldn't have asked for a better getaway than at Sunset Retreat!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Retreat...we were in town for a sports event at the Bombah Sports Complex, and it was the perfect location if you want to avoid hotels and stay somewhere more private. It was also a very easy to drive to Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral for day trips. The house itself was perfect for our family of 5- plenty of space (yet feels cozy!), very clean, everything you could possibly need. Communication with the owners was fantastic, Patricia is so lovely and quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The property itself is stunning, I'd come back again just to see another lake sunset. We truly enjoyed our stay, the only thing we would have wanted to change was the weather...if it was a few degrees warmer we could have used that awesome pool a bit more, but hey, that's January in Florida for you!

The house is very well equipped, pool is outstanding, and the dock/lake are a relaxing bonus. The house is conveniently located between Orlando to the west and the Atlantic beaches to the east. The weather was simply gorgeous. The only problem is that our 10 days went too fast! Thank you, Steve and Patricia, for a great time and we will not hesitate to book with you again when our travels take us near Chuluota. I highly recommend this vacation house.

The Sunset Retreat is a beautiful and spacious property. The dock in the back has the most amazing lake view, and the sunsets will take your breath away. The kitchen is completely equipped, with details that allowed us to host Thanksgiving to a large family with the same amenities we are used to at home. Soft towels, comfortable beds, cotton sheets made the experience truly memorable, a rarity in places that take pets. Expect an in-person check-in, and the use of the hot-tub requires coordination with the owner. The owners live next door, responds to texts within seconds, and will never impose on your privacy. We love this place and highly recommend it.
