Dave did a great job communicating and attention to detail at the condo was outstanding. There were plenty of dishes, pots/pans, spices to cook with, etc. it is clear that he takes pride in his real estate.

We couldn’t be happier with the location of Villa Pappagallos! A mile of quiet beach in either direction … the peace and quiet makes you feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of Seven Mile beach, yet it’s really only a short drive to anything you need. Unit 43 is well kept and the owner was fantastic to work with (excellent communication before and during our stay). The condo was clean, the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to make a few meals during our stay, the beds were comfortable, and the view from the balcony was amazing for morning coffee! Thanks for the wonderful vacation! We hope to be back again!

There was a beautiful view of the sea from the living room and main bedroom. The beach was a 2 minute walk through beautifully landscaped grounds. We were away from the busyness and hubbub of Georgetown but other beaches, restaurants and shops were 10-15 minutes drive away. Nice restaurant (only open for dinner I believe) directly across the (quiet) street. George, who manages the property was friendly and helpful.

Well maintained and nicely decorated 2 bedroom/2 bathroom with lots of amenities. Very nice owner with thorough run down of island, directions and use of electronics in the unit. Would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed a wonderful week at 43 Villa Pappagallo in February. The condo is modern, clean and well equipped. It has a large open living area with digital cable TV, dining area, and a spacious kitchen with all the appliances/ necessities. The bedrooms were large with comfortable beds. There are also beautiful views of the community pool and the beach/ocean from both porches. We enjoyed the quiet environment away from the hustle and bustle of 7 mile beach and Georgetown, but were only a short drive from everything (remember to drive on the left side though!). We snorkeled at several of the recommended areas on the island, but we found the best snorkeling to be off the dock/beach in front of the condo. The property manager greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the condo. He was available if needed, but we had no issues during out stay and never needed to contact him. We have stayed in VRBOs on several Caribbean islands over the last 10 years and Villa Pappagallo is definitely one of, if not the, nicest place we have stayed. We will definitely be back!!! Rent this property, fill up the cooler, head to the beach, and forget your troubles.

My family and I spent a week in Villa Pappagallo #43 for Christmas. We had an excellent vacation! The owner is extremely helpful and always responds promptly! He provides all necessary information and MORE! And he is extremely willing to help you with any questions you may have about the area. The villa was nicely furnished and has breathtaking views!! The checkin and checkout process are super easy! The location of this place is amazingly secluded & private, yet super close to everything! Very quiet place. Felt as if we were on a private island. Not crowded at all! Thank you for a fantastic Christmas vacation! We will definitely return!

The caymans are a great place to do nothing. By that I mean lay on the beach, lay around the pool, read a book, go out to eat, see the stingrays etc. etc. etc. and papa Gallos seems to be the best spot there.

We had such a great trip to Grand Cayman! Dave was wonderful to work with and was quick to respond to our questions. Perfect location in a quiet area. Never had a problem getting chairs to relax in on the beach or by the pool. We could see the sunset from the dock or just a short walk down the beach- beautiful! A great restaurant across the street, we went there twice. Easy drive into town to rent snorkel gear and get groceries. We drove out to Rum Point twice- no problems. Loved the Bioluminescent kayak tour with Sweet Spot and the Stingray/cave tour with Captain Marvin. Smith Beach in George Town was great for jumping off the rocks. Snubaed down to the Wreck of the Cali- so easy even if you’re not a diver. Condo had everything and was just a short drive to Calypso Grill and Catch- both amazing seafood. Also had lunch twice at Macabara and had hoped to snorkel there but it was too rough when we went with our gear- next time! We will be back and would definitely stay at 43 Villas Pappagallo! First, outstanding host. Dave was all about getting us what we needed from the very start. The unit is well furnished from the towels, the kitchen, to the tech. The couch was too comfortable and I could barely peel my son off of it to go diving. The ocean and dock are just a 90 second walk away with the pool in between. Beds were comfy and the showers had great water pressure. Location wise we were 10 minutes away from our boat dives and shore dives with several excellent restaurants near by and a several grocery stores. This just became my go to place for the island.

Beautiful condo. Nicely maintained. Owner was extremely helpful and good at communication. It was a painless process and he was very quick to refund our security deposit. Only drawback was lack of bathroom on the main floor. It is a 2 bedroom condo on the 2nd and 3rd floor of a quiet complex. You will do lots of stairs. Nice pool to sunbath. Plenty of beach towels and a well appointed kitchen. I love to cook and had everything I needed except for a garlic press.

This condo was amazing. We had 5 adults (me, my husband, my parents, and my 18 year old son), and there was plenty of room for everyone. The condo is well-appointed - we cooked in dinner nearly every night and had all the dishes/cookware we needed - and very comfortable. You can open wide the balcony doors off of the living room to get the ocean breeze and watch the waves with one eye as you read . . . and also, in our case, listen to Christmas music on the Sonos. Dave is a terrific host, and very responsive; he even tried to help us out after Alamo at the airport gave away our rental car to someone else, and we were greatly appreciative. This is away from the loud, crowded and touristy Seven Mile Beach, but all of that is only about 10-15 minutes away if for some reason you need it (the grocery store is about a 7 minute drive). I would guess most of the folks out here were like us, and wanting a more laid back, relaxing, and intimate trip. We laid out on the balconies, or by the pool, and took walks on the beach. It was perfect, and we will definitely be back.

My husband and I stayed for a week with our 17 year old son over Spring break. The condo was just as lovely as it appears in the photos- spacious, clean, furnished to a very high standard and in a good location. The views from the balconies overlooking the pool and the sea were stunning. We enjoyed the pool and the quiet beach. It was too windy the week we were there to swim in the sea, apart from one day, but as we were a short drive to 7 mile beach and other beaches which were more conducive to swimming, it wasn’t an issue. The condo was an oasis to return to each day. It contained everything we needed, except for a cool box which would have been helpful. The owner was great to work with and contacted me before and after the vacation to ensure that everything was ok. This was our first trip to Cayman Island and we really loved it, though we found many of the restaurants to be pricey so it was good to be able to buy our own provisions and eat in the condo sometimes.

Condo is located on end of road so very little traffic. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Plenty of space for our Party of 5. Ocean was too rough for swimming during our stay. Used the pool which was nice. Loved the balconies but gnats were numerous and bit so couldn't use them as much as I would have liked.

We decided to stay in the West Bay Area because it is close to the kitesurfing school and lots of scuba diving! We were pleasantly surprised by the secluded area. This is certainly not tourist central 7 mile beach, so EXACTLY what we were looking for!! Villas pappagallo is a great place to relax. The condo has 4 balconies With plenty of chairs and lounges. There is a pool outside and Dave was pretty clear in letting us know all of the details such as the little whirl pool is not a hot tub which I greatly appreciate. Beach towels were also provided. The apartment came with everything you should need, even soap and toilet paper in the bathrooms! There was also a washer dryer which we found useful as well. You definitely need a car to get here, we found it easy to get to the apartment and driving on the left side of the road was not a problem as there are tons of signs!! the grocery store is only 10 minutes away and the kitchen has everything you need to cook. There was even a spice rack! Across the street is also a great restaurant! I would say there are no cons to this place except Sometimes in the morning there were roosters waking us up, but only in the smaller bedroom. The other couple did not seem to hear them so I could just be a light sleeper. I would 100% come back and stay here again !!

We enjoyed the West Bay area because it was like we had the beach to ourselves each day. We rented a car and were able to travel to other parts of the island and snorkel. We enjoyed Cemetery beach the most and it was only 8 mins from the condo. We recommend Moby Dick tours for the Stingray visit and Heritage Shack at Heritage square for an authentic Island meal. The owner Dave was extremely friendly and easy to work with and responsive to any questions or items that we needed during our stay. Which included getting blankets from another owner for one of my children. The Condo was very clean and felt like our home away from home. :) THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR HOME WITH US!!!!

Grand Cayman is a beautiful island. Condo was clean, spacious and very well equipped. It made you feel like you were in a home away from home. Owner Dave was very helpful and responsive to questions. My friend and I were greeted by George, the property manager, who was also friendly and helpful. Villas Pappagallo is a perfect place to relax. Condo has four balconies so you can sit outside in the sun or shade, as you prefer. Salt water pool was good temperature for swimming. Property is extremely well kept with mature shrubs and palm trees. A few chickens and roosters roam the property and add charm. Ample lounge chairs and regular chairs and tables by the pool and on the beach. We swam in the sea off the pier and several times went up the beach into the nature reserve where you can swim from the beach. Fosters, a chain grocery store, is about 10 minutes away by car and has a wide range of groceries. (You definitely need a car to get around.) There are many options for dining from casual to fine dining close by particularly if you like fish and seafood. There is one good restaurant across the street. Stairs could be an issue for anyone with mobility issues as you walk up a flight from the front door to the main living area and then another flight to the bedrooms and bathrooms. A two piece bathroom on the main level would have been nice. I would definitely rent this property again.

As previous reviewers have mentioned, this is away from the crowds and offers a nice view of the beach. It is adjacent to a trash strewn National Park that is appalling to walk along (both beach and road) but is pretty secluded. But, here are the reasons for rating it low. While the view is nice, the beach is unusable due to the waves and coral. You will have to drive to another beach. The pool is unusable because it is freezing, even though it has been in the 80's. It is not heated and the only ones that use it are brave kids. The pictures also show what looks to be a hot tub but it is a kiddie pool. They do have an area that has jets, but again, no heat. One of the worst parts of all is the God awful smell of the septic/sewer when you walk into the condo from the parking lot. You literally have to hold your breath and the balconies on that side cannot be used due to the smell. If I returned to the island, I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

If you are looking for a place to relax, rent this condo. Gorgeous views, no crowds and the condo has everything you need. Kitchen is well stocked and the decor is beautiful. The West End is a short drive to Seven Mile Beach. We would pack a lunch each day and visited Govenors and Cemetery beaches and then came back and had happy hour by the pool, which was never crowded. The Restaurant Pappagallos is a must and right across the road. Also, take a blanket after sunset and lay on that beach. The stars are amazing. Thanks Dave for a wonderful week!

Villas Pappagallo is located in a secluded section of the West Bay area, next to Barker National Park. It is an extremely tranquil location for those wishing to "get away from it all". Georgetown is about a 15-20 minute drive and Seven Mile beach is 10 minutes away. There is a supermarket 5-10 minutes away and a very nice restaurant (also named Pappagallo) a short walk away. The complex has a salt water pool and a nice beach with a pier. The underwater shore is a bit rough so it is not suitable for young children or older people but you can enter the water from the pier for some nice snorkeling or swimming. There is a coral reef within a reasonable distance for competent swimmers. We had our morning coffee and evening cocktails every day on the well maintained beach. This condo was very well equipped and tastefully decorated/furnished. We have rented houses, condos, cottages, etc. in a lot of places and usually there is some inconvenience that you have to work around--not so here. You have everything you need for a comfortable and stress-free stay. The residents and guests tend to be sedate but cordial. If you are looking for a place where you can close the bar and stagger up to your room, this is not it. If you like to sit by the pool or ocean, enjoy a nice view in a serene location and meet nice people, this is the place. The owner is responsive to your questions and seems quite reasonable and pleasant to talk to. He supplies a written guide to the property which covers the key issues such as passwords, phone, etc. Another small but convenient touch is that the condo has a keypad lock so people can come and go independently without having to worry about coordinating keys. As with the other two bedroom condos at this complex, the rooms--especially the bedrooms and bathrooms--are good sized so you don't feel crowded. We had balconies off the living room and master bedroom facing the ocean and secondary balconies with lesser views.

Meticulously clean condo with luxurious bathrooms. Photos in VRBO are spot on! The entire condo is well decorated and perfect for two couples or a family. To have coffee on the balcony every morning, staring out to sea, was a perfect way to start the day! Relaxing vibe, peaceful and serene vacation. Spent most days at the pool, usually by ourselves, but the few people we saw were friendly and eager to exchange restaurant and activity suggestions. The owner, Dave, was easy to reach, knowledgable and very helpful. We did visit 7 Mile Beach and enjoyed Ragazzi's Restaurant. We quickly returned to our beautiful private oasis in the West End to decompress from the chaos of 7 Mile Beach. Also ate nearby at the Cracked Conch and Papagallos (across the street from the condo) both were excellent. We vacation to relax and reconnect with our family, this was the perfect spot to do just that. It was a quick drive if we wanted to go out somewhere, but we truly had everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves right there. Would highly recommend this condo! Cocktails on the balcony anyone?

This was our 5th visit to Grand Cayman -but the first time staying at a Condo. The VRBO descriptions and pictures posted are accurate and Dave was very helpful. The Condo property was peaceful and grounds were maintained beautifully. We had the pool practically to ourselves on most days (LOVED that!), grilled out every lunch and hit our favorite restaurants at night. The convenience of having a washer/dryer handy was awesome. About midway through the week, we stopped by the Westin to arrange for a StingRay City boat trip and it felt like New York City compared to Villas Pappagallo's serenity. We will never stay on 7 mile Beach again.
