We rented Chestnut and the two neighboring cabins for our wedding weekend. The properties were beautiful and the cabin was spacious. It was great being able to be so close to our friends and family!

This place could not have been more perfect for our group. We were in town for my partner’s 30th birthday with friends and we really enjoyed how the group could spread out in the space (9 total). The kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals. The porch was awesome. I was delightfully surprised at the entertainment options in Weaverville that we could walk to in 10 mins. When we went into downtown Asheville, Ubers were easy to call- they take 15-20 mins to arrive, which was totally fine, we just built that into our plans! The space truly made the trip for our group, and it was everything described in the listing/pictures and more. The host was very responsive to small questions we had during our stay as well. I’d go back to NC just to stay at this house.

My company is Walker Woodworking in Shelby, NC. We were installing cabinetry in a large residence in the area and instead of driving back and forth each day, I utilized this property.
My guys, very professional guys, really enjoyed staying there instead of hotel rooms. They were able to grill out in the evening, and enjoyed sitting on the porch.

This home was very charming and spacious. The kitchen had the comforts of home for cooking and dining.
The porch is a beautiful way enjoy your morning coffee or read a book. There are 2 TVs in the home for watching your favorite sports ( the TV's could use an upgrade)
You have to enter in the home on the bottom floor. The main living space is upstairs including the master bedroom and 2 additional rooms. This can be a problem for people who do not have the ability to walk up and down stairs.
Overall.... This was a very nice home. It's very close to shopping, food, Ashville and the Biltmore.

Easy check in, ample parking, lots of space with upstairs and downstairs living areas that works well for larger group. Nice entertainment centers, deck and quiet area. Highly recommend !

We rented all three cabins, and everything was ideal from their beautiful verdant setting and proximity to Asheville, Barnardsville, and quaint downtown Weaverville, to the fourteen bedrooms and spacious common areas.

My family and I loved the cabin! It was perfect for what we were looking for. The cabin was clean, had a well-stocked kitchen, and was a perfect home base for exploring Asheville and the surrounding area. Everyone was very comfortable and all were very impressed with the property. Highly recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was well-equipped and the size was perfect for our group of 8. We wanted to be near Asheville and were so glad we picked charming Weaverville. It was very quick and easy to get to places we wanted to go in and around Asheville and we loved coming back to the quiet tree-lined neighborhood. We loved everything about the house and location and will recommend it to friends and family.

Everything went really with our rental and our family gathering! It was just right for our group. We had 14 people and there was plenty of room for all our activities including making our huge holiday meal! Roger and Micki are great and pleasant to work with. Highly recommend Chestnut Lodge!

Multiple generations of our family met here for the week of Thanksgiving, traveling from Southern AL, Northern VA, and Central VA. It was perfect for us and one of the most well-equipped VRBO homes we’ve ever rented. The house was cozy and it was convenient to Asheville. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable (some were even adjustable). Great communication with the owner when we couldn’t get the TV to work to watch The World Cup! All fixed in no time. Would definitely recommend!

The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. The hosts offered everything we would need, from firewood to dishes to propane for the grill. I did find it odd that we were expected to spray the showers with tile cleaner after each use, and that we were asked to wash and dry the towels before the end of our stay , but this was also my first Vrbo stay, so maybe that’s the norm

A Perfect Mountain Getaway
This rental is worth it for the front porch alone. Rocking chairs, birdsong, the greenest of trees across the way. Really, really nice. We had a large group, all in town for a wedding. The house had everything we needed. We all loved it. Another perk is that you feel a thousand miles from everything, but the fun of Asheville is just a few minutes away. Highly recommended!

Family Time
Lovely cabin with enough room for my kids and grandkids to stay with us. It was stocked with some essentials that I forgot at home like coffee filters and cooking oil. It had enough pots,pans, and dishes to cook for a large family while staying in the cabin. This cabin was conveniently located near the central part of Weaverville which had grocery stores and restaurants. Plus a short ride to Asheville and the Biltmore.

Mountain Memories
We loved our rental in Weaverville! My husband and I lived in Asheville/Weaverville for 5 years and our first two daughters were born there. We wanted to share our love of the mountains with some friends and family so we had a road trip adventure! We even had a friend from Norway join us! We loved our cabin and it was a great “home base” for our many day trips as well as a cozy place to settle in at night.

Really enjoyed this stay. The cabin was very clean and well-decorated. There were instructions for everything, and the hosts left great recommendations for restaurants. The property was within walking distance of downtown Weaverville.

Quiet cabin
In town for a family wedding. The cabin is spacious with plenty of room to socialize. The upstairs bedrooms were very quiet - could not hear the late night folks downstairs. Very neat and clean.

Wedding Weekend
Our family along with my sister’s family had a wonderful time staying together as we celebrated my daughter’s wedding over Labor Day weekend in Asheville. The cabin was the perfect space to get away to rest, relax, and have fun yet close enough to Asheville that getting to rehearsal and wedding day events was easy.

There is much to rave about
This property is a great value for money and exactly as described. What we like best: log cabin theme, great beds, good sound proofing in bedrooms, good porch, down dead end street (great for kids & dogs to play), a/c, appliances & tv’s worked well, clean, with fun extras like swings and ping pong table. Very near Weaverville Main Street w great restaurants. 15 min to Asheville, and nice hikes less than 40 min away. What we missed: great Mountain Views, more comfortable porch seating and a better stocked kitchen for cooking for large family. (A few More pots & pans). All in all, would most definitely recommend!! We had a fantastic time.
