Spacious, great views, nice beach & pool.

This was our second time staying in this house over a 4 yr period. The house is beautiful and the layout is perfect for a large family gathering. The rooms from the many balconies all around the house are beautiful from the ocean to the sound. The beach is very private and the tide pools make for exceptional photos at sunset. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well supplied and perfect for large gatherings. The only negatives we had were the cleanliness of the place. Like everywhere you go these days it is hard to find workers and the place was pretty dirty upon arrival. Even the beds weren't changed in some of the rooms and sand and hair were in beds. Luckily we had extra sheets to remedy this. The house did have some wear and tear over the years but nothing to distract from the fabulous time we all had. Management was also very responsive to any issues we had. Would highly recommend this house just be aware you may have some cleaning to do upon arrival.

It was a great property for families! The pool and hot tub were a hit along with the ping pong and pool tables! Great family dining space and well stocked kitchen! Beautiful beach and family areas!

This was our 2nd stay at this home. It is perfect for our family group of 19+ (ages 5-73). Love this section of the island where there are no crowds. Family rotated time btwn the beach, pool and hot tub every day. Love the reverse floor plan with living area on the top floor. Kitchen well stocked. Great living areas. Plenty of room for everyone to be together and/or to find a quiet spot and enjoy the surroundings.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 72 Palms. It was an extended family vacation. All of our children, their spouses and our grandchildren joined us there. The property is spacious and very well equipped. The elevator was truly amazing both upon arrival and departure. It was also much easier for my husband and I to join the activities with our children rather than using the stairs. The pool, the hot tub, and the beach were enjoyed by all! The property is beautiful inside and out. The porches gave us a wonderful view of the ocean from sunrise to sunset. Our grandchildren enjoyed the ping ping table and the pool table on the ground level, as well as cornhole. It was a wonderful place to gather for a family vacation!

We had approx 17 adults and 1 toddler. There was more than enough room that we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. We cooked in all week and enjoyed all the space with two tables. The younger group went downstairs where the pool table and ping pong table were and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Having a bathroom and shower by the pool made it very convenient. Would definitely go back.

The house was everything we expected and more. It's tucked away on the south end of the island abutting beautiful dunes and a long, wide beach. The house was beautiful and had more than enough space for my party (about 14 people). The amenities were great, the host was very responsive whenever I needed him. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a vacation down on the NC shore.

The oceanfront home provided our group with spectacular views. The ICW can be seen and enjoyed from street-side (front of home ) balconies. Similar homes of equal size and quality fill the landscape without impeding upon your view or enjoyment. The beaches were not crowded at all. Lots of beach! Many seashells were available for the avid hunter / collector. For those not familiar with the area, the water is normally much calmer than that of the OBX. Great if you have kids. A couple of young men in our group caught a few sizable flounder which were enjoyed by all. We saw Drum, and other small fish / shark. A fifteen minute beach walk will have you fishing in the ICW. We had several contacts with the owner / manager regarding anything important prior to arrival. If there were any issues which they knew of, they attempted to and did fix the minor things prior to our arrival. We were not hindered or put out in any way. The living, dining and bedrooms were great; plenty of space if you need to get alone. The two dining areas were large enough for our group of fifteen. We ate all of our meals in house, and no one seemed to complain of needing additional utensils, etc. Available laundry rooms were convenient for all parties and worked well. We used the grill twice, and that worked well. *If you want a prep table you might bring a small one. The pool and decking were enjoyed much of each day. If it were a really hot week, one might want to bring an additional umbrella or your own canopy for enough shade for all: 12:00-3:00pm. We had great weather so it was seldom an issue. The hot tub worked well and was enjoyable to many in our group. Great place for long conversations with the family. * we would definitely consider this home again if we need an 8 bed / 8 bath home. The 5,000 sq ft. size of this home means you are not crammed into small rooms or living space. If you have seniors whom are worried about steps, the reverse floor plan allows for two suites to be on the upper / living and dining room level. That was a plus. Our check in featured

This property exceeded mine and my family’s expectations! It was beautiful, clean and the location was amazing! I love that the beach was never busy, and it was great for the little ones to run around, while the grown ups looked for shells. The pool was perfect, all of us were able to relax and play at the same time, and the pool house was an added bonus. Every room had an amazing view of either the beach or the marsh which was beautiful. The owner was very quick to respond if I had any questions, which was great! Can’t wait to bring our family back for years to come. Everyone has a great time from my 18 month old all the way up to my 74 year old mom. Would recommend this property to everyone.

Beautiful property with amazing view. Main dining room window sadly has broken seal/fogged up obscuring view. FYI: The two queen bedroom, nearest the beach, on second floor window had a major leak during a hard rain storm. Needed towels to soak it up. Counters, floors and tables had crumbs and sticky spots when we arrived that we had to clean be fore hitting the beach.

We had an amazing week at 72 Palms! This was our second stay at the house (7 families: 12 adults, 8 kids ages 5-9) and we would recommend it for any large groups. The beach is wide and very private. We enjoyed playing on the beach and in the waves, fishing, playing in the pool, relaxing in the hot tub, and playing games at the spacious dining tables. The kitchen is well stocked and the floor plan is spacious so you don’t feel on top of each other. Communication with the owners was always quick, clear, and easy.

We stayed at the house with multiple families and everyone absolutely LOVED the house!! We will definitely be returning to your house!! :)

This property was perfect for a large gathering of people. The house has magnificent views from every room. It has spacious gathering places and is furnished beautifully. It has an open concept but so many porches and areas if you want your own space. The eating area has two large tables so everyone can gather to eat or play games. The pool is a wonderful area when not at the beach. This property felt like a high end resort. It is a wonderful place to stay. Very private also. Would definitely book this again.

We feel extremely lucky to have found such an amazing private beach house. The house is very spacious and each family could have their own space if needed. The entertainment is perfect, you could relax At the beach, enjoy the pool or the hot tub. The beach is so isolated we could even have a soccer game with all the teenagers and still not see any neighbors on the beach. Absolutely in love! Almost don’t want anyone to know about this beach so it stays so beautiful !!

We really enjoyed our stay at 72 palms, house has everything needed to enjoy the beach and area. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out or gather together. Pool and beach are great as well. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a group of 26. Plenty of room. Beautifully decorated. Kitchen well equipped. New extension decking to the beach was a nice surprise bc when we booked it was not in pictures. Pool and hot tub were awesome. Would highly recommend this house.

Excellent choice for a large adult family (no children). Accommodations were perfect for our group of (18) and the home was immaculate when we arrived Saturday (6/16/2018). We are planning to book the home again next year for the same group. That should tell you how much we enjoyed the home, beach, pool, play room, and the view from the table at the window overlooking the ocean. The only small downside - involved the steps required to access the pool area for one adult member who is disabled and must use a walker. We managed with everyone lending a hand when she needed to move between floors or use the lower level bath. At first I thought the walk to the beach was long but this proved to be a minor inconvenience and provided some meaningful exercise after eating all the great meals prepared by a nearby catering gal and the willing folks in our group. Looking forward to next year at 72 Palms.

We have been coming to Holden Beach as a family for over 20 years, since our children where small. Now we are able to come with our children and grandchildren to continue our Holden Beach tradition! Our stay at 72 Palms was relaxing but active. The house had plenty of room for all and the beach was perfect for our grandchildren with the tide pools and sandbar, not to mention all the sand castle building! The pool was always the perfect ending to our days. We enjoyed board games, coloring, rocking and relaxing on the deck with beautiful views, and meals together as a family. Since we stayed in for all meals, having a well stocked kitchen with all the necessities was wonderful and made our meal prep easy; after all, who wants to really work at the beach! It was our first time staying at the private west end of the beach. Private and comfortable! It was another year of making memories and 72 Palms could not have been more perfect. The owners were quick to respond to any questions or concerns and we have already booked again for next year. See you next year 72 Palms. Thank you for another year of memories!

This was the first time we have vacationed in Holden Beach. 72 Palms was the perfect trip for our vacation. We had 5 families all staying together and it worked out amazing. I was worried that the walk from the house to the ocean was a little far based on the pictures but it is closer then it looks. The house is decorated awesome. The kids in the group loved playing with the pool table and the ping pong table. The pool and hot tub were constantly used. The second refrigerator in the garage is very helpful. The house had everything we needed for our trip. We made dinner most evenings and the kitchen was stocked! The most amazing part of the house is the view from the kitchen table. That is something I will never forget. Thanks for sharing your amazing home with us!

We can't say enough about this wonderful home for anytime of the year. There were 24 of us - ages from 4 months to 64! The kitchen is well stocked (we love to cook), the fridge space perfect, the ice machine kept up easily and we used it alot, the room configurations worked perfectly for us, the porches and rockers (ahhh!), the view is magnificent, the tide pools for our little ones at low tide were such a bonus, the wide beach and the privacy of the beach! Plenty of table space, ping pong and pool were a big hit for our young adults! Two coffee pots! The home is decorated beautifully and beachy - the water pressure was great and we never ran out of hot water! 2 showers before entering the house made it easy to keep the sand out! The pool with an abundance of lounge chairs was perfect for our afternoon pool time. We really enjoyed the house!

72 Palms was the perfect rental for our large family of 20. The entire home was well equipped with gourmet kitchen, comfortable dinner seating and roomy lounge areas. The shaded patios provided beautiful views of the beach. The swimming pool, hot tub, ping-pong & pool table were popular with the younger family members. The beach was like a private resort and ocean water was very warm. The entire week provided a memory for a lifetime.

Our family of 16 recently stayed at 72 Palms this June, 2017. We have been coming to Holden Beach for 23 years. This large house was everything our family could dream of for a wonderful week stay. The outdoor decks provided perfect ocean and intercostal views. The number of appliances, pool, hot tub were perfect for our family needs. Tidal pools created by the shifting tides were great of the smaller grandchildren. They also loved hunting crabs at night at the beach. We loved this house and will have fond memories forever. We hope to return someday.

72 Palms is a wonderful beachfront resort for a large family gathering. There was ample room for 27 of us. The rooms were spacious. The pool was nice size and the kids and adults loved it. We were a little afraid of the walk to the beach by looking at the pictures, but it was not that far at all, and our toddlers did not have any trouble with it. The beach was very relaxing, you essentially have it to yourself. Elizabeth was very easy to work with, and made the whole VRBO experience easy. We would definitely recommend this home for any large family gathering. Great Stay!

Our large family got to spend the 4th of July week together in this beautiful home and I cannot say enough about how enjoyable and spacious this home is! We have never stayed in a beach front home where we all had a seat at the table for dinner and nobody felt crowded anywhere in the house! This house is very clean and well furnished and would be enjoyable for any size family, but for a large group of 20-25 people, it is perfect and there is still plenty of room and seats for everyone. Even the covered porches had plenty of rocking chairs, chaise lounges, and nice cushioned wicker furniture. The Palm trees and unique exterior of the house make it feel more like a tropical paradise. All of the beds were new and very comfortable! Having the elevator for getting food/luggage upstairs was really a nice bonus! I have stayed at numerous ocean front homes at Holden over the last 30 years, and this one is by far the nicest. The owners were very quick to respond to our initial request to rent the home and the entire process was very smooth with no issues. We had a couple of minor issues while we were there, and the owners responded to my text within hours, not to mention the nice gift bag of goodies left for us upon our arrival. I strongly recommend this home for large family or friend gathering, it is perfect!

We spent our first week in Holden Beach at this beautiful home and couldn't ask for more! There were 5 families and we all comfortable fit with perfect accommodations. Some of our favorite things about the house and beach were: oversized tables for family meals, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, large pool, oceanfront decks, elevator for transporting food and grandparents, shell hunting on the beach, private beach, turtle egg discovery, gazebo that teens used to hang 3 enos, ping pong, ice maker, fishing from the shore and oh so much more. It truly was a pleasure to rent from these great families and I can only hope that we get to come back again one day soon. We LOVED everything about it! Best house we have ever stayed at, hands down!
