We stayed for a week at the Mark’s lake house and it exceeded all expectations. The house has a great layout. It has all of the amenities you would want and is well stocked. Great sunset views, and a wonderful Cove that you can swim in without worry of watercraft being close. The dock is awesome and has enough depth to dive off of. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and were able to tie it up easily on the floating dock. Overall, great week, awesome location on the lake. That’s convenient to everything.

This is a spectacular home! The pictures are spot on. Views are breathtaking and the home is so well equipped. The owner was great to communicate with. Can’t wait to return!

This property is immaculate, with modern, high-end appliances and furnishings. The living spaces and outdoor spaces are very roomy and comfortable. The level lot is a big plus. The cove is small and quiet, and set well back from the main channel so you don't get much boat traffic. The cove to the right adjoins the State Park so there are no houses over on that side. You definitely feel safe paddling around here.

We have rented this property from Mark 3 straight summers now. We love the house and the location. The house sits on one of the best locations on the lake and the owner Mark has always been great to work with. Thanks again and we look forward to our next visit.

This property is more beautiful than the pictures. It is in a great little cove with good water and access to the main lake quickly. The views are spectacular! The house is immaculately clean and the owners have thought of everything. We had a great time boating, fishing, eating on the covered porch and sitting on the deck and enjoying the view!

Island View is a beautiful, amazingly well-kept and clean property. We had a great week, communication with the owner was awesome; he was very accommodating. We look forward to returning next summer.

We have rented dozens of high end homes around the world. This was one of the nicest in every regard. The home was impeccably clean and well stocked in every category. The furnishings, views, location and spaciousness all resulted in a wonderful family vacation. And the dock and kayaks were a great bonus. My wife and I swam every day in the lake, and the cove on which the home sits was perfect for long swims; and the very nearby state park was wonderful for hiking. As nice as the pictures are, they do not do the home justice. Being there made us all feel relaxed and well. We recommended this property very highly.

We have rented vacation property for 20 years and this was the nicest house of all. It was beautifully situated with great views of the lake and sunset. A gradual sloped path to the boat dock was an easy walk for our 2 year old. grandson The owner has provided a lot of stuff including two kayaks which were a lot of fun. The house was spotless with very comfortable beds and furniture and a well organized and very clean modern kitchen.

I have been renting at Smith Mountain Lake for the last 7 years and this home was by far the most impressive. The location is tucked away on the lake yet has beautiful views of the lake. The house was very spacious, open and accommodating. There was a very modern look of the home with clean lines and open views of the lake from every room and bedroom facing the lake. I was thoroughly impressed with the house and the dock. The owner has done a great job of making the house very homely with a very modern look. All new appliances in a spacious kitchen. The owner himself is very customer focused and works to ensure that customers are comfortable and needs, if any, are addressed timely. Our family had a wonderful time at this home.

This is a beautiful house on an amazing piece of property. The pictures actually don’t do the house justice. The home and furnishings are all top notch. The setting on the lake could not be any more perfect. You are on nice secluded part of the lake near the state park. The dock worked perfectly for my boat and the owner provided kayaks which was very enjoyable for my whole family. The owner was easy to deal with and went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. I would highly recommend staying at this property. A big thank you to the owner.

This house has the perfect location (so close to a marina yet quite and peaceful), perfect view, and very thoughtful decoration & amenities. We had a great time. The owner is very responsive to emails and text messages, the home is well stocked with convenience for guests in mind.

Great House. Fantastic View. Could hardly have been any better.

We have been coming to the lake for over 30+ years. My parents retired here 25 years ago but to have more family there together we rent a house every year. We have been doing that for the last 5 years. Union Hall is an absolutely lovely home with gorgeous views of the state park, wide water and sunsets. The attention to detail to ensure our comfort was tremendous and much appreciated. We will definitely be back!

My family and I had a smashing time at SML. This house is fabulous with a great view of the lake and mountains. Everything is new and beautifully decorated. Kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed to cook our meals. The use of two Kayaks and the fire pit are such a nice touch. Does not get any better than this!

The home itself is beautiful in a great location on the lake (we have stayed on all parts of the lake and have been vacationing there for 10+ years). We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and everything the house had to offer, despite the fact that some things are incomplete (the dock is clearly still a work in progress). Those positives and our great week were quickly ruined by the owner who claimed that his cleaning team found damage the day we left, which he communicated via text. I immediately asked for more details and assured him that I wanted to work through any issues if there truly was damage. The owner sent me one picture via text that he admitted did not show the damage but promised he would get more photos and send them to me once received. Instead, a day later, he claimed the damage deposit and sent me a very rude text about how the damage while still admitting that he didn't have a quote to repair the supposed damage or additional photos to even show us the damage. It's clear he has put a lot of money into the renovations on the home and is now trying to get very penny from renters to offset his investment, even making up false claims to collect a deposit. There are homes that are just as nice in this part of the lake with far more reasonable and ethical owners.

We have been coming to Smith mountain lake since the mid 70's !! This house is by far the most beautiful. The attention to detail at this property was impeccable. The mattresses, bedding and all living areas are not only top notch but so comfortable. The outdoor area well where do I begin to explain this perfect. The porches up and down were housed with comfortable furniture whether you wanted to sit back and lounge or chill in a rocking chair or around the table to play a family game or have your dinner admiring the lake. The dock had a table and chairs to enjoy a meal. Also lots of other lounge chairs that rock. Kayaks and a firepit were also part of thid wonderful package ! The owner was amazing to work with and wants nothing but a perfect vacation for your family!! We see this home being a tradition with our family for years to come!!!
