The property was amazing as was the host who made sure we had everything we needed. We absolutely loved kayaking & enjoying the beautiful scenery, as well as the short trip to spend a day at Acadia National Park.

If you want to be right on a peaceful lake this is the place to rent. It's the perfect to sit out and watch the sunset while listening to the loons and watching the eagles soar above. Lots of deer and other wildlife are around. The road to it is very private so no through traffic yet it's very close to stores, restaurants, and hiking trails. Kayaks are provided and it's an easy launch from the dock.

We had an awesome time in Josh/Linda's charming cottage! The location provides access to the Maine wilderness (lake, woods), as well as conveniences of a town (shopping, eateries). Generous hosts, great communication. We hope to be back!

The view and peacefulness of the location could not be beat. Enjoyed being able to kayak right off the dock, watching and listening to the Loons.

We has a marvelous time at Everymoon Cottage on Fields Pond. Josh was a gracious and accommodating host and Fields Pond is beautiful and peaceful with virtually no motorboats; a great place to kayak or just enjoy the view and the echo of loon song. Our 20 somethings and our teen had a great time on the lake too. It's also within an hour of Acadia National Park-an easy drive to the coast-- and not far from Bangor / Brewer should you need to go shopping.

My husband turned 84 the day we arrived. Because we live in Florida he hadn’t seen Fall foliage in many years so to sit in front of the five windows and have such a beautiful view made his day extra special. We loved the location, we enjoyed the decorations and were very comfortable there. I would love to come back in late April so he could watch Spring arrive.

Enjoyed our stay...quiet and convenient to visit old friends in the Bangor area. Very relaxing listening to the loons on the pond.

I think the most important aspect of this rental is the opening/window between the bathroom and the rest of the house. I do not understand why this is not the first thing that all the reviews comment on. It is bizarre. Why would you have an opening? You can hear everyone peeing! The rest of the house is quirky, which is fine. But the other problem was the overwhelming mustiness of the place. When we arrived it was very musty. After opening all the windows and circulating the air with a fan, the smell diminished. But the downstairs was unbearable. Nobody stayed down there except the dog in her crate. The lake was absolutely gorgeous! The loons and their calling was beautiful. I could deal with how quirky the place is, but the opening to the bathroom and the musty smell is the reason I gave it 3 stars.

We had such a great time staying at Josh’s place. The house was the perfect size and had plenty of space to accommodate our group of six. We were in town for a concert and had a great time relaxing back at the house and enjoying all that the lake had to offer. Josh was an excellent host and the house is clean, well taken care of and well equipped with everything needed for a cozy stay in the woods. We easily could have spent more time there relaxing and enjoying the views of the lake. We hope to return sometime again soon to check out more of what Maine has to offer.

Cabin was immaculate, cozy and rustic. Lake access and kayak availability. Just what we wanted. Close to Bangor and Acadia for day trips. Josh was very communicative and helpful. We will be back.

We were looking for a Maine cottage by a lake and we got a Maine cottage by the lake. We were looking for rustic and homey and the Everymoon cottage was just that. Fishing was great. My daughter caught more than I did. It was close to Bangor and the owner was very attentive. We enjoyed are short trip to the Everymoon cottage very much.

This is the perfect property to rent if you want to be able to relax at a quiet lake, go kayaking or fishing, and listen to loons calling. It's also 50 minutes from Acadia. The style of the cottage is quirky in a vintage way. My family had a great time!

Cute little cottage by the lake ..we loved the quietness , kayaking , fishing and just sitting out side. Close to the stores and if you are a hiker Acaidia is the place to go to. We climbed The beehive , spectacular views..

My family was in town for a big reunion. Our stay in the cottage was perfect. Joshua was friendly and welcoming, and I would be happy to book it again.

Overall we were happy with our stay at Loon Hollow. Being right on the water made for wonderful views and made it easy to relax. The owner answered all questions we had, we had some trouble finding where the garbage was suppose to go. The location for us was great! Close to all the things we needed and not far from Bar Harbor area. We liked the fact that the house didn't have a tv as it gave us time to connect. The playroom was amazing for my kids, they loved all the toys and would just watch the water fro the windows. Some things I think could be updated. The couch was very uncomfortable, as the house has limited seating this was an issue for us. The cool thing was we used the hammock that hangs in the living room a lot! The biggest issue for us was there is a window between the bathroom and living room and the window was missing. This made it a awkward whenever someone wanted to use the restroom. The house is being worked on, but I feel that this should have fixed before we arrived, Overall I would highly recommend this house to anyone, it was everything we needed just needs some slight improvements. I can tell the owner takes great pride in this cabin and you can feel that. We did love that about this house !

Loved the location and the beautiful pond. Fishing poles and kayaks were provided and the grandchildren spent endless hours swimming, fishing and kayaking. The camp is well decorated and very comfortable. Josh was available to answer our questions and share information about the pond and surrounding area. We loved our time at the camp.

Josh communicated very well prior and during our stay here. When we arrived it was kind of hard to find the house only because we didn't see the house number on tree and the house color (green trim and white) was no longer green trim from looking at the back of the house. I did try to follow instructions from Josh but there were so many factors in the search for the house lol! Other then that the stay was lovely. We enjoyed the pond, and utilized their kitchen and amenities. Sunsets were incredible. Phone Service in the area was not great but we expected that and we did not want to be attached to our tech devices. On our third day my husband pointed out that they did not have a TV, honestly I did not miss it because we hardly watch TV when we are home. This place is to enjoy each other's company and I do appreciate the little quotes left around the house. Thanks for the stay, my husband wants to move to Maine now.

What a perfect place for us to stay! 6 of us stayed at the cabin for a friend's wedding. The cabin is not far from Brewer/Bangor and essentially had everything we needed with the exception of food of course! We had beautiful weather and were able to enjoy sitting on the dock in the sun and doing a little fishing and had a little camp fire at night! Everything was included-- towels, linens, etc. Thank you Josh & family for allowing us to stay in your beautiful little cottage-- we would love to stay again to be able to enjoy it even longer!

Evermoon cottage was everything we expected and more. Josh the owner is extremely responsive and lives immediately nearby and saw to our every need. Location is great 10 minutes from Bangor or Brewer only an hour from Bar Harbor or Acadia. The views from the cottage are amazing. The lake was great for swimming kayaking or just to relax . It is pet friendly our dog Maggie had a great time swimming in the lake. We will definitely be back next year. Nancy and Larry

We stayed 4 days in May and it truly is a charming little oasis from another era. Not another era entirely, it does have wifi...Right on the lake (or pond it's called up there) where the water goes from glassy in the morning to white caps with some weather. A morning cup of coffee can't get any better than this. It is filled with personal and homey touches that we loved. Fully stocked with everything you need to get started for a vacation. Drawbacks are one bedroom has no electricity (I believe it is a work in progress). There was a lantern so not total darkness. The stairs going down to the 3rd bedroom and the game room are treacherous for old folks like us but we managed and there's a gate to protect from young ones falling down or hurting themselves. I would go again but without the 5th person we had this time to avoid the stairs. Lots of toys so I can't say it isn't good for children. Josh is patient and wonderful.

A very charming little getaway. It felt very quiet, but was still quite close to Bangor/Brewer to access what the city offers. The place was very clean, and all the instructions for checking were clear. The only reason for four starts instead of five: One of the bedrooms was completely without electricity. There were lights and sockets there but none of them were working. This was a problem for us, since we have a toddler, and we couldn't set up any video/audio monitors or white noise machine for naptime, nor could we really see very well for most of the day (a late December stay, so not much daylight.) We didn't discover this until we arrived, but when I contacted the owners, he acknowledged that this was a known problem, he just didn't know the cause. However, he hadn't let us know in advance (so we might have been able to pack/plan differently) nor had he tried to make accommodations with an extension cord. They provided a battery-powered lantern, and that was it. Everything else was very lovely, but having the power out to a quarter of the house was a big deal, especially since the owner had known about it in advance. I recommend staying here, but it would be worth inquiring ahead of time as to whether and how this problem has been fixed, and whether there are any similar problems.

We stayed here for the weekend and it was lovely:) Pros: the cottage has very pretty views and a good welcoming feel. Kayaking on the pond was our favorite part- very peaceful. It was clean and well supplied- minus a few items that I'll mention below. Cons: The neighbors are very close and quite loud, but the property still felt private considering. There was no curtain on the bathroom window- so anyone outside can see in! And the bathroom has a window opening in the living room so if multiple families are staying together there is little privacy while in the bathroom. And there were only a few bath clothes - The kitchen was well supplied except not enough ice trays and no large pots for boiling lobster:( and no lobster cracker - but we made do. The owner was very nice - we would definitely return;)

We had a great weekend at the cabin. Owner was very accommodating and we loved the view and proximity of the pond. Would visit again.

Five of our family were in Maine for 4 days to attend a high school graduation. Our original plan to stay in a motel would not have given us the memory we now have of kayaking early morning on this beautiful lake or water fights late afternoon. The Maine cottage couldn't have been anymore perfect. We didn't personally meet our host, but communication was great and everything we needed was provided. We would definitely go back but stay a lot longer!
