The communication from the property owner was second to none. She checked in frequently and had recommendations on places to go and things to do. The apartment was perfect for four. Fully functioning kitchen with plenty of utensils and cookware. 2 minute walk to dog beach and 10 from restaurants and shops in either direction. 10/10 would recommend. We’ll be back!

After the first night we were able to get heat, we could enjoy a very clean, well-supplied, pleasant space, and location near the beach as advertised. However, upon arrival we had Problems: we experienced a cold uncomfortable arrival and suffered cold temperatures through the first night - this was avoidable & should not happen. The poor first night experience started with searching for the light switches inside once we got in. The wall switches on the wall inside the door did not work, we had to find the light switches in the kitchen to turn on lights. The heat was not on in advance of our mid-February arrival so we entered a 55 degree unit. The LR wall heater wasn't sufficient to heat the BRs, the additional plug-in heater supplied by owner blew the circuit for both bedrooms. After we reset the circuit, which was outside downstairs & not lit, the inside bedroom lights came on, but the LR wall heater did not reset to heat through the night. Heating circuitry problems caused the lodging to be too cold & uncomfortable through all night. Next day, the owner sent the electrician; he explained the LR wall heat was on the same circuit as the 2 bedrooms. He advised us to use the plug-in heaters (one in the BR & one in the LR) & not use the LR wall heater to get a reasonably comfortable temperature. Finally, this method supplied adequate heating. We should have had instructions before the circuit blew out on how to get adequate heat to the bedrooms and the living room, and to not use a plug-in heater in the bedroom when the wall heater unit in the LR is on. If we had this information, we would have had adequate heat that first night and it would have been a much better experience. Not sure we’ll go there again.

Location was great. Had a good time. Fun place to visit.

The apartment is very comfortable with updated furnishings, lots of towels, pillows, supplies. Nice location a few blocks from the beach and from OB’s restaurants and bars. The only concern was the bedrooms can get hot on a warm day and although the living room area is well air conditioned, the bedrooms stay warm into the evening. (Floor fans are provided). The owner is in touch from booking to arrival and during the stay.

Communication with host was spectacular. Location was clean and layout well thought out. Our family of 5 was 2 adults and 3 teens. There was plenty of room for all of us to stay comfortably. The host had little gestures that made our trip so much better like boogie boards, beach chairs, even after sun lotion. I would recommend this host to all my friends and family A++

Great location, loved the area and the people. The host was rude. There are no lights other than the kitchen area. One lamp with a very dim bulb in each room. Day one we had issues with a clogged kitchen sink drain. when we told her the kitchen sink was plugged and that the ac just had the fan running and was not cooling the place down. We had a plumber in the unit for 2.5 hours as he ended up cleaning the entire building main drain. He told us that it was such an old building and old plumbing that it needed done every few months. The host Still continued to blame us for the clogged drain issues. She then told us there was not enough power to the building to run the AC unit so to just use the fans provided and put them in the windows at night to help cool the unit down. Then on closer inspection the entire inside of the wall AC unit was covered in mold. Over all we will come back to this area but look at a different host. This host should have the entire 4 plex professionally cleaned and certified mold free before anyone else rents from her.

We enjoyed our stay in Ocean Beach. It was nice to have comfortable beds and a full kitchen to cook breakfast every morning. The only drawbacks, the ac didn't cool very well and we didn't feel comfortable leaving windows open while we were away. Also, my son has dog allergies, which I should've found a dog free rental. We got him some allergy meds and didn't have him sleeping on the couch. That drawback is on me. The owner did help accommodate us as our flight got changed. So, all and all a good vacation.

Our family loved the apartment! It was clean, fresh, updated, comfortable beds and sheets. We walked to the beach and restaurants.

Traveling with 2 young kids so cleanliness was important, and this accommodation was exactly that - clean, and in a great location. We didn't need the car to shop, eat, grab coffee, or get to the beach. The beach is literally steps away from the apartment, and coffee and restaurants abide all around. Also, very close to Sea World (which was a destination for us). The owner was extremely friendly and responsive, and made sure we were happy with our experience throughout our stay. Definitely recommend.

We stayed here with a group of five, plenty of space! The host was amazing, she made sure we had everything we needed, and made communication super easy! 10/10 would definitely recommend for a getaway, so close to the beach too!

Property's was well decorated and furnished. Condition was immaculate. Parking will be a problem as it is street parking only. I was surprised at the large homeless population which may be seasonal? The homeless were predominantly at the beach front so I was content with this location being a block away from this problem. Overall this is a very nice property.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The place was perfectly located for walking to beach and restaurants. It was very clean (almost new) and was nicely decorated. Awesome water pressure in the shower! Nice amenities provided in both kitchen and bathroom. There were some things we encountered not obvious from the listing. This unit is an UPSTAIRS apartment, so there are 16 stairs up to the front door which are not lit at night. Listed as a dog-friendly unit, but the owner texted prior to our arrival to say there was an additional $50 dog fee not included in cleaning fee, service fee, or host fee and asked me to pay her directly through Venmo. There is no direct access to the patio. Although the patio is shared between the two apartments, only the downstairs people have direct access. Renters of the upstairs unit can only enter it through a locked entrance off the sidewalk. We never used it — not appealing. Would recommend arriving in the day. The only parking is on the street and it fills up at night. Plan to spend several minutes driving around looking for a spot. The light switch inside the front door has had its switches removed and the light switches in the bedrooms aren’t hooked up to anything. Be prepared to walk through dark rooms to turn on lamps directly. The owner was very responsive to the multiple issues we encountered and got them fixed in a timely manner, but she sent too many text messages. Some were helpful — “your VRBO rental is ready for check-in”, but some were not — “have you checked in yet?” She texted 6 paragraphs of rules before we arrived and then texted another rule immediately after apologizing for our difficult check-in experience (we arrived in the dark to find the stair access blocked by a “wet paint” sign). Midway through our stay, the painter came back to finish painting the steps (the only access to the place). Since it was not possible to squeeze up the slender non-painted side of the stairs while carrying our 45-lb dog, we asked the painter to postpone his work. It felt inconsiderate to schedule routine maintenance during our stay without prior notice.

Location, location, location. Walkable to everywhere in OB and only 1 block from the beach. The apartment was super clean and decorated cute. Host was friendly and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we need.

The house was clean and a great location! Beach and restaurants easy walking distance! Enjoyed our vacation in San Diego and would definitely stay here again!! The owners were super helpful and available if needed!!

This property was perfect! The location was amazing. Seriously a block from the beach. The place itself was great as well. Everything we needed for amenities. The only downside, and not really more than slightly irritating is the street side parking. We had to park a bit away but like I said, nothing too bad. Street noise wasn’t an issue either, I was concerned being on the corner unit. The owner was fabulous, very communicative and helpful throughout offering location tips to make our stay better. Great place over all.

This was a great last-minute place for me, my boyfriend, and our pup. The layout is really nice and spacious with nice little touches, the bed is super comfortable, and the location is perfect right next to the beach. I was worried it would be really hot, but we were totally fine with the AC and fan and even got too chilly. The host is very communicative along every step of the way. One thing to note is there is only street parking, and we did have trouble at times finding a spot close to the apartment, but it was pretty manageable and would still definitely recommend this place. We had a lovely stay!

This was a beautiful cozy loft 1 block away from the beach. Clean and modern home. Market down the street. Birds available everywhere to ride. All restaurants and farmers market are nearby. Finally the host, Meiluen was extremely helpful and kind. She suggested all the best restaurants around the area and how to get around and what to do. She checked in often to make sure everything was going good and was very kind. I'd be happy to come back again or suggest family coming.
