This stay exceeded our expectations by far! If you are choosing between different properties I urge you to stay here as everything is perfect, from the morning sunrises, the hot tub after a long day of adventure (as close as can be), the happy hour bar (once again, as close as can be). The location is just perfect. If we visit this island again we would definitely stay here again and just relax as we already explored the island and did all the "touristy" things during this stay. This place has it all. I had no idea this was part of a larger compound but I think that made it even more convenient, parking was plentiful (as long as you are comfortable with a tight squeeze), there is a nice restaurant oceanside bar/restaurant next door, if you want to get a lunch for your hikes or don't feel like driving to get dinner, the grocery store a few minutes walk away has everything and souvenirs if you need. You get to talk to amazing people with different stories and backgrounds in the hot tub as well. During our stay we saw some of the same people in the tub and were able to bond and share stories and give tips and helpful advice. TLDR, this place has everything if you just want to relax by the beach and do nothing, or if you were like us and took morning sunrise photos by the beach (Such a beautiful backdrop), explored the island during the day, and came back to the hot tub and bar for happy hour and relaxed while star gazing(4 shooting stars in one night). We came from Maui to Kauai and the 2 properties could not have been more different. This one in Kauai was so much cleaner and updated, and the perfect size for the 2 of us! And also in the perfect location! Great pool and hot tub, it was paradise within a paradise!

From our first inquiry to check out everything was communicated and fine smoothly. The online reference to any questions about the unit were easily easily available. The location was fantastic with beautiful sunrise, by the bike/walking trail.
We have stayed on Kauai many times and this location on Kapaa was a great location, unit and wonderful time. Highly recommend this location and bosts

This particular condo within The Islander is the best we have ever stayed in. In fact, it was better than most 1 bedroom units we have rented elsewhere!! This unit was stocked with everything you could possibly want. The provided beach chairs were a dream for me as I have a bad back and it is difficult to sit on the sand! I would highly recommend this unit to anyone considering staying in the Kapaa area!! It is also within walking distance of shopping for supplies and fun things!

Our stay at this Wailua condo was wonderful. The grounds of the complex were impeccably kept and there is a beautiful pool and outdoor bar for adult entertainment. We loved looking out at the ocean every morning and being so close to great restaurants and shopping as well as steps away from the ocean! Would definitely stay here again!

Can't give enough stars to explain how perfect this unit is. Clean, spacious, tastefully decorated, as well as a fully equipped kitchenette. Close to the pool and unbelievable views of the sunrise from the deck

The pictures are very accurate & the view spectacular. It had everything that we needed for a couple extra days before flying back to the mainland.
The 1/2 kitchen, full bath & king size bed were perfect. Also the decor was very nice. The tiki bar was nice, pool fun & Coconut Marketplace was convenient.
The location was right where we needed to be. The distance to the airport is very good and filling up with gas (even early in the am) was convenient in Wailua.
We will definitely recommend this place to our friends & plan to stay when we visit again!

Oh my!! Where do I even begin!! It’s THE most beautiful and convenient condo for your stay on Kauai’s east side!!! The room was perfect! It had everything we needed and more!! The pictures don’t lie! The view from the lanai is beautiful! The soothing sounds of the ocean 🌊 was heavenly! The convenience of shopping, eating and the beach is all right there!! The condo grounds are lush and immaculate! The details from host were spot on. Overall experience 11/10

The place is wonderful for 2 people. The view is spectacular. The sounds of the waves are so soothing. Really missed having a full sized refrigerator but it is only a studio. Owners have very good communication. The place is very well appointed and close to east side adventures. Mahalo for sharing your place with us.

The location is so beautiful, right on the water. We fell asleep listening to the ocean. The resort is lovely and the beautiful kept. We loved having restaurants and shops within walking distance to the apartment. I hated to leave and hope to return again!

We loved our stay! One of the best stays we had in Hawaii. Beautiful ocean views from balcony! Place was equipped with everything anyone ever needed. Check-in process was smooth, everything related to stay was communicated well ahead of time. 15min drive from Lihue airport, it was very convenient for us to travel around the island.

The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. The view is the best and falling asleep to the sound of the waves was wonderful! The resort itself could use a little maintenance (the pool tiles really need a good scrubbing) but that does not reflect on the condition of the unit itself. We would not hesitate to stay again and really enjoyed our time there! Very centrally located and loved that there are many restaurants within walking distance.

Amazing Property
This was a great home in Kauai! It is so close to the coconut grove marketplace which is just 2 minutes walking where you can get anything you need (food, groceries, entertainment) and there is a little coffee shop right near the parking lot. Beach access and pool access was incredibly convenient. Loved my stay here!

Lovely condo
The condo was oceanfront and provided an amazing view of the sunrise from the lanai. The owners stocked the condo with many little extras to make you stay comfortable and pleasant. I would definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous view
Nice studio unit with an awesome view. Beautiful sunrises and stars galore. Plenty of walkable restaurants nearby. And stars galore. The bar at the pool was an unexpected pleasant surprise. The owners were exceptional. The most attentive I have ever enjoyed.

Perfect spot to HQ a low-key tropical getaway!
The second we opened the door to the unit, we were blown away by the stunning view of the ocean from our lanai, and that's where we ended up spending a substantial part of our stay in Kauai! The lanai is a big selling point for this unit and rightfully so, as it was amazing.
The whole unit is super cute and comfortable - not just the lanai - and Heather and Khaled do a wonderful job of outfitting their guests with all sorts of things they might need to enjoy Kauai, including hiking poles, snorkeling gear and beach chairs. In addition, they provided us with an online visitors guide that became our bible during this trip, as there are SO many choices that it can be overwhelming. Having expertise from locals made it a lot easier to figure out how to spend our time, so we really appreciated that. The hosts really put a lot of time and effort into thinking through the details, and it shows.
And finally, the grounds of the resort are beautifully tended, and the central location is great for anyone who wants to see the whole island during their stay. The Coconut Marketplace is super convenient, which helps add to the atmosphere of complete relaxation because if we didn't want to take the time to find a place to eat, we could just walk over and grab some tacos from Chicken in a Barrell or a sandwich from Island Country Market.
A+++ would recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing, beautiful place to stay in Kauai!

Excellent location, and you can’t beat the views!
You walk in and all you see is ocean. Amazing welcome to Kauai! Heather and Khaled were the best hosts. Very responsive and thorough with details. It’s a special place. Do yourself a favor and spend some time here. You can walk all the way into old town Kapa’a on the ocean path. Some construction is happening that caused us to switch our route a bit. The pool is great. Lava Lava restaurant on the beach is literally a stones throw away. Rising early to catch spectacular sunrises is off the chart! We hope to return!

Beautiful Ocean View
This 3rd floor condo is located at oceanfront with a lovely view and relaxing sound of waves. It is close to the pool/jacuzzi as well as the beach. The kitchenette includes service for four with coffeemaker and microwave and we enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony. Very easy check/in and checkout process. There is no elevator so be prepared to navigate two flights of stairs with your luggage!

Week in Paradise
Heather and Kahlid were fantastic hosts. Excellent communication and responsivness. Place was exactly as described. Daily sunrises are unbeatable. Great location on island. Due to covid some onsite amenties were closed and property was very empty which made for a very relaxing time. Pool and spa cleaned and emptied daily. Not great swimming beach in front of condo but only a short walk away.

Recommend replacing the mattress & adding a seal to the front door to keep the large bugs from coming in & taking up residence!

We have stayed at Islander on the Beach before, and this unit is THE BEST. The space is extremely clean, the view is amazing, and we couldn't believe how well-equipped it is. The bed and pull-out-sofa-bed are comfy. Lightning-speed wi-fi, appliances and tools for the little kitchen area, plenty of beach towels and fun-on-the-beach supplies - they have thought of everything! (Take the binoculars onto the lanai and look for whales . . .)
The owners are very communicative and helpful.
We will return!

Awesome place to stay
This is our second time staying at this resort and we have nothing bad to say. We have been to Maui and we would come back to Kauai before going there again. Having the Coconut Market with in walking distance is just a added plus. I would recommend this place to all our friends.

Good location, great suite & amenities, organized & helpful hosts
Islander on the Beach is a nice development of several buildings, with an outdoor pool and hot tub, right on the water in Kapa'a, and next to an outdoor shopping center. Kapa'a is a good location for exploring Kaua'i because it's kind of equidistant from the two furthest points on the island.
Heather & Khaled are the most organized hosts ever! They send detailed emails, have some how-to YouTube videos for their unit, and even have a website with info about their unit and Kaua'i. Especially great is that they have beach gear for you to borrow: snorkels & flippers, beach mats, cooler, beach umbrella, & beach chairs. They also have some great books, including guidebooks, about Kaua'i. You could literally just show up and start exploring Kaua'i.
