The owners have updated the appliances in the kitchen and the bathrooms, however, the cookware is older and very mismatched, so we had trouble finding lids to pots, etc. Also there are several corded and cordless phones throughout the unit that aren't in use and taking up space and collecting dust that should be removed from the unit. Overall, the unit was clean, but there are picture frames, knick-knacks,etc. that don't look like they've been dusted in quite awhile. It's a nice unit, but could use just a little more updating to be on par with some of the other places we've stayed in Seaside. Whenever we had questions, the rental agency was very responsive and the ability to communicate through text was very convenient.

It is a very comfortable place to hang out. It has everything. All you need to bring is food, even the kitchen has everything else you might need.

The front and rear porches are quiet, relaxing and enjoyable. The E. Ruskin private beach crosswalk is a flat, picturesque stroll of about 3-4 minutes to a well-maintained, spacious white sand beach with clean, private bathrooms. This home has 2 Queen BR/BA, Dining Table for 6, comfy living space with vaulted ceiling for TV, games, conversation, kitchen with bar seating for 6, and a utility with W/D and extra counter space we used for beverages/bar area. There is a loft area that was not accessible during our stay and we had no need for this space. Appears to be a reading/observation nook with a sofa. The amenities provided by Home Collection are first class plus they provide plenty of household items for the stay (soaps, detergents, shampoo, paper products). The read-ahead instructions were correct and helpful. The house was clean, arranged well and decorated with what appeared to be local art - very colorful. The Home Collection staff is friendly, informative and accommodating making the booking and arrival processes simple. For a party of up to four/two-couple trip, I will stay at Lady on the Beach again. I will definitely book through Home Collection and their recommended concierge services.

The Management group came the night we arrived to make sure everything was up to our expectations. The house was clean and the bathrooms have been renovated it seems. The house will soon need some cosmetic renovations and updating and could use new linens. The bedding and couch covers need to be updated. Even with these view negatives I would rent again. The location can't be beat.

The house is small to be sure, but has 2 bed and bath and a solid kitchen plus grill out back. Plenty of seating although it would get cramped if you had bad luck on weather. Reviewer Comments: With large porches and a good-sized open concept main room, this was an excellent space to relax and socialize while still being able to social distance. Nice furnishings that are complemented by the decorations and great appliances for cooking made cooking and eating at the rental rather than going out much easier. We had 3 people, but I think 4 could sleep there easily and comfortably in the two bedrooms. The loft looks nice and is cleverly placed and accessed, but it lacks any real privacy and I would be concerned about having young kids up there. Where the cottage is positioned in Seaside means it is close to the center of town without being located such that traffic or noise are an issue, which meant that it was very pleasant to sit and read or work on the porches. There is good lighting at the two ends of the main room, but insufficient lighting in the middle around the couches. A hanging light fixture above that central coffee table would definitely help. There is lighting on the porches, but on the front porch at least it is not very bright even with the dimmers turned all the way up. On the subject of dimmers, there is a slightly odd array of different switch styles around the cottage, some of which are well labeled and some of which are less so. Bathroom fixtures are very attractive and functional, though the bath spigot for the front bedroom was not properly affixed to the wall. Hot water was plentiful and available quickly and the air conditioning was very effective. Overall, a very enjoyable stay!

Our family of four stayed in the Lady on the Beach and REALLY enjoyed it! The house was so comfortable and perfect size for the four of us. Screened in porches were so nice to sit on and eat meals and have a few glasses of wine in the evenings. And the beach is an easy walk and so beautiful - clean sand and such clear water. We will definitely go back!
