We very much enjoyed our stay in Carp. The house fit our family’s needs wonderfully. The property was clean and the beds comfortable. A relatively easy walk to the beach with the provided wagon. We hope to be back next year.

What an immaculate, gorgeous home! Everything you might need is provided. Wonderful restaurants are nearby and it's only a short walk to a lovely beach. The owner is helpful and delightful. We plan on returning.

We loved staying at the beach house. It was convenient and walking distance to the beach and restaurants. It had so many amenities to make us feel at home and comfortable. I hope to stay at the beach house again! Lou Ann

Great location in town close to beach and to downtown shopping and restaurants can walk everywhere.

We loved our time here! Carpinteria is a great town by the beach with fantastic restaurants. The home is spacious with everything you need for a great beach vacation.

We have stayed in multiple properties in Carp and we all really enjoyed Ruta's place. It was very cozy. We loved the beds and were within walking distance to the beach and downtown. A great deck where you can see the ocean was a bonus. Plus she has lots of beach toys for the kiddos. We would highly recommend.

Nice property, comfortable beds and well supplied kitchen. The only improvement is the photo in the listing with bikes includes a children’s bike but there are only adult bikes available. Host made us aware of this when booking so we’re not surprised. Property does require climbing steps to enter - not a problem for us but other guests should be aware.

The living room and bedrooms upstairs are exceptionally comfortable. The view of the sunset ( northwest view of sunset and mountains) is very special and the backyard provides for glorious mornings of sun and songbirds! Kitchen well equipped, Ruta, the owner is a gracious host who is immediately accessible. Pictures on website are very accurate. We will definitely return to this home!!

The Beach House has a fantastic setup and couldn’t be in a better location. We loved walking to the beach for sunrise and sunset walks. Spending time at the house was so comfortable whether in the living room upstairs or in the kitchen. Relaxing in the back yard, on the front porch or on the second floor balcony with a fantastic variety of chairs, tables and awnings was hard to beat. Carpinteria is a low key small town with so much to offer.

Great location, fun house with lots of beach toys: umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards. We especially appreciated the bikes. Beds were comfortable, and the house was clean. As others mentioned, the layout is a little funny, with the kitchen downstairs but the gathering spots upstairs. So it wasn't conducive to cooking big meals with us all together. Balcony was fantastic for sunsets and happy hours.

Too many stairs. Great backyard. Attentive host. Fully stocked. Beds comfortable. Netflix a plus. Kinda early checkout. Needs a deep clean.

*In general, the house is downright DIRTY. The walls, doors, windows, kitchen counters need thorough washing. The top of the wooden block on the kitchen island was filthy with grime, which we scrubbed off before food could be prepared. *Electrical issues in the bedroom made us feel unsafe. The light by the bedroom entrance does not work. And the outlet on the opposite side of the bed is not functional. *Insect problems. There is an ant problem in the bedroom. And a spider problem in the Shack Room. Multiple large >1 inch spiders had to be dealt with throughout the stay. * The VRBO description does not mention that the house is NOT handicap friendly. Need to go up/down stairs to get to kitchen or bathroom.

This is an outstanding property with a TOP NOTCH HOST. just 4 blocks from the beach, the Host provides everything you could want to make your stay a beach friendly experience. The kids boogie-boarded all day then relaxed at home after the sun set. We made trips into Montecito and Santa Barbara, which are just 10-15 minutes away. We will definitely come back!

Great vacation choice in Carpinteria. This beach house is a short walk to the beach. It provides you with everything you might need for a day at the beach. Kitchen is also well-stocked.

Very nice and comfortable. Ruta was very helpful and even told us about local events like the farmer’s market on Thursdays. Really good stuff. We love Carpinteria, this one was one to remember and the Beach House helped to make it so.

This property has everything that you could possibly want or need - beach towels, bikes, wagon, boogie boards, backyard grill and lots of patio furniture, cuddly throws, flashlights, crockpot, etc. It is decorated in a fun and eclectic style. About 4 blocks from the beach - it is an easy bike ride or walk. In fact, you can see a bit of the ocean from the second floor deck. Out of all the beaches in the Santa Barbara area, this is my favorite. I have a little Shih Tzu that is totally blind. The back yard is beautiful, big, and fenced in so that she could wander around all she wanted and I did not need to worry about her getting out. The trip was worth it just for her. My son had a friend over one evening and we had a lovely barbecue in the backyard. My husband is dealing with Stage 4 cancer and this was a good place for respite. And yes, there is Amtrak rails behind the back fence, but is was not an issue with the trains going by. In fact, it was rather fun. Carpinteria is more laid back than the busyness experienced in Santa Barbara or Goleta. It was magical. I would recommend this property to anyone.

This property is close to the beach and Carpinteria town, the location can't be beat! It is clean, comfortable, and has all the amenities needed for an enjoyable holiday: bikes, washer/dryer, comfy beds and TVs. Unfortunately for me there were a lot of stairs and areas in the yard that were difficult for my furry companions.

The Beach House was ideal for our visit. Location is wonderful and the house is equipped with everything you need and more. Kitchen was stocked with more cookware than my own kitchen. Everything was clean and organized. The 2 king beds are a huge plus. The train does run behind the house but not a bother for us at all. We enjoyed the daily walks to the beach and took a couple of bike rides. We will be back!!

This trip was a return visit to the beach town I went to many times as a child in the 50s and 60s. It was everything I remembered. A small town without the glitz of most SoCal beach towns but with a beautiful beach, great restaurants and a vibrant community. The house was clean and well appointed. Located walking distance between the beach and town so we never drove our car the entire time we were there. We would definitely book this house again.

This is our second visit to this home, and it really is, complete with everything you can think of, plus the location, the backyard, the quietness and comfort.
