Nice small home, lots of supplies and fully stocked kitchen. Convenient to town, 5 mins to anywhere. To be honest, we were not brave enough to use the loft since we both get up several times in the night, and the outside/extra room would also not have worked for the same reason-no bathroom-so whoever stayed out there would have to come through the master bedroom or go through the process of unlocking the front door just to get to the bathroom. But we were ok all together on the queen bed. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Great place. Great communication as I can be annoying with lots of questions but they were very accommodating. Only concern was I didn’t consider the stairs was difficult even though it was just one small set. Would love to return but may need a ramp or assistance lifting multiple bags but we had a lovely stay. It was a great location -a lil walk to town and cute place. We enjoyed the yard the most with sledding n space to run around, even the Easter bunny stopped by for a bit with just toys no snacks. Even though there was snow it was still warm enough to hang out outside.

Me and my wife and three dogs really enjoyed this property. The interior design was very unique and comfortable. Dogs loved the big yard. As we are not spring chickens, the ladder to the loft was a little challenging but we made it work. All in all, we would stay here again if we were to come to Idyllwild on another getaway.

This wonderful home came with everything we needed. The huge backyard was perfect for our dogs. Very easy to get into town, and the views were beautiful.

I could not have asked for a better place to stay with my dog. Easy check in process. Beautiful property. Quiet. I was able to not only have my dog off leash on the front porch and back yard, but was also able to walk around the neighborhood with him. Easy to get into Idyllwild as well. Easy to communicate with the hosts! Everything was well maintained.

This is our 3rd time staying at Little House… We love it there. The location is perfect for taking our dog Rudi for walks in the neighborhood. The house is cozy and comfortable with a wonderful back yard. Close to town center if you want to go out to eat or check out the cute shops… Melissa & Emma are wonderful and accommodating- it’s 4 paw approved by Rudi and 5 star approved by his people! Come stay at Little House!!

Had a beautiful getaway here with my mom and her dog. Place is small and cozy and was perfect for what we needed. Backyard is large and front porch is great too. Well thought out for dogs and thoughtful kitchenware etc.

Rented another place from Melissa previously, a definite plus, the location is excellent especially if you want a very quiet, peaceful and relaxing visit to Idyllwild. You don't have to worry about traffic walking your dog anytime of the day in that part of town. Our 20 month old puppy just loved zooming around in the backyard and we could put her out there without a worry. The WiFi worked just fine.

It was very comfortable and the dog loved it! So did the humans, of course.

The cabin was perfect for a quick getaway with the dogs. Loved the gated deck with bbq and fire pit. Pups had a blast exploring the huge yard. Nice quiet location.

We we booked this home for a last minute anniversary getaway with our little dog. It was perfect! It is a lovely property, feels very removed and private but is so close to town. The home is beautiful and comfortable. We spent a lot to time out on the deck and in the very spacious back yard. Our little dog had the best time running around in the fully fenced yard. Overall just a wonderful peaceful place.

We had an unforgettable getaway in Idyllwild! This cabin was a hidden gem, perfect for our family of two adults and our furry companions. Melissa and Emma ensured the cozy cabin had everything we needed, and the amazing backyard was perfect for relaxing and letting our dogs play. The idyllic mountains and charming town of Idyllwild felt like a dream. The dog-friendly amenities made our stay even more enjoyable. We will cherish these memories forever and look forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful time and this property. It’s a beautiful cabin, tucked in the woods with a huge fenced in yard. A quick 3 min drive to town and 15 min to Lake Hemet. The owners communicated quickly and made the process very easy. Very accommodating and had everything needed in the cabin. We will definitely be back! Thank you

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house and great big yard for our doggies! It was perfect for my wife and I and our 2 dogs. And the host are wonderful! I've stayed at a bunch of places in Idyllwild and this house was the best!

Melissa's sweet cabin was perfect for us. Our dog was in heaven and we were so relaxed. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful.

The kids and our dog LOVED this yard. In fact, while we were there they never bothered coming inside. Me and husband enjoyed the patio and the BEAUTIFUL spring weather and the sounds of our kids happily playing and laughing and it was everything we needed.

Enjoyed a couple days in Idyllwild to unwind and relax with my wife and our dog. The huge yard was amazing, and our dog, Bailey, had a blast. Very convenient location, just minutes from the quaint shopping center and food options. Melissa was a great, communicative host. Thanks for the stay!

We looked at all the pictures and watched the video in the listing. While these were helpful, the backyard was ever better than we expected. The fresh snow, coupled with the incline of the backyard, provided great sledding for the family. Our dog loved chasing us down the hill as well. Great backyard for a dog too. Plenty of room for it to run around. We would definitely come back.

If you are looking for some great outdoor living, this is it. Melissa and Emma's place boasts a HUGE fenced in yard (perfect for dogs) and a very nicely sized deck with a fire pit. The cabin itself had everything that we needed for cooking basics and the bed was extremely comfortable. This was my husband's favorite place to stay thus far during the times that we have been to Idyllwild.

Had a great time enjoying the crisp mountain air and a nice fire in the evenings. Dogs loved the spacious back yard and definitely took advantage of it by running laps and chasing squirrels. Highly recommended for a cozy mountain getaway.

❤️ Vivi's Vacation Spot ❤️ . While it was a great vacation for the parents, it was a fantastic vacation for our dog, Vivi. 👏 👏 👏 . For anyone living in Southern California or traveling here, where your priority is a lovely and relaxing home that is also SUPER safe for your pet, I would very much recommend the Little House. There are SO many squirrels to sniff out in the back yard; thankfully, Vivi only likes to chase critters (phew) and not capture them. . The Little House is beautiful. You have the comfort of home, with the house fully stocked with anything you would have in your own fully functional home; you just stock the refrigerator and freezer with anything you want to have. I only wish I'd taken my chocolate chip cookie and baking preferences of ingredients, so I could bake. But, there are flour and baking ingredients there already. I brewed fresh cinnamon tea just to feel that extra comfort of home. . We brought way too many things for us and Vivi, but the Little House had more than we needed. . If you prefer to socialize, even though you are in a quiet national forest, the village of Idyllwild is approximately 2 miles away. It's a small, but busy tourist village with many restaurants (even high end) and so many shops. The small village grocery store is well stocked and even has a fresh meat department to pick up items to BBQ. . Thank you to Melissa for all the little details that made the stay that much extra special

This was our second visit and was perfect like our first visit. Our furbaby loved the beyond pet friendly huge yard. We also had the best ice cream in town. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway. Melissa and Emma are great to work with and take care of your every need. We will be back.

So cute and nicely decorated. A perfect place for a week or weekend getaway with your spouse and 4-legged friend. Very large fenced property, spacious decks both front & back and very comfortable bed. The home had everything you need and Melissa obviously loves dogs! We will come back again!
