This was our third time staying at Summer Haven and we hope to be back many more times! The house itself is extremely well appointed and comfortable. The fire pit and porch are wonderful for sitting out and enjoying the birds and other nature sounds. And the location is unbeatable, with an easy walk down to the Cedar Mountain Canteen (with regular live music), distillery, and cafe. And a short drive gets you to Dupont state forest with everything that has to offer, or to Whistlestop Market for fresh local produce, grocery staples, and other goodies. I highly recommend Summer Haven!!

This property was AMAZING!! Everything was perfect! The cabin was exceptionally clean and in a nice cozy spot. We were only about 15 minutes from The Pretty Place Chapel and the same distance from Brevard, which is the cutest place with great food! We will definitely stay here again!

Summer Haven was exactly what we were looking for in a vacation rental. The cabin was beautiful with all of the amenities you need. This location is very quiet, private, and in the small community of Cedar Mountain. We especially enjoyed the close proximity to Pisgah National Forest and Brevard was only a short drive away. We hope to return again soon!

Great location for us, close to Brevard and Hendersonville. Out in the country but close enough to places to go. Was able to walk to coffee truck, Canteen, and cafe from cabin (all which were great) and main road was right there when we wanted to drive somewhere. Very peaceful location and everything you need for your stay. Look forward to staying again.

Very nice house with everything we needed (except ice maker was acting up!). So quiet and peaceful! Just what we needed. Husband enjoyed riding and we were able to see some waterfalls and beautiful weather! Definitely would like to come again :)

I rented this property to celebrate a few birthdays in our group and we had a great time. The cabin was perfect for us and the owner was nice. Despite the chilly weather, we had an awesome trip, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything went.

This is a great house. Home was very clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with all pots, pans, utensils... everything. We hiked at the parks all day and it was nice to get back and cook a nice dinner and have everything needed. The owner communicates well, and the property and trails around it, including the Faith Chapel were charming. Our dog loved the long walks in the morning. Could not give it a better review. We were very pleased!

We stay in Brevard often and this might be our favorite spot. It's right next to the entrance of DuPont and is in a convenient and woodsy area of Cedar Mountain. The king bedroom is large and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The boys slept like rocks! It's in peaceful neighborhood right next to a lovely outdoor church. We were very happy. It just has a good feeling!

We really enjoyed our stay at Summer Haven. It was just as described. Quiet neighborhood yet secluded enough to enjoy being outdoors around the fire without disturbing anyone. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped also. We will definitely visit again if in the area.

Everything was great. Close to three state parks. The owner was great and very responsible. We now plan to come this time every year.

We had a dog with us so we loved the privacy of this house. It was in the woods and no one could hear our dog bark. We loved taking walks in the area and it was a great location to both Brevard and DuPont State Forest. The house was clean and had everything you would need for a vacation.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here at Summer Haven. The home was immaculately clean upon our arrival. The furniture and cottage were spacious and very comfortable. It is conveniently located to Pisgah National Forest, Brevard, and Hendersonville. However, and perhaps best, it is nearly adjacent to Dupont National Forest. The land around is beautiful and relaxing. The wrap around deck always offers a shaded perch to sit outside and enjoy nature. We had a wonderful stay and hope to book again.

This is our second stay at Summer Haven. It is the cleanest VRBO property we’ve ever stayed at. It is temperature regulated as well so no mold issues. There are plenty of basics to start off your week and lots of info in the binder. Any convenience you could need is there and Melinda is always very responsive. Cedar Mountain is fairly isolated but there are a few small cafes right there. The deck is the perfect place to sit and read or drink coffee.

Summer Haven is quiet, relaxing & has all the amenities that you'll need. The location for hiking DuPont, Pisgah & a stones throw to SC parks is awesome. 10/10.

The cottage was very clean and accommodating. We enjoyed the location especially the Cedar Cafe and the Velvet Cup. The location also provides quick access to hiking, picnicking and sight seeing. The weather was interesting in the early weeks of August. It rained daily and had frequent thunder with storms. If you bring your dog that is afraid of storms, think twice. We felt a slight level if intimidation with all the rules and restrictions. I realize there is a need for the restrictions, but I find it a little over the top.

We loved being so close to Dupont State Forest, just a 7minute drive and we were hiking and/or trail running. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the fire pit, it has been a long time since we made s'mores.

The house is very nice and well appointed. The owner answered all inquiries promptly. We really enjoyed the house and the Cedar Mountain area. The setting for the home is very picturesque with a moss lawn. We enjoyed the fire pit and appreciated that wood was provided. Unlike other properties we’ve stayed in, the kitchen had all the kitchen tools needed to prepare our meals. We highly recommend this property.

We definitely enjoyed out visit to Summer Haven. Great location close to Dupont for hiking and biking! Well equipped and spotless home in the woods made for a relaxing week! Can't wait to get back there for another retreat from the heat and to relax.

The property is very private and feels isolated from the hustle and bustle, but is not far from small town eating establishments and outdoor recreation. This was our second time staying at this property and the owners are very accommodating. We enjoyed a nice quiet week with a few day trips to Brevard. We are already planning our third trip to this property next year.

We didn't use the televisions but the Wi-Fi was good and could even be picked up outside. We also had cell service most of the time on the property. A great house, a great experience. We look forward to returning.
