My husband and I had three nights to enjoy this little gem in Ballard. You will want for nothing if you are lucky enough to also stay. Virginia has generously provided great toiletries, kitchen and food items, laundry detergent, and more. It is comfortably furnished with a cabin-y feel, enhanced by the little gas stove heater, dark wood trim, and antique doors, making everything attractive and solid feeling. At the end of their driveway (exclusive to you) it nonetheless feels very private and is super quiet. While there are lots of windows, the natural light is not great for reading, so I second another reviewer's suggestion for a lamp by the couch. Seattle restaurants are NOT cheap, so a recommendation is Maggie Bluffs, a casual but good restaurant at the marina (near the cruise lines), at the bottom of Magnolia bridge. Tricky to find but worth the trip and tables always available. Thank you Virginia for creating our sweet home away from home! We had a great stay :-)

Lovely little home, very functional layout and beautiful build quality. The bed is like a cloud - I’ve never slept so well in a stay-away bed. We hosted family for brunch and Virginia, the host, brought over a leaf for the table and an extra chair.
Parking spot off the street is a great perk, too.
The neighborhood is single-family homes and sidewalks - getting hard to find in Seattle. We walked to the park that overlooks Shilshole marina to work off the cinnamon rolls we grabbed from Piccolino’s bakery for the brunch. Great restaurant for dinner, as well.
We would like to just move in. ;-)

This home is just as it appears in the listing...it is peaceful and perfectly located! In our opinion, the Ballard neighborhood is one of the best parts of Seattle...we enjoyed the easy access to local restaurants, breweries, and attractions. If you're wanting to spend time sightseeing in Seattle, you don't even have to get on I-5. There is a quick "backroad" drive that gets you to the Space Needle, Pike's Market, etc. within 15-20 minutes. The home was supplied with everything you could need to cook there. The home is comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed our 10 day stay and would certainly recommend it!

Perfection
I LOVED this property. Every detail in the cottage is thought out in anticipation of what a guest might need or want. The decor is done so well with a nautical theme that is fun but extremely tasteful. My local friend wishes she could live here instead of her apartment. I will definitely come back and wish I could stay longer this time! Thank you

Adorable cottage rental in Ballard.
This lovely rental checked all of the boxes. Clean, updated, private cottage. Appreciated the equipped kitchen, extra plush towels, laundry within the bathroom. Zoned split heat/ ac units.
Perfect for two people.
Also robes and spa slippers included and a selection of bed sleeping pillows soft to firm!

Cozy and inviting!
There are just too many wonderful things to list about this property but to name a few...the neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, off street parking is available, snacks, coffee and other comforts of home provided, communication with Victoria was excellent and to add to all of that, the cottage is just so lovely. We would definitely check for availability next time we're in Seattle!

Wonderful place to stay!
This is our favorite place to stay in Seattle. It’s in a lovely, quiet neighborhood, yet is walking distance to vibrant Ballard, and an easy drive to downtown and many other fun Seattle neighborhoods. The cottage is cozy and very well appointed, and off street parking is a nice bonus. Communication and checkin/checkout were completely smooth. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay
So easy to access, very clean, lots of extras such as coffee, tea, granola bars, choice of pillows, bath amenities, robes, slippers, easy to operate TV. Owner responded quickly to my texts. Will stay again.
Could only suggest some better lamps for reading downstairs. All in all we loved It and we’ve stayed at a lot of places in Ballard.

Great stay in Seattle
A perfect place for two to stay and use as a base for this really fun city. We had the cool weather we came for and so didn't need to use the A/C, but we did cook some and everything we needed was there. Did help that we had a car because the house is a long walk from Ballard's business district, but I saw that on the map.

Perfect "home" base for exploring Seattle
Probably the most welcoming property we've ever walked into....fresh flowers, music, bottle of wine, snacks, coffee to easily make. Considering houses are close together in the area the space seemed very private. Nice area to just walk around and easy to navigate to "the city" or plenty to do nearby.

Cozy Carriage House
Our host, Virginia, went above and beyond to create a warm and welcoming stay for our family. Upon arrival, wonderful jazz music was playing from the retro radio and Virginia provided an oscillating fan, as requested. Light snacks, a bottle of wine, plush towels and a very comfortable bed were just what we needed after a long days travel. The location in Ballard could not have been more perfect. Don't hesitate to book this wonderful property! We look forward to going back soon :)

There is nothing these owners haven’t thought about in outfitting this place. From the bottle of wine and snacks that made breakfast and sightseeing snacks so easy to a pick your pillow closet, this place has it all. Spotless and refurbished with no detail left behind. So much character & comfort. Very safe, quiet, and ideal location. Everything was just easy & homey. Hostess went out of her way to get me an early Check-in. It’s hard to document how much is right about this luxurious & beautiful little carriage house. I didn’t want to leave & now I want a reason to come back!

We are very thankful for your thoughtfulness in making the cottage so comfortable and welcoming. Everything was thoughtfully and skillfully arranged to make us feel comfortable and at home. We really appreciated the wine, fruit, snacks and beverages that were provided, as we were tired and hungry when we arrived. If we are ever in Seattle again, we will definitely stay again!

Perfection!
We loved our stay in Virginia's backyard cottage. Everything in the cottage is expertly designed and beautiful to behold. There is enough space to relax downstairs when you are not out enjoying all Seattle has to offer and the kitchen provides everything you need if you want to cook your meals. The bedroom upstairs is very comfortable and the bathroom has plenty of room. The location is perfect for exploring the city and Virginia makes it very easy to come and go. We could not have felt more comfortable or welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our plan is to stay here every time we visit Seattle.

Awesome stay at Loyal Heights
It really is the best place to stay in Ballard. The Carriage House was top notch. Viriginia is all about the detail. She made sure we were very comfortable for our stay. She emailed us the day before our arrival with detailed instructions on exactly how to get there. She emailed the day of our arrival to suggest we use the Waze App to get around town because of all the construction going on around town. Communication was great and Virginia responds immediately to emails sent to her. The carriage house was extremely clean and very tastefully decorated. We loved our stay and will definitely be back for our next stay in Seattle.

A cozy and beautifully appointed cottage.
This was by far the best place we have stayed in while visiting our son and family in Ballard! The owners have thought of every comfort from breakfast snacks to welcoming fresh flowers. The kitchen is well-organized and efficient. The decor is very tastefully done. We hope to stay here again the next time we come for a visit.

A true home away from home
My husband and I spent five nights here and it was a wonderful place to return to after our adventures of the day. It was clean, cozy, comfortable and full of amenities and thoughtful touches. Some of my favorites were the soft, plush bathrobes, the selection of Keurig coffees, the bottle of wine that awaited us upon our arrival, the light breakfast foods and snacks, the great bed and shower and the quiet, residential neigborhood. It was also close to Puget Sound and a great beach, and not far from downtown attractions such as Chihuly Glass Gardens and the Space Needle. If I was asked to rate all our VRBO and Airbnb experiences, this one would be at the very top.
