Ideal rental home. Plenty of bed space. 15 minutes from Denali Park entrance. Ideal for day hikers. House was clean. Good linens, well equipped, etc…

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in good, but outdated condition. The furniture and beds as well as sheets and pillows are well worn and some uncomfortable. There is only one TV in the front room, that only has a limited number of cable stations - no streaming. The advertising picture of a wild animal outside is dated as wildlife are few in the area so it is unlikely to see them. The hot water is limited as well and you must wait about 15 minutes after someone took a shower to have hot water for the next shower - inconvenience was great. The master bedroom had poor lighting placement so the shower remains dark and there are precarious awkward steps to the toilet with no light that is a major safety issue. The expensive rental left much to be desired and now has less expensive and more modern and new -stay else.

It was slightly difficult getting ahold of someone when our plans changed, but very friendly and worked with me . The house was excellent and was everything I was hoping for. A lot to see within a short driving distance. Than you

Beautiful property exactly as listed, the location and house are fantastic, we all really enjoyed it. If you enjoy the outdoors, you will love this place. There was a bowl placed in the utility room to deal with cold-water condensation that we emptied a couple of times, but no problems. Thank you, David for sharing the property. Steve R

August 2023, 4 day stay with two families, 8 people. The house is as advertised although we did not see the moose. Clean and comfortable house with convenient lay out of bedrooms away from kitchen/living room. One bathroom off living room, second first floor bathroom is in the bedroom that has the bed and the bunk beds. The upstairs with a hallway bathroom has two bedrooms (one has a bunkbed and a bed, the other a bed for two). The attached garage converted into game room with darts, ping pong, couch, washer/dryer is great place for family fun. Plenty of silverware, dishes, pots/pans, glasses. Could use a few more bathroom towels for bigger groups. The road to house is filled with potholes so if you arrive at night drive slowly. Within short walking distance is golf course (not in good shape but was fun), ATV rentals, Lake Otto. From the house it is about 10 minute drive north to Three Bears grocer and gas station and the 49th State Restaurant, about 15 minutes south to souvenir shops and lodges, about 20 minutes south to Denali National Park. If you're not doing sea/land trip with cruise ship and you want to avoid the high price of staying in the cruise ship owned lodges then I highly recommend this rental because you can easily go visit the lodge stores and restaurants as well as the park from this location.

Bedrooms and bathrooms are ample but the kitchen and living areas are tight. We had 6 adults and a toddler and were happy that the weather was good so we could be outside.

The house is great size and very well located 20 minutes from Denali Park, 5 minutes from grocery store, gas, ATV riding, Black Diamond Grill and 49th State Brewery & Grill. Good size bedrooms, although one has to use bath in living area (not a big deal). Den is little small for nine, but easy to spread across dining area (seats 8). Well equipped kitchen. Ping pong and darts got lots of use. Lovely view. Highly recommend.

Lovely home. Perfect for families. Our little grandson saw the Ping Pong table and declared it the best place Really appreciated the washer and dryer.The large windows looking out at Denali were perfect. Well stocked and so many thoughtful touches.

We loved the house, clean and plenty of room

The house is so nice, well built and well designed with gorgeous views. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nicely divided for two families. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking supplies. Great place to stay!

We enjoyed this property. There was plenty of room for everyone and we were very grateful for the use of a washer and dryer. The view was very nice.The directions to to property were very clear and easy to follow.

The two rental units of both the main house and cabin met the needs of our family group of 17. This is not a hotel. But if anyone who is interested in being in the Denali area with outstanding views, excellent amenities and a very communicative host, these 2 properties would meet be an outstanding choice.

Great mountain views with visits from mother and child moose. Close to Denali and Healy so plenty of restaurant options. Comfortable and clean Bedrooms and bathrooms

Very clean, comfortable and quiet. The location was great and the view was beautiful! It was very well-equipped and I felt right at home. I was worried about how dark the rooms would get since the sun never fully sets in summer, but there are blinds and blackout curtains and it was plenty dark to go to bed. Having coffee and laundry detergent available was very much appreciated. Very spacious! Highly recommend!

If I’m ever headed back to the area, I would try to rent this property again

WOW! Absolutely loved this place!! The house was stocked with everything you could need, the view is amazing and the location is perfect for visiting Denali. David is a fantastic host full of tips for visiting the area !! Awesome place!!

Great location, and accommodated a big group. Living room is not very large so don’t plan on hanging out there, but you should be out and about doing things anyways :) close to the golf course and lake. Lots of places to walk. Would def stay here again.

Fun place, great location

Everything was ready for us. Plenty of room for all 9 of us! Very close to Denali and all our activities! Having laundry facilities was awesome! Laundry soap and anything else we’d need was here! Thanks got a great stay!

This property worked well to explore Denali and have some in our group relax and enjoy the space. The children loved the ping pong table and the space there. We loved having people on different levels to divide up the space. It was clean and wonderfully cared for. We loved it.

It was a great location with easy access to Denali but very quiet.

The bedrooms were all separated from the kitchen and living area which was nice. We could get up and make coffee without worrying about waking everyone up. The house was well equipped with kitchen necessities. Had a great time!

This rental home far exceeded our expectations!! It was spacious, had plenty of space for our group of 7, and had great views. It was close to Denali but far enough away to feel the beauty of the area. We loved this house and would stay here again if we return!!!

My family of 6 stayed here for a couple of days. We loved the view out the large family room window! While playing cards one night, a momma moose and her baby strolled down the driveway and stopped to munch on some shrubs. The owner worked with us during the COVID rebooking mess which we greatly appreciated!

The house is around 20 minutes north of Denali park. The house cannot be located via GPS, but it was easy to find following owner’s instructions. The house is a good size for us, three adults and three teens. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen has everything we need. The view is great, and we get to see the snow capped mountains from the dining room. The only complaint I had was the washing machine- the gasket around the drum was very dirty. I spent 20 minutes wiping the dirt out before I could load my laundry. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Very nice, clean & lots of room for the 6 of us. 3 bathrooms which was great!!! A little hard to find but loved the quietness and view!! Highly recommend for families or larger groups.

Beautiful setting a short drive from the entrance to Denali NP. Good space for families with living space separate from bedrooms.

We spent an amazing 3 nights at Dave's house in Healy, just outside Denali National Park. The views are just spectacular, especially from the LR/DR windows! It was really roomy and comfortable, allowing us all to spread out in 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The house was very clean, furniture was nice, and the kitchen was well-stocked. It had the most plush, comfortable towels of anywhere we stayed this trip! It was also the only place we stayed in Alaska that had live tv, which was so appreciated as it let us watch some of the Olympics! Dave was very responsive to any questions we had and made us feel like valued guests. The house is just a few minutes drive from the main road, so it was really easy and quick to get to the gigantic Three Bears Supermarket or the fantastic 49th State Brewing restaurant, where we ate 2 of our 3 dinners. Black Diamond Resort's golf course, ATV tours and restaurant are also just a couple of blocks around the corner. Fantastic place to stay and experience Denali. Highly recommended!
