Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The complex the condo was located was pretty secluded and just steps away from the beach, which was nice. Upon entering the condo we noticed a musty smell that is typical in older units. The front door was rubbing on the floor which made it hard to open. The floors were not clean at all with sand and hair clearly visible. My wife swept the floor first thing which is not how you want to start a vacation, but we were just going to let it go. The layout was a little awkward, especially the two adjoining bathrooms. The washer and dryer were in a closet in the bath/shower area, and the other closet had no door and the paint looked unfinished. Later we discovered the refrigerator was not cooling properly- to the point we put our milk in a bowl of ice inside the fridge. When it was time to lay down we also discovered the tv in the master didn’t work. This is when I had enough and texted the property manager. The manager responded the next day and offered to have the cleaning service come back out, which we declined. She did have maintenance come look at the tv and he went and got us a new one. The refrigerator eventually cooled down better, enough to deal with. Overall not a great experience in a unit that the pictures were quite deceiving.

The location of this property is perfect. Close to everything. Beach is beautiful and right there, only steps away. Beach service is not explained in advance, reservations are necessary. Unit was clean except for floors. Garbage disposal does not work. A lot of noise from upstairs. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will come back!

Everyone there was friendly and beach wasn't as crowded as other areas. Well maintained building, unit updated, nice light and bright decor. Kitchen well stocked and condo had everything we needed. Comfortable beds and plenty of room for 3 of us. Management was attentive and helpful, easy to deal with. Pictures are accurate and would stay again.

A week long stay wasn’t long enough! The location was wonderful! We went during the busiest time of the year (July 4th), and most days the beach was not busy at all! We had wonderful weather with white sand and clear waters the entire stay. The pool was also not crowded! It was easy access to get groceries at Winn Dixie which was right down the street, and we picked up souvenirs at Surf Style which was even closer. It’s a short 10 min drive to Destin to enjoy all of the entertainment there as well. The condo itself was just as pictured. It was very nice and clean and had a great view! The beds and couch were comfy, and the kitchen was well stocked.

We will be coming back! Very comfortable & clean. It is a great location... close to everything.. restaurants, shopping, boat rentals etc. Owner is accessible and helpful! 2 Beach chairs/umbrella included daily.

The Master bed was very comfy which is always a plus for me. The view was absolutely perfect and it was a breeze getting to the pool and beach. Much closer than other places we've stayed. Great beach setting, condo was clean and well stocked kitchen. Nothing fancy just a good place to say with great beach view. The upfront information and detail was 1st rate. Every thing we needed to know was sent in a timely manor. Totally enjoyable.

I cannot say enough about 311 Windancer! The condo was perfect in every way. It was immaculate in cleanliness and in the best location. It was well stocked with all the basic necessities toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap, detergent for washers, clean towels, Mini shampoos and conditioners and lotions, soap etc. The condo also provided a bunch of family friendly DVD movies to enjoy along with puzzles and games. Donna was excellent in communication and very accommodating. She texted me a few times to make sure we’re doing ok! Brandon who is in charge of the beach chair service was OUTSTANDING!!! We absolutely loved him! Overall, great service and great condo! Can’t wait to book again! 5 Stars!!!!!

Bathroom set up is good with two separate toilet/vanity rooms and separate laundry/shower room. The pictures and descriptions were very accurate, thus i give a 5 star rating as it is what i expected. The beach chair services is very handy and the attendant is a nice and friendly guy. Best sand beach i have ever experienced. Note, you need to bring your own laundry detergent as there are none in the unit (would be nice if they provided it) and no salt/pepper. Kitchen is well stocked but no spices.

This is a very nice property tucked away on a side street . It is close to Highway 98, and right on the beach. The beach and view are beautiful, and the condo was perfect for the two of us. It was comfortable and nicely decorated. We each had a sink and commode and shared a shower. We would highly recommend.

Loved the property, view was beautiful. Would suggest additional info regarding the elevator in the listing. Tenants upstairs were loud but I enjoyed my stay.

We enjoyed our stay in this condo. The location of the complex is nice, you don’t hear any traffic from scenic 98. The complex was very clean. The beach guys were very tentative. I even saw a beach guy help an elderly man walk back up from the beach, very heart warming. The only complaint I had was the washer/dryer was pretty old. The washer sounded like I plane taking off. I never did laundry in the evening trying to be considerate of the folks below us. The loveseat in the living room was very comfy and the large screen tv was very nice. For us the chair in the living room was not so comfy. The furniture on the balcony is comfy and we enjoyed the balcony quite often. Overall we had a great vacation, we wished we would of stayed 2 weeks.

Easy rental, check in, facilities nice, had issues with internet, but I happens, mgmt tried to keep us informed and it was the whole property, so I wouldn’t let that keep me from renting again.

We have stayed in three different units at Windancer and this one is by far our favorite. The listing is very accurate…it was clean, decorated very tastefully, and the amenities were excellent. Like with all Windancer units, the included beach service is a huge plus too…and tipping the attendant on the first morning always ensures you get taken care of. ;) We will definitely be back in 311 again next year!

Best condo I’ve stayed at in Destin

We’ve stayed at the Windancer for 30 years and this is one of the best condos we’ve booked. It was very clean and updated and had one of the better stocked kitchens I’ve experienced. And it’s stocked with quality stuff not just the cheapest stuff they could find. We would definitely book this condo again.

Love this building. The cleaning was lacking. The mattress was HORRIBLE. We contacted the property manager and they did nothing to help. Don’t stay here if you care about sleep or your back 😬

Overall excellent. Accept was a little tough to sleep with people above us up all night.
