I can't say enough about this place and the hosts! The house is beautifully decorated with all the amenities we wanted. The hosts were rapid in their responses to our questions and Tamarindo Beach is a special area.

The Villa could not have been more perfect in every way. It's our favorite stay out many annual visits to Tamarindo. We six ladies plan to return to enjoy the villa, the sunshine and the hospitality. And at our request hosts had installed key pad door locks so we never had to search for or try to share keys. So thoughtful and much appreciated. Hosts were very accessible by prompt email with all our extra planning questions.

First of all, Russ and Duncan are amazing hosts, very attentive to the needs of their tenants and very accessible. The villa is located in a quiet location very close to the beach and 25 minutes walk from Tamarindo, a lively place filled with very good restaurants and very trendy shops. The layout of the villa was perfect for our family (5 adults) and was very well equipped. And what about the swimming pool area, wow! Thanks again to Russ and Duncan for allowing us to live in their magnificent property. We now know what Pura Vida is!!

We had our family vacation with our adult kids and we always try to do a destination Christmas! This villa was the perfect place for us. Everyone has their own space and the pool in courtyard with the fountain was so serene. The kids went to surf and my husband and I enjoyed hanging out at the villa. I would recommend Russ and Duncan’s place to anyone!! Pura Vida!!

Villa Encantada is a quiet, private place close to a beautiful, uncrowded beach and several good restaurants. The property is well-maintained, well-stocked, and comfortable. We look forward to returning.

Great place! Great location and amenities

The house was at a perfect location. Quiet Langosta Beach, but a few minutes walk to Tamarindo. House was perfect size for our family. Cool design too. Only complaint: could have been a bit cleaner.

Villa is perfect for 4-6 guest. We stayed with two adults and 2 children and it was perfect. Pool was very nice and refreshing. Saw plenty of wildlife at the villa, birds, howler monkeys, lizards, etc. Property owners are very responsive to any issues. We loved the beach across the street and the one located at the beach club. No beach view from villa but that's okay. Beaches along the coast are all different. Worth exploring them. Food in town and along the way at the various restaurants was great. Never had a bad meal. Overall, had a wonderful experience.

The villa was amazing! We have stayed all over the world and this stands out as one of the best for our family of 5 adults. We all had enough room and privacy especially with the 3 1/2 bathrooms The kitchen was well stocked. The towels and linens were ample. The private pool was fabulous to step into after a long day of adventures. We really liked also having access to the beachclub where we ended up spending about half of our days. The food and service there was like a 5 star hotel. Access to water equipment and surf lessons was another plus. Even though the villa was not on the beach the walk there was incredibly short and made for an easy way to watch the sunset. Being away from downtown Tamarindo was nice and made me feel very safe. Duncan & Russell were so easy to work with. The guidebook for the Villa was expecially detailed. They truly want their guests to have a good experience. I would not hesitate to recommend this Villa to any of our friends who go to this area. PURA VITA!!

We loved our stay at Villa Encantada! The location gave us easy access to the beach that was steps away, was a quick walk to the langosta beach club, and close to tamarindo to shop and explore. The 3-bedroom villa was beautiful and perfect for our family of 5. We loved the pool and the many fountains and water features made it feel like our own private oasis. During our stay we explored the beaches and Tamarindo, went zip-lining, tubing, horse-back riding, and surfing. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and fun activities that the entire family enjoyed. We hope to visit again in the futures. Special thanks to the owners Duncan and Russell for being so helpful and always quick to respond to questions and offer recommendations.

We just returned from a 10 day fun filled stay. The house is in a great location - close to everything and near the prettiest stretch of beach. We rented a golf cart (through Waterman’s sports down the street) which made it so easy to drive into town (10 minutes) for dinners/shopping etc. We loved the Langosta Beach Club and went there almost every day. We met so many fun people at the pool and took surf lessons and went horseback riding. Great time and we’ll be back for sure.

The villa is well appointed and well located. The beach across the street is a hidden gem! We loved being outside of the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo but close enough to make it easy to get in and out when we needed to. RPM was also great with booking tours. The homeowner was easy to reach and very responsive to questions. My only note for future renters is that there are no window coverings in 2 of the three bedrooms, so be aware that the early morning sun shines in! Otherwise, it was perfect for us and that wouldn't hold us back from booking again!

Stayed for 8 days, with my three kids, 5, 10, and 16. The description of the property was accurate, and it was beautiful. From the private pool, amazing showers, and decor, all made the stay very relaxing. A few bounuses included the wildlife right there: iguana's, howling monkey, and butterflies. The beach across the street was also amazing. We mabe saw a handful of people at most, and spent most of our days hanging out there. We didn't even need a car, as taxi's and golf cart rentals are available to get you into town, if you care to hit the local shops or grocery store. We have donr many beach vacations all over the world, and this is place is one of the top locations we have visited. Thanks for having us!

Very clean and wellappointed property. We loved our stay

Our family, including two kids and my wife’s mother, spent a wonderful week at the villa. It is close enough to Tamarindo to offer all the amenities you might want—great restaurants (our best meal was just down the road at the Hotel Capitan Suizo; also great Italian food just steps away at Fishes and Cheeses—the Italian owner is a great host; and the pizza at the place next to the rental office is quite good), access to the beach club, an American-style supermarket, etc. —but removed enough from the town to be private and quiet. The property is great: nice pool, all of the kitchen accoutrements you’d want; lots of windows to open when you want to enjoy open air, and good air conditioners when you need to cool it down. The folks in the rental office were very helpful with activities when we asked. The highlight was a private boat tour they arranged for us—snorkeling, fishing (caught a beautiful mahi mahi that they cleaned for us and we grilled at the villa), and a beautiful sunset. The beach club is a nice perk for when you want to veg at a pool or on the beach and have drinks and food brought to you. The owners have really done a good job on details, including all of the information provided in advance online. We enthusiastically recommend the villa!

My kids & I enjoyed 8 days of bliss at the Villa Encantada! We loved the private pool & the unique sauna like indoor/outdoor bathrooms. The whole Villa had such character it made our whole stay in Costa Rica seem more authentic than if we stayed in a hotel. I rented a car from Adobe & had no trouble driving around after a short time getting used to limited signage. We loved the beaches & did the local eco adventure zip-line & horseback tours. We all were sad to leave, 8 days was definitely not enough time. The Villa had a much more homey, comfortable feel to it than the pictures presented. The information guide was very thorough & helpful. Too sum it up, we would return in a heartbeat. Thank you Russ & Duncan!

We stayed at the Villa Encantada for ten days and could not have asked for a better place. The property was clean and had everything we needed. The layout was perfect for a family of four and my kids especially loved the beautiful pool- it was like our own personal spa with all the plants. We had a daily visit for the iguanas and even saw a couple of monkeys hanging out in our tree. It was close to town but quiet, peaceful, and private. There are numerous resturants within walking distance. I can't recomend this property enough! Thanks for the great stay, we will definetly be back.

The villa was very nice and comfortable for our family of 5 (18,16, and 15 year old kids). It is in a good location close enough to get to Tamarindo by bike, but quiet enough for relaxation. The on-site pool was fantastic, kitchen great, and a good layout. The ocean was across the street and there is a great beach near the Occidental Hotel about a 1/3 mile away. The pizza place down the street (opens at 5pm), the sports bar (cash only) around the corner, and Fish and Cheeses are good spots to get something to eat within walking distance. Marcella at Watermans for bike and surf rental is great and right down the street. Of course there is Tamarindo that is easily accessible by bike (10 minutes), or a cheap $5 cab ride. We rode bikes there daily. There are endless places to eat, drink, and do whatever you want. It is a busy little town, but a lot of fun. We used the Langosta Beach Club while there. This is an added benefit to using the villa. Everyone at the LBC is fantastic. The food is good, the beach is nice, and the pool is well laid out. The LBC is a 5 minute bike ride, or you can walk there as well. We really enjoyed our time in Playa Langosta at the Villa and will plan on another return trip. My only recommendation would be to do something about the front door and installing a stop in it to prevent it from slamming shut.

Villa Encantada was a perfect place for a quiet get away. The location was perfect to enjoy Playa Langosta and close enough for easy access to Tamarindo with none of the noise or hustle and bustle. The Villa had everything we could possibly need while the RPM staff were available and attentive. We stayed two weeks here and would have loved to be able to stay longer. Truly one of our favorite vacations.

Villa Encantada completely exceeded our family’s expectations. Somehow, the beautiful pictures still don’t even do it justice. The villa itself is gorgeous, supplied with all of the necessities. The pool area was even bigger than we were expecting and allowed for plenty of space in both the sun and the shade. The pool with the fountain made for a relaxing and private retreat. Our group of 6 fit comfortably in the villa. We couldn’t even decide on which room was the best because they all have something so special about them. The outdoor feel of each shower felt so refreshing after a long day in the sun. The grill area allowed us to have a few evenings in to cook for ourselves which was a huge plus. We tried to see the sunset each night and the pathway just across the street made it easy to do so. Having access to the beach club was a HUGE plus. Even though the pool at the villa was great, it was just nice to have the option to mix it up if we wanted. The location is close to town, but a short cab ride away. We found a taxi driver at the beginning of the trip and called him any time we needed a ride. Usually after we went out to eat and the air was cooler, we would walk home which took about 15-20 minutes. A housekeeper came twice during our stay and pool cleaner came once – even more than we expected! We used RPM to book all of our excursions and they did not disappoint. Every company they put us in contact with had outstanding hospitality. The office is right down the street and is convenient to walk over and book with them in person. The owners were very responsive and incredibly helpful while booking and all the way up until our trip. The welcome packet gives you all the info you could possibly need, and they answered any/all questions we had outside of the information provided. All in all we had an amazing stay and we thank Russ and Duncan for their hospitality and beautiful villa!

It is very nice and relaxing house with short ride or walk to the beach. House has all necessary stuff. Pool is gorgeous. There are many places to eat. I put 4 stars because of cleanliness of the house.

If you need a place to stay with the comforts of home and a great location stay at villa enchanted! Russ and Duncan have created a wonderful home and beautiful environment! The opportunity to use the Playa Langosta Beah Club was fabulous and the staff at RPM was exceptional!!!

We had a great stay! The home was absolutely beautiful. We had an amazing vacation. If you get a chance go to Playa Brasalito and find Luis and Raul they will take you out on their boat for snorkeling, spear fishing and have your catch cooked at the local restaurant. I also recommend going on the ATV tour in Brasalito with Devyi.

Villa Encantada was just as described when we arrived. We were extremely happy with the property and the location. We had howler monkeys all over the place, which made the kids happy. Those at RPM were quick to act whenever we needed them to address an issue. We can't wait to come back and visit again.

My wife and I stayed at Villa Encantada in early May. Great overall experience! The owners were extremely helpful from the moment we booked. The Villa is literally a 1 minute walk to the beach and within 5 minutes of most restaurants in area (we rented a golf cart). Very convenient location. Away from the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo but close enough to enjoy it. The Villa is very spacious and provides plenty of room. We spent most of our time out by (or in) the pool. Very nice outdoor pool area!!! The Langosta Beach Club membership provided by the owners of the Villa is a nice perk as well. We would definitely stay at this Villa again when we visit the Tamarindo area!

My family of 6 had a wonderful time staying at the Enchanted Villa at Langosta Beach in tamarindo! The Villa is so charming and had everything we needed for a week vacation! The pool is beautiful and refreshing! A great area to lounge. The villa is very close to all the restaurants and shops. We rented a golf cart and it was very easy tto get get around. The Langosta beach is just across the street and is a great place to watch the sunset and exploring. The Tamarindo beach is not too far by foot. We also took advantage of the Langosta Beach Club membership and enjoyed the amenities there. We had a great time and will most likely stay here again in our next visit!

The villa was nicely appointed with furniture and decorations and the kitchen well-stocked with equipment, but no pantry items except some salt, sugar packets, and coffee filters. It was clean and supplied with plenty of towels, beach towels, and sheets. The showers were cool, no hot water. The pool/outdoor area was fabulous and lush - we totally enjoyed having a private pool. Nice eye-opener in the morning. There were howler monkeys the first two mornings we were there, which was absolutely the coolest thing (but then again, there was also caca in the pool once). The outdoor maintenance person, Jacinto, was super helpful and his smile was always ready and sincere. There was a guard outside. We rented a golf cart, since town was a long, hot, dusty walk or bus ride. The website said daily maid service was provided, but we only had maid service once on the fifth of ten days. Place was dusty and I ended up having to mop, dust, change sheets, do laundry, take out trash out, clean toilets, etc. The pool guy also came the fifth day and again the seventh day. Otherwise, RPM, the management company, was VERY helpful and always courteous and prompt. They helped us arrange tours and shuttles, such as a tour to Palo Verde, which was a highlight of our trip. The Langosta Beach Club membership is a plus and helped us on our first days as we were getting oriented. The food and drinks were good, but spendy, but so was just about everything. Definitely don't eat at the airport. We paid $36.00 for two sandwiches with drinks and fries because we didn't have time to eat before we had to check out of the villa at 10am09. The welcome letter said we would need to buy our own toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwashing liquid, laundry soap, bath soap, etc. Actually, most of it was there, so we brought a bunch of stuff in our luggage to avoid buying a whole bottle of dishwashing liquid or laundry detergent. It ended up taking up unnecessary room and weight in our luggage. We had an emergency when the knob on the range, which was stripped, got stuck and we couldn't get the gas pilot light off. We called and the emergency person responded right away and turned off the power at the electric panel. We didn't have air conditioning because it was on the same circuit, nor could we use the range. Nobody came to fix it afterwards. The villa was nice, beautiful, and relaxing - a better value for a larger family or multiple couples. I expected more for the price.
