Love, love this peaceful quiet place. So organized, clean, beautiful! I’ve stayed in some nice places but this was my favorite so far.

Condo was nice and close to the beach in a quiet area. Would definitely book a future stay.

I hesitate to give the property 5 stars, because I don't want anyone to stay there but us! We live within 90 min of Kiawha and have been going there for years. This condo is the best for two people we have stayed in. The welcome book is terrific, especially for first timers. The layout for this size typical condo of Kiawha was unique and perfect. Many tasteful upgrades had been made. This place had EVERY possible item of use one could ask to be provided. It was very clean and in a great location. The distance to the beach was 2 min 27.45 sec - with a gait length of 20.5 inches and no wind factor in play :)

Our stay at Kiawah Island was a magical experience for my family and me. The service we received was top-notch. I was amazed at how logistically simple the check-in and check-out process way. This villa was perfect for me and my family. The location was a few steps away from the beach. We look forward to returning next year.

This past week, my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at The Shade at Seascape on Kiawah Island. We had to go to the Charleston area for business but were not particularly looking forward to the trip due to our apprehension with Covid 19. Unfortunately we could not put the trip off. From the moment we made our booking through Kiawah Island Getaways, we were put at ease. The Shade, although compact in size, was newly updated with all the amenities we desired. This was important for many reasons but mostly because we knew we would be spending a good deal of our time there cooking and relaxing. Maybe ten minutes after our booking, we received a call from Shawn, the managing agent (and I believe part owner along with with his wife Jeanette) at Kiawah Island Getaways, I explained my apprehension, and he assured me their staff followed strict protocols regarding cleaning and disinfecting of all contact surfaces. True to his word, when we arrived, the place was spotless and smelled as though it had been thoroughly scrubbed! Usually with a rental, you need to run immediately to the store for the basic necessities: toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher and laundry soap, etc, At the Shade, these items were stocked!! The dishwasher and washing machine were spotless. The kitchen was full of quality appliances both large and small. The villa was very tastefully decorated, and a beautiful arrangement of fresh flowers greeted us along with soothing music. A binder listed recommended activities, restaurants and places to shop. Honestly, there really was not a thing we lacked. For relaxation, Kiawah’s breathtaking beaches were less than a 2-3 minute stroll. And if you felt too lazy to go to the beach, the villa had a cozy screened in porch with Adirondack chairs and a ceiling fan for those hot August days!! As you might guess, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be returning!

We loved our long weekend in this beautiful home. We enjoyed the easy access to the beach and the well-appointed kitchen that offered the ability to cook at home. Our favorite spot was the tranquil screened-in porch, which allowed us to hear the ocean, feel the breeze, and spend time together off the beach. We hope to be back soon!

EVERY aspect of this rental exceeded our expectations from the communication before arrival to the comfortable bed and adorable cottage feel. It was all superb. We loved all the restaurant and activity suggestions. Attention to detail here cannot be stressed enough. We would book here again in a heartbeat.

We were interrupted by Hurricane Dorian 2 days into our stay. No issues with rental. We will try again!

The Shade is a beautiful villa...if possible even nicer than the photos. The owners have done an amazing job of thinking of every detail needed to make your stay a great one. It is obvious from the perfect cleanliness and perfectly maintained furniture and fixtures that the owners take great pride in this villa. The owners themselves were great to work with. All of their communication with us was detailed, friendly, and professional. I look forward to renting from them again for another great Kiawah getaway.

You can book this unit with total confidence! The owners were awesome and keep their unit in "like new condition" with all sorts of amenity surprises. Everything about the rental was easy from booking, to the short walk to the great, wide beach. This was our first visit to Kiawah Island and we loved the Shade's location. Can't wait to find time to go back in the Fall !!

It was an amazing place to stay while in Kiawah. This was our fourth visit through Kiawah Island Getaways but first time in this villa. We absolutely loved it, it is very close to the beach, quite and secluded place. The interior is beautifully and tastefully decorated with comfortable bed and luxurious linens. Shawn and Jeanette are great people to plan your next getaway.

Our 3rd time staying at The Shade. We absolutely love Kiawah and Kiawah Island Getaways is part of the reason we keep coming back every year! Close to shopping, restaurants and beach. Lovely place

Love, love, love staying at the Shade. Kiawah Island Getaways is now our go to for our vacations while staying on Kiawah. Convenient location to the beach, Freshfields for shopping and dining to the convenient drive to downtown Charleston. We've been the past couple of years and are already thinking about when to schedule our next trip and stay. Can't go wrong with Kiawah Island Getaways!

First of all, the service provided by Jeanette and her team is Ritz-Carlton level! This particular property has been redone to perfection. Great use of space for the small area. Finishes are top notch. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked, including 2 kinds of coffee makers! I actually chose to cook on my vacation because it was such great little space to enjoy a meal and watch a movie. The walk to beach is so convenient and easy. Would stay here again in a minute.

I have stayed at many places but the attention to detail here is unmatched. Close walk to the Beach and everything you need for a great stay. Even snapped a photo of the label on the sheets to purchase a set for our home they were so comfortable.

Perfect condo for two.

A perfect get away with all the comforts of home! We wanted to revisit the Charleston area because we have always loved it so much but wanted to add the beach element into our vacation this year. Once we arrived on Kiawah Island and walked in the Shade at Seascape we didn't leave. It's super convenient to restaurants, shopping and groceries @ Freshfields which we visited on a daily basis during our stay. The Shade is beautiful with it's décor and high end finishes. We will definitely be back!

This was our first time at The Shade- we had stayed at The Vista twice, but decided to try something different. This villa was awesome! We so loved the screened in porch- we were a little concerned about privacy but that was no issue. We had coffee out there every morning. Every evening we had the pleasure of seeing a mother deer and her two babies walking down our path- so awesome. The villa it's self was the perfect size for my husband & I. We truly loved everything about it. The bed was extremely comfortable, loved the walk-in shower with the rain shower head. As always, stocked so well with everything and anything you could possibly need. It was also very close to the beach. We timed it one day- from the front door until we had our chairs in the sand was only 3 minutes! Jeanette & Shawn are always so easy to work with- very prompt in responding - the whole booking system is very easy. We always appreciate the extreme cleanliness of their properties and their attention to details. We highly recommend this property- we look forward to staying again.

We have rented this particular condo on three different occasions. Each and every time was a fabulous experience. Small condo, quiet, close to the beach, beautifully decorated, even fresh flowers! Shawn and Jeanette know how to make your vacation experience very special.
