This was a lovely spot for our family to stay at for a quick weekend away. The updated kitchen is beautiful and functional, wifi is fast, and the location is wonderful. We'll be back!

Quiet neighborhood, easy access to beach, cozy, comfortable accommodations

I brought three generations to stay with me here: my sister, daughter and mother and my sister's husband. We also brought my sister's dog. The place is very accepting of doggy friends who travel with their families - very dog friendly. Its a cozy place and was perfect for my elderly mother who could use the downstairs twin bedroom and walk right across the hall to the bathroom. It's a ten minute walk to the local private beach as well as access trails that go all the way to -and along- Scorton Creek. It has a clean basement with laundry facilities, two cute bikes that need a bit of maintenance but get you around, a great enclosed porch to play games and visit in. Down the street along 6A is a Dunkin' Donuts, the 6a Cafe breakfast spot, and a bakery right off 6a in historical downtown Sandwich that are from 5-10 minutes car ride. We enjoyed the beach a lot and the water was crystal clear, although, the beach is a bit rocky. Watershoes recommended. Overall we loved it here! It's close to Sandy Neck where we meet up with many cousins each year, and it has the laid back north side vibes yet is not too far away from the hubbub of Hyannis.

We have been annual summer visitors for several years now and it always feels like our home away from home. The close walk to the private beach and screened porch are favorites here. The house is kept updated with every modern convenience and clean! Our host Carol is fantastic about responding to questions quickly and we look forward to spending time here every year . We call it our “Happy Place “.

Great location. It's an easy stroll to the private beach. You can wander down a few times a day and not have to set up a base camp for the duration. Enjoyed biking both sides of the CC Canal Path. Owner was nice and left to beach bikes out for our use plus quite a few beach chairs.

We had a great weekend here. Location-wise it's great, with a short walk-drive to the private (very pebbled) beach and East Sandwich was a shorter ride than rest of Cape Cod which we were looking for. It was also relatively close to the Heritage Gardens and the Children's museum for a rainy day. Both our young boys loved the beds and some toys they found, as well as being able to run outside. I appreciated the very complete guide to the house and area that was left, and how well-thought through every piece of furniture, book and kitchen utensil is. Wish I had had time to read some of the books!

My husband and I were looking for a pet friendly house on the Cape to runaway for a few days. When I saw this listing it sounded perfect, a private beach 5 minutes on foot. What I expected was a small cove with a small beach area. What we got was the entire ocean. It was beautiful! The neighborhood is quiet and everyone is friendly the setting is somewhat country with wild turkeys, deer , rabbits and squirrels scurrying around. A short walk from the house and you have the Atlantic Ocean at your feet. Our dog had the best time chasing balls on the beach ( off season privilege) . There’s a reason this listing is rated among the best….because it simply is the best. You won’t regret booking.

This property was clean, easy to find, secluded, and proximate to both beach and town. It was the perfect way to spend a fall weekend. You could snuggle up and read a book, walk on the beach or putz around town. While it is in a neighborhood, the tree cover gives it the feeling of a private retreat. The house had everything you need and more. Could not recommend enough! Carol was easy to work with and so accommodating!

This was a perfect place for us. We used it as a base to visit all the areas we have heard about for years. The restaurants nearby were wonderful. Our favorites became Chew Cafe / Fisherman’s view/ Riverside Coffee shop / Amari just to name a few. Don’t miss the Sandwich Glass Museum. / bike riding at the salt flats. But most importantly is private access to a long stretch of nearly empty beach ( we were here at the end of September ) and lazy afternoons sitting in the ADK chairs watching the turkeys foraging. Highly recommend this cottage for location and comfort.

We had a wonderful visit in East Sandwich! For starters, the house was very pleasant with an updated kitchen and appliances. There were two large bedrooms and plenty of space to relax, dine in or out, or put a puzzle together. In addition, to the two bathrooms one on each floor there is an outdoor shower which was perfect to wash the sand off. Speaking of sand the beach is a few pebble throws down the street a nice walk through a pleasant neighborhood. We went mid September and had this beautiful private beach to ourselves and our dog. The owner provided excellent recommendations on restaurants And places to visit which we took full advantage of and found the house is just a short drive from great restaurants, mini golf, and quint towns. We made many fond memories here, took some awesome pictures and would highly recommend. We look forward to returning!

We had no idea how close the beach was to our house!!! Kitchen had every tool and appliance you needed.. Lots of info for what todo in the area

If you want to feel like your staying at a realities or a friends house, this is the place. Great layout of home and very nice decor. Highly recommend it. Had everything one would need.

Picture on website deceptive. Furniture was worn an stained. Bedding and pillows stained. Ant problem in kitchen. Could not use kitchen. A number of windows did not work and screens in some windows torn. Ant traps on kitchen counters. Ant spray in closets. Spoke to owner. She did give partial reimbursement.

Such a relaxing property and neighborhood. Well stocked kitchen, easy access to beach and Upper Cape area.

It was an enjoyable experience. The A/c wasn’t working to par, but all in all it was great. I would also upgrade the screens and the windows.

We loved our stay on the cape in this home. I’ve been coming to the cape and staying in this neighborhood since I was a little girl and have always seen this house from the outside. I was so happy to be able to find a cute AND dog friendly home in this private community. Carol was fantastic and quick to respond when I had a question. We enjoyed the quick walk to the beach, trips to Beths Cafe for fresh baked goodies and walks on the canal. I’m already looking forward to booking this house again!

Loved this house, the neighborhood, and being able to walk to the beach! The kitchen had all the essentials and then some. The screened -in porch was especially lovely on the cool nights. I'd definitely stay here again!

Wow...Cape Cod Style house...Quiet neighborhood - Huge lot. Only a short walk to the beach! Surrounded by other gorgeous Cape Cod homes. Really gives you a taste of what the locals who are lucky enough to live here experience. Kitchen - The focal point and it did not disappoint! Clean modern and spacious and not missing anything! Lots of space to spread out including upstairs loft and screened in porch as well as outdoor spaces to enjoy the huge yard! Large bedrooms and 2 full baths with great showers! Clean, lots of windows and natural light all throughout the home. Large Propane BBQ. Great place to grill your favorite meal. We really enjoyed our stay and hope we get a chance to stay here again some day. Thank you!

Not a lot to add to other reviews other than our hearty endorsement. Lovely house with all modern kitchen and conveniences, beautiful private beach within 5 minute walk, short drives to restaurants, easy drive from Boston. Our dog loved it as well 😀

This is probably the third year staying here for Christmas. My folks live a few streets away. We love this cozy home! The newer kitchen and 1st floor bathroom updates are beautiful. The location to the beach, no matter what time of year is fantastic. We will surely be back.

This was a perfect spot for our weekend - we were near family and centrally located. It was well stocked and everything that would have any questions was easily marked. We were able to visit and yet have our own space. Will definitely keep this in mind for future visits. I also liked that the fees were not crazy - some properties now have such exorbitant fees it makes it too costly. Communication was great and we received answers to all our questions prior to arrival

We spent a couple of days here. It was very enjoyable: clean, comfortable and just a 10 minute walk to a private community beach. The host, Carol, was great. We would recommend staying here to any of our friends and family. Looking forward to returning soon

This was a beautiful newly furnished/renovated home. It was walking distant to the ocean. The owners were wonderful and easy to work with. If you have a small family this is a great little getaway!

We stayed for a long weekend in October for our first trip to the Cape. We were pleasantly surprised with the weather (70s) and we were able to enjoy the very private beach with our young children and dogs. It's very easy to get to and the house has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay! The neighborhood is very quiet and the yard is great for kids and dogs. Planning another stay for sure!

We could not be more pleased with our Cape Cod vacation! The house was exactly as described and accommodated our family of six very comfortably. We found we had everything we needed in the house for cooking, relaxing and having a good time. We especially loved the close proximity to the beach (just a quick walk) and loved the chance to have a nighttime fire on the beach as well. The town of Sandwich has a lot to offer and other adventures were easy to get to as well. We would highly recommend this property to be your Cape Cod home away from home!

Well maintained home in a great neighborhood. Walk to the private beach is quick and easy. By the time we finished breakfast the 2nd day we almost felt as if we lived there. The house is stocked with everything you will need for a easy transition from your house to theirs.

We came here for a quick getaway for the Christmas holiday.
