This house has everything we needed for our family vacation. We towed our boat and there was a launch just a few minutes from the house then we kept it at the house until ck out time. The pool was great. We lucked up and had great neighbors is the other side of this duplex and we all shared the amenities wonderfully together. There are several restaurants around, however we are most meals at the house. The walk path to the beach was very close to the house and was never busy even on a holiday weekend. Now traffic towards Florabama on the Memorial Day weekend was crazy. 30 minutes to go 2.8 mile from the house. We just decided to stay at beach and/or take our boat vs drive anywhere.

Had and absolute blast. The property was beautiful and had everything we needed. Will definitely have to book again.

What a lovely stay! Our friends booked the other side of the house. All of our kids enjoyed the freedom to go from house to house via the upstairs deck, and we didnt have to worry about them since there is no other access to it. We loved that the beach was a short walk away so we could come and go as we pleased. The house had everything we needed to make meals.

This was our second time in perdido key but our first time in this home, wow it is beautiful! You can see the ocean through nearly every window on the 2nd floor, the unit was very well maintained and clean. The private pool is awesome for kids and the walk to the beach is a easy and short. The owner was very polite and responded quickly to any questions asked. We will definitely be staying here again!

The family had a great summer vacation at the beach. Other than being a bit dated, the house was great. Very spacious & the location can’t be beat. It’s steps away to an almost private beach, close to restaurants on either side, and it has a pool. Had no issues with booking, check-in, or check-out. It was a perfect vacation at our own “private” beach!

The house, location, was perfect for our family. Property owner very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Would recommend it it.

Great family getaway !!

Beautiful home within walking distance of a nearly private beach. Ellen was a joy to rent from.

The home is beautiful and spacious, the 5 minute walk to the beach was so awesome, the private pool was perfect for swimming after the beach closed. There were a lot of fish to catch. You can see them when you swim. We even caught stingrays and 2 baby sharks while fishing from the shore! Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this duplex!

Lovely stay, enjoyed having the beach, shopping and recreation so nearby. Would definitely recommend this house to others and would stay again. Only regret is that the pool is not heated.

This was my kids' first beach trip and they loved every second. Only a block away from beach access. Beautiful home and location. Owner of the property responded quickly. We will definitely be returning here in the future!

Easy rental and was exactly as described.

My family had a wonderful stay at this property! Could not have chosen a better home or location. Just a couple minutes walk from the house to a very nice uncrowned beach. Close to attractions and restaurants. Home was exactly as described and everything was in working order. Kids enjoyed fishing off the dock and caught many small fish and released them back. Pool was also a big hit for everyone. When we left, a bag of shoes was left behind. Ellen went above and beyond getting them returned to us which was greatly appreciated. Definitely rate this property 5/5 and would stay again.

Was refreshing to find a rental that was pet friendly but yet much nicer than a hotel.

We stayed for a few nights just to experience Perdido again. What a beautiful house! Close to everything, well maintained and plenty of space to enjoy ourselves either indoors or by the pool. Ellen was easy to book with and prompt with replies. Can highly recommend this one!

Very pleased with the property. We were planning to bring our boat, but weather didn't cooperate, but we will definately plan a trip for the summer. Clear view to beach across the road, canal, in back, nice pool. The set up for bedroom was perfect for our needs. Lots of restaurants within a short drive. Would definately recommend.

This house is in a perfect location. It is very close to the beach, and having a boat slip just made it so convenient. The ice machine in the kitchen was great to have! The bedroom with the bunk beds is pretty small so just be prepared for that. You share the pool with the owners next door, which was absolutely fine, only they had two dogs hanging around the pool at times and that was an issue for my mom and it was a bit less than relaxing, so we worked our pool time around theirs. We enjoyed our stay, however the house wasn’t cleaned properly before our arrival. There were very obvious signs that it was not cleaned and unfortunately that is a HUGE priority with me and my family, so I was disappointed. We still had a great time and again, the location can’t be beat!

Pet friendly, swimming, fishing & easy access to the beach! Not one complaint the whole trip, even from the kids!

My wife and I were looking to getaway for a weekend trip and stumbled on this property. We had an awesome time and the location was great. Ellen always responded promptly. If your looking for a getaway in location that is a short walk and I mean short to the beach...this is it.

My wife and I (plus our dog) enjoyed our ten day stay. We had lousy weather but that did not matter. We obeyed the rules about dogs on the beach, I found the athletic fields behind the Winn - Dixie a great place for our dog to run - less than ten minutes away. We thought all was fabulous! Will be back :)

This was a lovely property and the perfect fit for my family (6 adults, 2 dogs). The pictures on the listing don’t capture what a beautiful and comfortable gathering space the living/dining/kitchen area is. It opens through French doors onto the Gulf-side front balcony which has a nice privacy screen of palm trees. It also accesses the sound-side back balcony overlooking the pool. Our dogs loved the balconies and spent a lot of their time on them, as well as in the fenced-in pool area. The pool is large and clean, and although it’s shared with the other unit of the duplex, we had it all to ourselves for our weeklong stay. The pool area has plenty of shaded seating and an outdoor shower with hot water. The master suite was luxurious by my standards, but I found the other two bedrooms and the jack-and-jill bathroom they share to be on the small side. My parents and parents-in-law stayed in those rooms and had no complaints. For the price point of this listing, those rooms are a great value, but not everyone will appreciate that. The real value of the property is in the location. It’s segregated from the huge condos to the east and west by a state park, which makes it a two-minute walk from a secluded beach. That was the criterion on which I chose the property and I wasn’t disappointed. We saw at most 3 other families on the beach, and always well spread out. The beach had the trademark green water and white sand of the Panhandle. The surf was rough during our stay, but the water was still clearer than most beaches I’ve visited. One caveat I’d give is that the road you have to cross to get to the beach is busy, and there’s no crosswalk at the closest beach access. This didn’t bother us but might be an annoyance for families with small children. The other caveat is that there’s a sign prohibiting dogs on the beach. I recommend ignoring it like we did, as there’s no legitimate reason to prohibit leashed dogs on a beach if their owners clean up after them. The surrounding area has plenty of attractions, restaurants, and stores, but there was very little traffic or crowding in October. Overall, I’d highly recommend this property.
