The house was a little difficult to find- not being readily visible from the entrance above (where an address could be posted). The house was wonderful with the only exception of not having a dishwasher. The views were breath-taking. Thanks.

House is a quintessential older lake house with a great layout for friends and family. The setting, view, waterfront area is unbelievable! Our kids and a couple of the adults loved jumping off the boat house and swimming at the house. We rented a pontoon that got delivered and picked up from the house. Good stuff!

Our top loves of this house in order: 1. The view is absolutely spectacular. I could sit all day in the Adirondacks and look at the lake and mountains beyond. Watching the water sports out in the biggest part of the lake was also a lot of fun. 2. The toys were a big hit with our whole family. We played hours of ping pong, went on several kayaking trips using all three kayaks available for guests (one is great for a parent and 2 kids even), and the docks and thick’s foam floats were perfect for casual hanging out time in the water. 3. Good amount of space- It was nice to have 3 full bathrooms, 2 living/ lounge areas, and best of all 2 porches (one screened and one not). We definitely want to come back!

Perfect for family. Very well stocked with appliances, utensils and spices. Lots of water toys and close enough to attractions for day trips. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

This was our 2nd time vacationing at this wonderful place. The house has ample space for family or friends and the views are spectacular of Lake Lure from there. The owner provided many amenities to make our stay enjoyable which included kayaks and a canoe we explored the lake with. The towns of Lake Lure and Chimney Rock are nearby as are many restaurants and a large Ingles grocery store is a few miles away. We enjoyed exploring trails and Hickory Nut Falls at Chimney Rock and Pearson Falls near Saluda. We took a drive to see the impressive Biltmore House and gardens in Asheville while there also. We love the Poole home as it is located in a nice peaceful area where you can relax and enjoy family and friends and it is also close to many beautiful places to go explore. A. Gibbs

It was a family trip, all adults, so the access to the lake and kayaks was wonderful. It’s very mid century decor but warm and inviting and very clean. The homeowners were extremely responsive and accommodating. Will miss the amazing views, coffee in the morning and wine time in the afternoon. Truly enjoyed every minute.

From the well-loved family house, to the unparalleled views, to the nonstop and super fun lake activities, we had the time of our lives. We all were in heaven while hanging out by--and in -- the beautiful lake. The kayaks and floaties provided endless entertainment, and the thrill of jumping off the boathouse roof never got old for the kids! The sunsets were magical -- gorgeous beyond description. The chairs by the water's edge provided such a nice hanging out spot for family, and the end of the docks were perfect for daydreaming, or dangling legs, or crazy cannonballs, or just scanning for fish. Fantastic place to kick back and enjoy the beautiful lake. Sunsets were phenomenal! Kitchen is well stocked , beds are comfortable, restaurants 20 minutes away. Recommend victory kitchen and Esmeralda or stop in Ingles grocery to grill some salmon in your home away from home. We would love to return. Thank you for sharing your family home.

This home has an amazing view of sunsets over Lake Lure and hills. It was wonderful having use of a canoe. The owner was very helpful. We loved it!
