The property is convenient to all activities, comfortable and fully equipped. The hosts are very accommodating and our stay was perfect. We hope to make a repeat visit.

This is a beautiful property, spacious and well furnished. The kitchen is fully set with every pot and appliance.You could want to prepare a Christmas meal. The home is very comfortable with a great TV room for a football viewing. The Christmas lights on the homes in Balboa is spectacular to see.

Will definitely rebook!

The week was great. George is an excellent host or owner. Communicated quickly, accurately and honestly. The booklet of info in the house gave you everything you needed to know. Place was clean, big and quiet. Everything worked and even had beach chairs, towels and kids toys. Internet was fast and washer and dryer were top shelf. Everything worked and the neighborhood is quiet and peacefull. Just a half block to a small beach and a block to the Ferry. All you can ask for. I would do it again and price and value were a "5".

We had a lovely time at the house. We loved the location because it is very close to the ferry and it is a quiet street.

Great Victorian style house with a number of unique finishes. The property is just four houses from the harbor front and a two block stroll to the Balboa Island ferry. The master bedroom is wonderful with multiple windows that make it seem you are in a tree house when looking out the windows, plus a small balcony with seating for two with a view of the harbor. Will definitely be revisiting in the future. One note not directly related to the property is that much of Newport Beach lies under the departure flight paths from Orange County Airport, so you will experience aircraft noise throughout the day. George and Karen are great hosts and you will be in good hands at their property. Final note, the kitchen has just about everything you could think of to use, very well stocked!

Very well-maintained and comfortable house in best location on the island, near boardwalk and ferry, walkable to all stores. Has all amenities one would need, including washer and dryer and garage for parking, three televisions, three bathrooms. Spacious, clean, secure. Owner is great communicator and very quick to respond. Would definitely rent again.

This property is conventionally located two blocks away from the Balboa Ferry crossing, 4 houses from the beach and a lovely 25 min walk to Marine Street.

Had a great time getting the family together for a special week on Balboa Island. The house was comfortable and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the openness of the downstairs area.....lots of room for working on a large puzzle and having wonderful pancake breakfasts for the whole gang. Having 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, that were so nice, was great. The house location is close to the beach and the ferry. The weather was absolutely perfect! However, some of the items such as towels and bedding really need updating. So, because of this, will give a 4 star instead of 5.

We had a great time here. We loved the location and sitting on the porch or the balcony and watching the sail boats go by in the Bay. Great TV room where we watched some Angel and Dodger games. Comfortable bedrooms and great kitchen. Easy to walk to beaches and fish which we did several days. Really nice street and our 8 year old met some nice friends from nearby houses. We hope to come back soon!!

Our stay on the island was excellent. The house was clean and on the quiet side of the island. The ferry was just down the street and made it convienent to cross over to shops and the ocean waves. This is a really nice property for the money.

First, let's talk location. The house is 5 houses from the water and thus a bit off the walking traffic...so very quiet and private. It is also just 1 block from the Ferry which made it easy to find some fun restaurants on the other side. Also, very close to the 73 toll road which made getting around the O.C. Very Easy Next, the house is a REAL house. It has 3 bedrooms, den, living room and dining room plus 3 full baths, and full kitchen with everything that one would possibly need to prepare dinner...or in our case, appetizers and a glass of wine with friends before we hit the village or ferry for a restaurant. The garage is a REAL plus, since parking on the Island is close to impossible. Lastly, the whole process of moving in and out was easy and seemless. This house was a find and it comes highly recommended by these travelers. Lgg

We absolutely loved our time at this house. It had such an inviting feel to it and was so wonderfully equipped with the conveniences of home. The location on the island is perfect. It's so close to the ferry and walkway around the island but is not on a busy street. Waking up and looking out the french doors to the view of the bay was the perfect start to each day. I couldn't recommend this lovely home more!!

Balboa island is special and so is this property. Owners were very friendly and approachable via email. Information manual was relatively comprehensive just needed info on nearest supermarket to make it fully comprehensive. Overall we can't wait to go back.

Almost do 't want to describe for fear I wont be able to rent again Very well located. 4 house down from a beach, no one but us on it most of the time. Percect fir hanging, playing with sand toys provided by the house or launching our paddle board we rented from Just Paddle for the week. With such a short walk portage was easy. Two blocks to ferry. .06 to Balboa bars. Lovely to walk the wayerfront to get there My only wuibbleis I do widh the house interior brought in the beach vibe. Lighter colors, light decor, however the chosen the theme is darker colors but quality wood furniture, no ikea here. Also, the place is immaculate. Not a speck of dust. Also, big kitchen, not that common on Balboa, updated bathrooms upstairs with terrific water pressure. Loved a shower after a day out sude, then a glass of wine on the Northwest facing balony off the master, before eating our home made dinner on the front patio. Oncethe evening chill sets in we went into the family room, put on the gire and played board games. Supper dishes put away and then would ho to the TV room sit on a comfy couch and pick a movie from Netflix on the gigantic flat screen. Perfect family evening The Master room is undersold in the pictures. It's large, comfy bed, ensuite bathroom withdouble sinks. Big walk in closet and afoubalcony. From the brd and balcony you have a partialview of the Ocean. Washer dryer downstairs worked well. Smple clean garage. It is a very good price for so much. They mention that thete ate tenats above the garage. Never saw them. Heard them run the washing machine once absolutely no intrusion at all The one one time I needed to call the manager about something he was very responsive A great time

The house has a wonderful location, close to ferry, short walk to shopping and restaurants. The house is spacious enough for 4 guests, and amenities are good. The owner was extremely nice and interested in our well-being and comments. The downside is that the house is a bit dark, although that might be normal for Balboa Island, as the properties are close together. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
