We stayed at this beautiful home with a couple of other families. We all went to JMU years (ok decades) ago and met up to spend NYE together. The panoramic views from most windows of this home are breathtaking. There is plenty of space for multiple families. We took advantage of the proximity to Massanutten Resort and went skiing/snowboarding. We also went to watch a JMU basketball game. The kids enjoyed seeing the horses and cows on the property. The property owners and manager were very prompt with communication. We had a great stay!

We - meaning all 23 of us for dinner 17 for 4 nights - had a perfect Thanksgiving in the very large and cozy, family friendly home. The house is beautiful and comfortable with gorgeous views outside all windows of the Shenandoah Valley. There are horses and long horned cattle! The kitchen handled the crowd well, although we did need to bring some extra big pans. A large family room with a stone fireplace that spanned an entire wall was perfect for the entire group to relax and enjoy. We had gorgeous walks right outside the door. The host made herself available to us when, for example, our ambitious cooking set off the fire alarms, and she was as warm and welcoming as her home. Altogether, a perfect Thanksgiving in a truly lovely home.

We used this property for a 10-year college reunion trip with friends and their families/children. When we arrived, the property was even more breathtaking than the pictures! Absolutely incredible and the house had everything our large crew could have dreamed of to help make our stay enjoyable, relaxing, and comfortable. We loved the fire pit, outdoor decks, space for kids to run around and play, and many group spaces for people to hang out and enjoy each other's company. The bedrooms were SO spacious for each little family to feel comfortable and well-rested. Additionally, the property owner and property manager were absolutely amazing in answering all of our questions ahead of time and during our stay. Many families commented that they want to come back again! The horses on property were a highlight for of all of the children and they loved getting to ride their bikes and scooters around the long, paved driveway.

What better month to see the leaves changing! Great views and the horses and longhorns were an added bonus! Plenty of room for our family to meet and celebrate! There were 20 of us!

The house and grounds are expansive and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were major contributors to the quality of our stay in late July. Bedroom on the top floor could have been cooler, but was OK with fans. Kitchen was well supplied and spacious. Panoramic views from every room. Owner made great suggestions for dining and recreation, as well as a great farmer's market in Harrisonburg.

Wonderful time had by all. 5 families, never felt overcrowded. Awe inspiring views no matter which way you look. Unforgettable trip.

This was our second time spending a week at this home and it gets better each year. The pool is the central point for my grandchildren and many an hour was enjoyed there. But the views and peacefulness of the Shenandoah valley were amazing. The location is great for alternate activities at Massanutten Resort where we did summer tubing and the town of Shenandoah where we did river tubing. Mary and Debbie were quick to respond to questions or any issues that came up (there were none) You won't be disappointed.

Our family of 14 had an awesome vacation last week. The surrounding mountains were beautiful. The well loved house was plenty of space for all of us. We enjoyed the pool and playing various ball games in the huge yard. Even though the weather turned cold and rainy, the family style kitchen area became the place of games, crafts and baking cookies. Hope to return in the future.

We had a wonderful time at the house. It was beautiful, spacious, well equipped and very clean. Loved the views and grounds with animals. Such a relaxing location! Would definitely return and recommend to others.

From start to finish this trip was EVERYTHING and more that we had hoped for!! This beautiful home was more than enough space for our party of 11 and had something that each person connected to!! Breathtaking views from every room in the house!! Both Mary Beth the owner and Debbie the caretaker of the property were AMAZING!!! We had a group of about 16, ranging from a couple of our teenagers to 50. The house accommodated everyone nicely! We made use of the grill and firepit and had many laughs over coffee on the back deck. We were in town for a JMU football game and while this was out of the hustle and bustle of homecoming weekend crowds, it was super convenient to the school. We loved the space in the house as everyone had an area to suite them and their activities. It was quite accommodating of a large group! The owners were wonderful to work with and happily complied to a couple of requests that we made. We would absolutely return for another friends weekend! My friends and I had a wonderful stay at this property. Unlike other reviews, we had no issues with bugs (perhaps due to the time of year), and the pictures online did not do the views or the house justice. We have already recommended the house to other friends!

I mean all I can say is wow! We absolutely loved the house and location. Everything was wonderful! The views were like a painting, we had to keep pinching ourselves to make sure we weren’t dreaming. The kids loved watching all the animals on the farm and the pool. We even took them to the children's museum in Harrisonburg. The house location was perfect, far enough away from the city noise but close enough to take a short trip if you wanted to do activities.

The house and property are impressive. The views are truly magnificent. The pictures on VRBO when we were looking in January are a bit dated and differ some from the current layouts, especially in the basement and there was one not two twin beds in the attic. All the essentials worked fine, but there are some maintenance issues in the kitchen with the griddle and oven doors not closing properly. The pool was enjoyed tremendously by adults and children alike but could have been cleaner and clearer. The pool would benefit from regular vacuuming, skimming, and chlorine treatments.

Our stay was very nice. Three generations of fun. The house is solidly built and an amazing property. There were a few maintenance issues that didn't really affect our stay, but our stay would have been enhanced without those minor issues. ~ One washer not working, flooded bedroom in basement on our last night (from heavy rain) ~

This is about as good as it gets for a quiet mountain getaway. Enormous house with tons of space, and an incredible 360 view of the mountains (sunrise from the kitchen, sunset from the front porch). The house is everything as advertised, and for any small issue, Mary Beth was very fast to respond and make things right (even to order us a missing tv remote). I was impressed by the well stocked kitchen, and our family was surprisingly impressed with how good the local restaurants were (Thunderbird cafe, Romano Italian restaurant, 1835 smokehouse around the corner and a decent Mexican place who's name I forget). The outside part of the house made the trip. 3 generations (ages 5-72) loved the pool area, and we spent the majority of our time in the pool area. The views by the pool were beautiful, and maybe the weather helped (it was late August and 90+ everyday), but the temperature of the pool was perfect. If there was any downside to the property, it was the spotty internet. Not to say we couldn't get online, but streaming tv froze a lot (although compared to other mountain houses I've stayed in, the service was quite good). The bugs are also always present, but not to be unexpected considering the location. All in all, we all agreed the house was well worth the money, and we discussed returning in the future.

Beautiful home, my family and I loved the house, we all had plenty of room and space even if you wanted quiet time to yourself. I really enjoyed family being together instead of separate hotel rooms. The pool and hot tub was a plus , the kids loved the pool. I have to say Debbie, the project manager was very nice and helpful. Debbie responds quickly to all your questions or concerns. There were horses , Bulls and Cows on the property but at a distance and fenced in :-). The scenery BEAUTIFUL! There were some cons the insects, flies and gnats so many which I think was due to the animals. But never the less it was annoying and we had to clean in the morning the gnats from table, counter, window ledge and floor. The furniture needs an upgrade and the deck off the kitchen would be nicer if it was a screened in deck keep some of the insects away. Would I vacation at this property again or recommend this property to anyone absolutely! Thank you Mary Beth and Debbie.

The property was very clean and comfortable, more than adequately stocked, and in an absolutely picturesque (and convenient) location. Moreover, in terms of both proactive/reactive communications, the property owner/manager were timely, detailed and went above/beyond to ensure our trip was smooth/enjoyable. We plan to visit again soon!

We rented this property for our daughters graduation from JMU. It was a perfect location for us to relax and enjoy the long weekend with family. The location was absolutely beautiful with panoramic views from all sides! The porches are amazing and the cattle and horses provide great entertainment. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The kitchen was very well equipped - we cooked in every night and found everything we needed. Beautiful spot for family gatherings! Mary Beth and Debbie were both great hosts and answered all of our questions. Everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We highly recommend the Panoramic Homestead and would love to return someday! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! 💛💜

Can't stop gushing about the property - Can't find any idyllic place so close to DC....truly refreshing and claiming experience- Debbie and Mary Beth are super welcoming and helpful. Can't wait to come back here soon with family!

This home is absolutely gorgeous. But the real gem, is this property. Surrounded by mountains, beautiful horses and cattle make for a great view from every window. The hosts are very accommodating and responsive. This home slept our group of 13 comfortably, with clean lines, ample bathrooms, and comfortable beds. This overall was a 5 star experience for our hiking group and we will certainly recommend. *added bonus for the basketball hoop and dedicated playing area in the driveway.
