Unbelievable! We enjoyed sitting on the porch drinking our coffee and the beautiful view of the lake. Everything was clean and neat. Trip was too short so we are already trying to plan another trip. Nancy was great to work with. Hope to be back soon! Youmans family

The house has a terrific deck overlooking Lake Keowee. It’s very comfortable, easily sleeps up to 10 people.

Great house, ideal location, nice cove. Gets a little rocky on the weekends but during the week it's quiet and calm and beautiful. House is very well equipped and comfortable. Beds were very nice and the decks give you lots of space to enjoy the views from anywhere.

We come up every summer and spend a week at Lake Keowee and this was our second time booking Sweet Carolina. It is a great location, Convenient to shopping in Seneca and it’s location on Lake Keowee. It is located in a quiet cove and close to the marina for refueling the boat 😊. The house has recently had the deck extended and the outdoor deck really extends the living space. We spent most mornings and evenings on the deck and really enjoyed it. The house is clean and the beds are comfy. Plenty of pillows! Kitchen has ample supplies. The new bedroom downstairs was perfect and we loved having the additional area. Nancy was easy to work with, attentive and responsive this stay and our first stay in 2020. Upon arrival we noticed that the couch had been broken. We sent pictures and Nancy jumped into action and had a new couch delivered for us. The dock had plenty of room to dock our boat and still allow the children room to play and swim off the dock. We used her kayaks and enjoyed exploring the cove. Thank you Nancy for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home! We hope to book with you again next summer!!

Very well located and right on the lake

Should have read other reviews closely. There are so many rules with this property it’s basically impossible to not break one. Texted the host several times during our stay and she never responded once. No can opener, no propane, no paper products like toilet paper, no where to park your boat because she has an old dirty boat and jet ski at the dock. That left is with a little slither of the dock to use. When you read all the rules you will regret booking this place. I was so paranoid that I had to take pictures of everything when I arrived and left. I had a bad feeling and my feelings were correct. 3 days after checkout she sends me this message that we broke the frame of her old couch that we literally never even sat on. Not one person is over weight in my family so this is impossible. Then she claimed we checked out late which was also a lie. We lost our keys and was checked out before the actual departure time. Then she said her cleaner didn’t have enough time to clean because she had a guest checking in same day. We were not even in the house so how does that have anything to do with me? Horrible rental property, worst experience of my life. I’ve been renting on VRBO for many many years and never had an experience like this. Now I’m fighting with VRBO on this host. Beware when you get the check in email. This host is setting you up to pay for something.

Really enjoyed this place. Awesome owner, great location, and we particularly loved the gates community. Can’t wait to come back

Nice place

The house is as advertised and has a great view. It was clean and well-maintained. Would be nice to provide a few of the basic paper amenities for a rental in this price range, which were there but was stated they would not be. Patio furniture needed cleaned before we could use it. Otherwise it’s a nice place at the lake.

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying here! Great spot on the lake. The home was very clean, perfect place to spend a week. Plenty of room if you have a larger group.

This is a beautiful and well-appointed property that was perfect for our vacation. However...the rules provided at check-in would have made us pass this by had we known. I appreciate an owner caring for their home and establishing clear expectations, but this was a bit much and made us feel uncomfortable lest we get "charged" for some small detail left undone. As examples: - Instructions to get there are outdated; fences don't exist, road is paved now, house is different color, etc. - Cleaners aren't doing a great job...lots of high dust, etc. - Overuse of CAPS and !!!! in the instructions...visitors don't like to be scolded before they visit. - Downstairs TV/wine fridge didn't work - This little gem about the Internet. Really? It's 2022...Internet is a utility like power and water...NOT a benefit ca. 1995. Get with the times and don't make your guests "ration" Internet. I quote: "DO NOT stream movies or download videos or music from our internet. This can result in the internet shutting down as well as additional charges against your deposit....DO NOT give the passcode to anyone that is not a registered guest! ESPECIALLY the neighbors, as most of them do NOT have internet ! [Internet is a] benefit we supply to our guests free of charge." - "Gas tanks are the responsibility of each guest so if the tank runs out during your stay you will need to go get another gas tank"..., OK, but don't then threaten me with a $10 cleaning fee for the grease trap if I just dropped $27 to fill up a tank that I'll use only a few times. Beautiful property...but the rules, while mostly rational expectations of a guest, are sent in a passive-aggressive, oppressive manner and scolding tone. We will not go back again for that reason. I don't want to worry every second of being "charged!!!!!!!" for the most minor of things. It made everyone uneasy the duration of the stay.

Great house on a beautiful property

Enjoyed the location and we all enjoyed the water and use of kayaks. Easy access for rented pontoon. Down side was initial cleaning to be done wiping shelves to be used for food due to crumbs left. Found coffee grounds in coffee maker. Main master bathroom had items left in drawers and rubber maid shelf liners were not clean. Towels were in different areas, in laundry room, in some drawers, difficult to account for them. Outdoor furniture downstairs w/ webs and stained. Grill dirty so decided not to use. Would advise someone to check out company that cleans the rental prior to new tenants.

We enjoyed the stay. Everything was as advertised, no surprises. Wonderful place, clean and enjoyable.

Overall, we enjoyed our visit to Lake Keowee. It's beautiful, clean, not crowded and everyone had a blast! The house worked well for our needs although we could've used one more sleeping space (with a door). The house itself was slightly disappointing in some ways (a few mattresses were very uncomfortable, some sheets were old and rough, bunk room doesn't get much AC) but thoughtful in others (nice black out curtains in basement, basket of baby toys, kyacks for use). In the end, we probably wouldn't stay here again but I'm glad we got to enjoy the lake and we're thankful for the opportunity to spend time with family.

This house has everything you need. It is spacious and beautiful. The owner was quick to answer questions and very kind. We will be back!

Our stay was excellent and the location was a short drive to Seneca for any grocery needs and South Cove was just around the corner for ramp access. We will definitely book this house again when we return to Lake Keowee

Also, not sure there is a company that comes and sprays for bugs. Woke up in the morning to palmetto bugs crawling around.

As another reviewer mentioned, no paper products supplied, no hand soap, toilet paper, etc. This is advertised in the listing but not something I’ve encountered in other homes I’ve rented. The location on the lake is wonderful and peaceful and I highly recommend a stay here!

We had an amazing time at this place. Spent Easter weekend with my daughter and her friend who attend Clemson as well as my parents who drove up from Hilton Head. It was nice that the 3 teenagers had their own space downstairs. This home is absolutely gorgeous and the kitchen had everything you could ask for especially when making a big Easter dinner. We highly recommend this rental Nancy was wonderful.

We visited with our young children over Mother's Day weekend. My 5 year old loved it so much he asked if it could be our new home! :) We really enjoyed the outdoor spaces, the quick access to the dock for swimming and the fire pit patio. The kids also loved the bunk beds! Thank you for a relaxing stay.

This home was wildly accommodating for our group of retired seniors. We converged here from Florida and Charleston. With all the comforts of my own home it was clean and organized. We each had our own space on three different levels, all with comfortable king size beds. We enjoyed burning some logs in the fire pit. We loved basking in the sun and relaxing on the dock. The kitchen has everything we needed to cook in. We didn’t want to dine out. The view of the lake is spectacular. It’s an easy drive to Highlands, where we went to hike for a day and enjoy the mountains. We were disappointed there was no cable tv channel to watch March Madness and streaming is strictly not allowed. Finally we were able to get over it. It was a great mini vacation and we look forward to returning.

The weekend was amazing! A little chiller than we hoped for but the fire place was perfect to cuddle up to! The views were amazing! Can’t wait to visit when it’s warm and we can enjoy the lake!
