Denise, the owner goes way out of her way to make sure you stay is top notch! Great communication and very thorough with instructions. She was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. The place itself was extremely clean and had everything you need. The view was to die for!!! We will definitely be back

The property offers a perfect view of the mountains and an even better location to get to all the local attractions. Would recommend to anyone looking visit Sugar Mountain and/or Grandfather Mountain.

We had a great time. The condo was awesome, just as described. Very clean and had everything we needed. The staff at the resort were so nice. The condo owner was great with communicating during our stay. We cannot wait to come back!

Great rental, incredible views, very clean, and the beds are so comfortable. We had a VERY relaxing weekend, (month of May) even without skiing! Location was excellent as Food Lion and restaurants were minutes away. We visited many parks in the short amount of time for picnicking, exercising, and listening to small waterfalls. Kitchen was fully equipped for all of our meals that we cooked. The washed/dryer was helpful. The balcony has the most amazing views wherever you turned. I can’t tell you how many times we witnessed a fascinating storm or a beautiful sunset. Just being able to sit on the balcony, taking in the fresh air will take away any stress that you may have had. The shuttle service was very reliable with friendly security, front desk, and shuttle drivers. You could tell that the employees enjoyed their job. The condo had so many amenities that allowed something for everyone in our party- indoor pool, hot tub, exercise room, sauna, a lobby full of comfy couches and chairs to read from a small library that they offered with books and magazines. It was so helpful to have a small gift/snack shop on the property when I realized I forgot my razor. The host provided extra temporary toothbrushes when my son remembered he left his toothbrush at home. The host was very helpful with properly timed updates and quick response to text and other communications. I miss being there already. We would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

My son and I stayed at Denise & Ed's condo for a weekend to do some hiking in the area. The condo is located on top of Sugar Mountain with a beautiful sunset view. The staff at the condo complex was very friendly. The condo was very clean and even had starter coffee, shampoos, soaps. The beds were very comfy. Denise was very communicative and ensured that we arrived safely and had a wonderful stay. What a great experience!

Where to begin, it was our first snowboarding trip in years, randomly booked a spot, and off we went. Little did I know, we booked an awesome place. We drove up in the rain and fog, the rain kept us off the slopes in the afternoon, luckily Denise is easy to reach and we asked to check in early to settle in before hitting the night session at sugar mountain. Finally arriving, it was very windy and foggy, but I just knew there was a good view beyond the deep fog. The next morning we finally got the full picture of where we had landed.We spent the next 2 days snowboarding and fly fishing in absolute bliss. We needed that refreshing vacation, all topped off with a mile high view and a cozy place to cook dinner and rest. We had so much fun I forgot my rain gear in the closet, Denise was happy to ship them back to us! Truly grateful for the whole experience, we will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at this place. Denise was attentive and communicative. The view from the living room and the master bedroom was fabulous: ski trails were nearby, and a beach mountain was in the distance. The front desk staff was friendly, and the shuttle bus driver was super nice.

Condo was great clean Sugar top unit. The host communication was great and they offered an early check in which was nice. Stayed at lots of rentals, this one has views for days!

We had a wonderful stay and plan to return soon. At check in, there was only one key. Denise quickly had another key made for us. She made our stay very enjoyable by giving attention to details overlooked by other places we have stayed. I highly recommend this condo. It was also great to just take the shuttle bus to and from the front door of Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. Shuttle buses run often and this was so nice.

This was an deal location with just a short walk to the slopes. The unit was clean and had everything I needed to make it home while I was there. These accommodations were surely surprising for the low rate that was charged. This is a great place to stay and I highly recommend checking it out.

We visited with our family of 5 to ski Sugar. This was a great location. We opted to get a locker at the ski resort to store our things and drove down each day. Denise was correct, an all wheel drive car is definitely needed as we got ice and snow all night making the road down the mountain a bit dicey the next morning. The property did a great job of salting the roads however. The condo is clean, had all the items we needed in the kitchen and we also appreciated having the washer/dryer in the unit. We highly recommend this for your next stay!

This condo was such a delight in so many ways. CLEAN, comfortable, great location, friendly staff and AFFORDABLE! Also our host Denise goes above and beyond with customer service. She offered a wealth of helpful information about the condo/area/things to do etc and was always welcoming and available in our communications. Highly recommend and look forward to returning!

Real nice condo. Nice views. Works perfectly for 4-5 people. Getting back and forth from the room to the parking lot can be a hassle. Definitely would stay there again.

My family and I stayed at this location for a week! It was absolutely wonderful! The view was to die for to start, we loved how it was slope side facing and in walking distance to the best slope sugar mountain has to offer! Hands down best experience ever! The 2 hot tubs and sauna and steam room along with an amazing pool put some extra "sugar" on our enjoyment. Not to mention the total of 6'inches of snow and the rush of crowds was gone. WE NEVER LEFT THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN and hated having to come home. This is officially our home away from home!

This was an amazing accommodation! The views were spectacular and the amenities were perfect for my little family. The shuttle service was easy to maneuver. The best part of this booking was by far the amazing correspondence and guidance I recieved from the hosts. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful condo.

Dianne was the most gracious host, she answered all of my questions before our family arrived at the resort and was so helpful and even gave us suggestions of things to do in the area. My grandson had the best time in front of the fire place after he enjoyed the indoor pool. I asked if there would be a Christmas tree up because me grandson was so excited about Christmas and she made it happen!!! We will definitely make coming to Sugar Mountain resort and booking with Diane our new family tradition..

We stayed up in the Sugar Mountain area for a few days for a birthday celebration. Facilities and kitchen etc had everything we needed. Two grocery stores nearby, multiple restaurants 10-15min drive away. Great views from the condo on clear days. Faultless communication with the hosts beforehand and during. Cannot recommend any more! Can’t wait to come back with our other children

Overall we would highly recommend this getaway! The location, situated on top of sugar mountain, offers beautiful scenery, and a sense of seclusion which is perfect for a romantic weekend. The owner Denise is also an absolute pleasure to work with. She is extremely accommodating, and going the extra mile to make sure your stay is the best it could possibly be! We will definitely be back!

This property was extremely clean, updated, and had a stunning view! The property owner Denise was AH-MAY-ZING and did everything possible to ensure we were enjoying her property/our stay. The shuttle personnel and the staff at the front desk were also so friendly and accommodating and we never had to wait more than a minute or so. We are looking/hoping to rebook the property for our family vacation this summer. Highly recommended!

We journey yearly up to the Banner Elk region. We have often stayed at Sugar Top and this was one of the best Condos we have stayed in. It was so comfortable from the extremely comfortable leather sofa sectional to the Fluffy soft towels. We loved the layout and the decor including the beautiful nature photos decorating the walls. The unit is close to the elevators making it a simple walk for us with physical concerns. The kitchen was well equipped so that cooking was a pleasure. The owner made it clear that she was ready and available to correct any problem or concerns to give us the best vacation possible. We plan to visit again. Loved the unit.

We decided to take a trip to Banner Elk on short notice to visit family. Came across this listing and noticed it was owner direct and not a rental company. I always prefer this. Property was great! Owner was the best host we have worked with. Great communication and price of the unit was a great value. Will definitely stay with them on our next trip up!! All furniture was nice and updated. Plenty of towels and linens. The condo was very well stocked on supplies and toiletries.

Great value for the money! My three teenage boys and I had a great time. The check-in was seamless, and the staff was polite. Even though parking was down the hill, we never had to wait for the shuttle going to or coming from the car. There are two grocery stores when you get down the mountain- between the condo and the entrance to Sugar Mountain Resort - super convenient. Denise was very responsive and sent a ton of helpful information. Will stay here again.

We had a great trip to Banner Elk made much better by our stay at Sugar top. The views of the mountains and the slopes and the pool for the kids were perfect. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to eat, sleep, and relax! Will def consider staying there again on our next trip to BE. Thank you!!
