Great property located on Rio Grande's beautiful beach. The views from the villa are stunning - miles of sandy beach and swaying palm trees coupled with the relaxing sound of Puerto Rico's famous coquis (tree-frogs) and tropical birds makes this a truly relaxing stay. The Rio Mar complex provides residents and visitors miles of sandy beaches, pools, well kept golf course, tennis courts, restaurants. All of these amenities are provided with the tranquility that only a gated community can provide. Also well situated near the the rainforest and all the diving amenities in nearby Fajardo. Can't wait to go back.

This villa is in a beautiful spot with gorgeous views from your balcony. The pool and hot tub facilities are astounding and so private and not crowded! The apartment is well equipped and comfortable. Beds comfortable but queens in one bedroom very high if you are elderly etc! Otherwise would not hesitate to rent again. Owner is very responsive to questions or any small problems.

The resort location is absolutely stunning! Something you see out of a magazine. My family and I had a blast! We enjoyed this vacation so much! It was difficult to leave!

Nice place overall. The bedrooms are spacious, AC works very well, and the views are great. The location is very central fun family activities like El Yunque, Luquillo, and an easy commute to San Juan. Some of the property is showing its wear- the elevators for example were hit or miss and the washer/dry struggled to keep up with the humidity. Wasn’t enough to take away from the overall experience but worth noting.

We had a great time at Rio Mar! The place was exactly as described and perfect for our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids). Excellent location. Loved the beach, which we almost had to ourselves. It was a great stay and we would love to come back!

This was a great property for our family of 4. The location was awesome, right on a nice walkable 2.5 miles, and swimmable beach when the Rip Currents are not active. The villas have beautiful pools that were quiet and kept very clean. The resort area was well maintained and lots of paths and roads for daily walks. It was an easy drive to El Yunque, Farajado and San Juan from the condo and many stores and restaurants around. The unit was a very well stocked with everything we needed for our meals. The kitchen even had a little Ninja grill which we did not use but was a nice addition. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels and linens. The unit was very clean and had all we needed. I do agree with other reviewers that the property itself could use a little sprucing up. The elevators were particularly worn and there were some areas around the pool that could be better maintained. However the pool bathrooms were recently modernized and very nice. so I expect the rest will be updated as well. The resort staff were very friendly and helpful when needed. It was quite busy but we did not have a problem securing pool or beach chairs through the week. Communication was excellent! I would highly recommend!

This was the first time my family had an enjoyable vacation! My husband, 2 yr old, myself and my mother all stayed at the property this past March and had a fantastic time. The size of the unit was perfect for the amount of people and you cannot beat the location! We were able to run down to the pool or beach or walk over to the main hotel at any time. We will definitely be going back! The pool area for this property was nice and quiet / family friendly. Appreciated that the unit was stocked with toys and lifejackets for our daughter. Was truly a seamless vacation. Cannot recommend this place enough!

The check in process was easy. Excellent communication and responsiveness of the owner and property manager. Perfect location. Awesome beach and condo. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable 2 bedroom condo perfect for my wife, our daughter and her friend. Pools and hot tub were great. beach was beautiful. Resort was quite large and there were several miles of roads that were easy to walk on for exercise. We don't golf, but the gold course was beautiful and uncrowded. 25 minute drive to Fajardo for fishing. Several good restaurant within a few minute drive. Grocery is less than 5 minutes away. Kitchen small but manageable and well stocked.

Our goal was to relax and enjoy the beach - this was perfect. The place was large and had a superb view with a wonderful balcony. We were close enough to the hotel that we could use their facilities and restaurants as well. We highly recommend it!

The host, Michelle, was very communicative, and the property manager provided detailed instructions on check-in procedures and directions. Both provided local recommendations. The property was as advertised with great amenities on site as well as at the adjacent Wyndham. While technically only the restaurants/bars are available to the guests of the Ocean Villas, it was not crowded during our stay, and we had no problem using the Wyndham pool, although we only went one day because the pools on site were so wonderful. If you are looking for a quiet resort style location, this is it! If you are looking for lots of activity and partying, this is not it! It was perfect for our family and centrally located allowing us to enjoy outings to San Juan, Fajardo, Luquillo, and El Yunque Rainforest easily. The Luquillo kiosks are just up the road. The condo itself was also as advertised and nicely equipped with beach and pool items, volleyballs (volleyball net on site), and football along with a stocked kitchen. Overall, a great stay!

The condo was perfect. Overlooking the water. The parking spot and pools are right underneath. The hotel/casino is right next door. The location is close to the rainforest, fishing and snorkeling spots. The only negative is the property is looking a bit worn. There is peeling paint, rust areas on metal. The landscaping is kept beautiful however.

We loved the location on the NE part of the island, with access to El Yunque, beaches, restaurants, and lots of outdoor activities. The pools on the property were relaxing for evening swims, and there were fun but not scary waves to bodysurf on the beachfront that was only about 30 meters away. The unit was great for our family of 4 and we found the owners to be responsive and easy to interact with.

Rooms are perfectly equipped for all ages. Spacoius and beautifully designed. Our only negative was the extremely worn beds that could use replacing.

Exactly as advertised! Beautiful views truly steps from the beach, well stocked with everything from towels to beach chairs, an umbrella and more. Would definitely stay again!

Loved our time away.

Wow what a place to stay. Very nice condo with magnificent views. Easy to get to and super secure resort area. Beautiful soft sand and ultra clear water. Great area to stay at in Puerto Rico. Resort was well stocked with entry of chairs and towels etc. Needed nothing. We will definitely stay here again. Host was super nice with lots of info about the area with recommendations. Had our wedding on the beach walking distance from the resort.

Michelle's property was just as it appeared in photos and even better than expected. The beach is very long (walkable) and pristine, and there are 2 nice pools and a hot tub. The condo itself has 2 wonderful balconies and is large enough for 4 adults to stay comfortably. We appreciated how well stocked it was, including kitchen essentials and beach towels. Michelle was a wonderful communicator, providing restaurant and outing recommendations. We loved our vacation and plan to return!

Incredible views, beach front, nice big infinity pool, close to el yunque. Only thing needed on the property is cosmetic updating.

My husband and I brought our 3 kids (13,10 and 9) for a 5 day stay. The unit was a perfect size for us- the kids had a separate bedroom and bathroom area for themselves. The balconies have great views of the beach and the pools. It was great waking up each morning to that palm tree and ocean view! The pictures don't lie! Kitchen has everything you need in terms of coffee maker, air fryer, blender, oven, microwave, big fridge, dishwasher and plates, cups, pans, etc. Laundry in unit was a huge blessing- don't need to pack as much! We will happily return! Location is great- about 45 min to Old San Juan, 30 min to the airport and 20 min to El Yunque and about 30 min to Fajardo for bioluminescent bay! This is a great spot in PR!!

We were very happy with the location of this villa as we could walk right out to the beach, hang out at the private pools, or walk next door to all the bars and restaurants at the Wyndham. The drive to El Yunque was only ~ 15 minutes which was very convenient as well. The villa property was clean and in good condition, although it is starting to show some signs of aging. There are AC units in each bedroom and the living room which kept the whole villa nice and cool. We really enjoyed sitting out on the comfy furniture on the balcony with the view of the ocean. The property owner was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had.

The location is ideal for day trips to El Yunque, Old San Juan and the ferry terminal to Culebra. We enjoyed the view and access to an excellent beach on the resort grounds. The building is currently undergoing some needed renovations and repairs as of our stay in late March 2023. Exterior patch and paint is ongoing and appears to have a good way to go. One of two building elevators was out of service the entire week. The hot tub was not heated and a plumbing issue affecting the entire building resulted in zero running water for a few hours coinciding with a few days of significant interior odor that was likely related but subsided within a day or two of the repair. Aside from those items, the unit was plenty spacious for our family of 5 and while the kitchen is well appointed, the appliances are in need of repair (dishwasher and fridge each had broken interior parts). None of the above affected our stay in a significant way, but are noteworthy and overall the property and communications with the owner were excellent.

Our family of five rented this condo for our spring break. The condo is very spacious and well appointed. It has plenty of beach chairs, beach towels, toys etc. The a/c and wi-fi work great. The complex has several pools, volleyball, beach tennis, and easy access to the Wyndham hotel next-door. We spent one day exploring El Yunque and another day we rented a catamaran out of Fajardo. Grocery stores and Walgreens etc are close by. Highly recommend!

We had a great trip- loved the location and Michelle was fantastic to connect with both before the trip (great local tips) and during our trip!

It was wonderful. I wish it would’ve been longer.

We had a lot of fun. Visited El Yunque and even made it to Calebra this time.

Beach front vacation at its finest

I stayed from Christmas night until New Year's Eve with my husband, and 2 kids (18 and 20). The location was ideal with proximity to San Juan (Old San Juan- charming, Ron del Barrilito distillery- amazing!), El Yunque National Forest minutes away (book your $2 reservation at 8 am the day before), and Fajardo (kayaking at Laguna Grande bioluminescent bay with Island Kayaking Adventure and snorkeling/catamaran half day trip to Icacaos with Sail Getaways), plus the fun Laquillo kiosks. My favorite things about the villa- large enough for my family to be together comfortably, has great beds, a fully equipped kitchen, a spectacular beach view balcony, beach gear (although 1 more chair would have been helpful), quiet pools, and proximity to the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar (for restaurants, bars, casino). Also, we loved the easy access to supermarkets so we could load up on breakfast and snacks (and cocktail mixers). I walked for miles every morning on the beach and often had it to myself! Michelle (the owner) was an excellent communicator, as was Melissa (the on-site Ocean Villas manager). We can't wait to return!

I highly recommend this rental! The location is fantastic - right on the beach and 15 minutes from El Yunque, 35-40 minutes east of Old San Juan, and 30 minutes west of the Fajardo bio-luminescent bay. The main Wyndham hotels with its restaurants and other amenities is less than a 10 minute walk away. The property itself is exactly as described and photographed but is better stocked than we anticipated. There were ample blankets, pillows, and towels (both bath and beach) and a great stash of beach gear. The beds and furniture are comfortable and new. The unit is next to the elevator, but there is no noise from that. The parking spot is next to the elevator too, which was great for the people in my group with limited mobility. Michelle was a great host - very quick to respond to any communication and very generous. I think this was one of the best vacation rental experiences we've had.

We visited for my Mom's 60th birthday (her first true vacation in 10 years) and were so sad to leave! Michelle was lovely to talk with and super responsive. The home is clean and bigger than pictures allude, with outstanding views of a nearly empty beach (in December). The kitchen is fully stocked and included common spices, dish soap, and laundry soap. It's so nice to see everything is not wasted following a stay but may benefit the next guest :) Seeing the moon rise over the water, with perfect clouds and palms framing it, was so magical. It was nice being close to many restaurants and Fajardo for a couple excursions. Access to El Yunque can't be beaten (but be sure to get reservations)! 100% would stay again and again!!
