This location was great. The family was able to be as connected or disconnected as we wanted to be. The sunsets were amazing and there was always a view to be had. Fishing, sailing, site seeing, kayaking or just lounging on the beach is always just round the corner. The host’s were helpful with situational needs and we appreciated their support. We will be back.

We had a great family stay - parents plus 5 kids. The home fit us really well, and we had quick access to everything we needed.

Property right on the sound!

Liz was wonderful, we arrived to a very clean house. You can tell this house is well loved. Comfortable beds, everything you need in the kitchen. Amazing sunsets! We will be back for sure.

Superb view of the sound, very clean and cozy interior, a great spot for family vacation

This house was perfect for us five adults. The pier going down to the sound was great at launching our kayaks and we enjoyed floating out in the sound right near the pier. The owners keep the house well stocked , we had everything to cook a meal and we did use the charcoal grill a few nights. Both decks were great to sit out on and have dinner or breakfast. The deck underneath is great when the sun is too hot on the top deck . Overall we had a great stay and would stay here again!

This property is everything! The house was immaculate and ready for us right on time. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the weather, the decks and the dock! We made the best memories and will be back next year!

The reservation and check-in process was great. The property was beautiful! We enjoyed the deck off the living room. The only suggestion I have would be to upgrade the living room furniture. We spent more time inside than we had planned to due to weather and the big couch in particular was very soft and a little hard to get out of. A recliner or other comfy chair would have been nice.

Perfect place for relaxing and enjoying time with family. Area was quiet and people around were so friendly. Kona Breeze was exceptional. So clean and had everything we needed just like in our homes. The view was amazing!!! Definitely a must stay.

We enjoyed the house and the location. Beautiful sunsets and great access to the water for paddle boarding, windsurfing and kayaking. Comfortable beds.

This was our second stay at Kona Breeze and we enjoyed it just as much as the first. The property is so clean and has a full kitchen (and outdoor grill!) so it’s easy to settle right in and enjoy meals overlooking the water. The private dock is great for morning coffee or watching the beautiful sunsets. If you like to do any water sports, the access can’t be beat. Since our last stay, Liz and family have added a bar below the deck. Great family-friendly place and central location to anything in Avon or Buxton.

Wonderful spot for a family getaway. The neighborhood is very quiet, plenty of food options within minutes of the house. The house was very neat and organized with labels so you know where everything is and what to do. The dock was fun for fishing and the porches are perfect for watching sunsets. Overall we had a wonderful time and would stay again in the future.

We had an excellent rental experience with Liz the owner. She was responsive and accommodating and always available with a quick text. Everything was perfectly organized and professionally done. Kona Breeze is a wonderful home - clean and comfortable. And you can’t beat the view and the outdoor spaces also. Fishing, kayaking, fire pit evenings - we had a great vacation. Thanks again Liz - we will be back !

Our visit to Kona Breeze OBX was our first time in the Outer Banks. The property immediately felt like home, and Liz was great. Should we ever return to the Outer Banks, we’ll definitely book here again.

Kona Breeze was a great getaway for us. The house’s location couldn’t be better — for catching sunsets and close to everything in town. The home was also very clean and well-appointed. You can tell that Liz and her family have made some great memories here over the years because they have everything from a fire pit by the water to fishing nets, games to books, and all the cookware and utensils you could ever need in a year-round home. Simply - they thought of everything. Liz is also a very responsive host, texting regularly with pertinent information. Our stay was super relaxing and fun, and we’d come back in a heartbeat. Thank you to the Shaw family for being such gracious hosts.

Beautiful home with beautiful view. The cleanest property I’ve ever stayed in.

Our first time to the Outer Banks. Loved it! The house and location were great, locals were great, town was just right!

This was our second stay at Kona Breeze. The home is comfortable and clean, and the view of the bay and sunsets from the deck are beautiful. Our adult sons and their wives/girlfriend enjoyed fishing and crabbing off the dock. (They threw the critters back in.) Brought all our own food and stayed in for meals. Plenty of space on beaches to stay 6 feet apart. Felt safe during this Co-vid time we’re all experiencing. 👍�🏻�💕�

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the house, as well as the beautiful views of the sun setting over the Sound. The house was just perfect for a three generation family vacation.

This place is perfect for a relaxing vacation. We had four adults and three young kids and the water right outside the door was awesome. We took a short ride to the beach one day, but we preferred to step out on the dock and hop in the water. The ocean on the outer banks is a bit intimidating for young kids, so we appreciated the calm waters of the sound. We rented several things for waterspouts and the dock provided easy access to all of them. The outdoor shower with hot water was great after a day in the water. The house was very comfortable and clean. Kitchen was well appointed. There's a park grill that we used several times. WIFI was good and a nice TV was available, although we didn't use it. The views of the sound from inside and outside were great. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Now that I've stayed waterfront on the sound, I prefer it to the beach, especially for the access to waterspouts and the calm water for the kids. The house was affordable and perfect for the seven of us - we'll be back.

Amazing experience and to end renting and staying at this gem of a property - attentive owners , well apportioned and comfortable home 14 steps to the water - great location and the place is total chill - great great place to relax and unwind for a week. Thanks Liz !
