Vrbo had advertised this property was in more in a "wood like setting", however this property is right in the city. We were not disappointed as the home was very nice.

This property is located close to downtown for shopping and dinner. It is driving distance to Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Black Elk Peak, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave and hiking/paddling. This was the perfect location for us and the kitchen was a great plus.

We found this cute cabin perfect for our group trip to enjoy riding to all the destinations in South Dakota. Bonus that it was easy walking eateries and stores. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Close to downtown. Nice little house. Hard to find out first but was probably due to my GPS. Perfect location to experience the sights.

It was a clean and cute home. Adorable decorations made it feel cozy. Comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. There were even game boards and cards. The steps down to the bedrooms had motion lights that kept you safe when dark. It was close to many attractions which made it so handy and a half a block from a DQ! I really enjoyed my stay.

The property was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We were close to everything as well, so very convenient! One thing to note for folks with mobility issues is that the bedrooms are downstairs.

This great little house was just perfect to share with the big house next door. We had 12 people so it worked out just great for all of us to eat together have have a couple on the patio. The house is walking distance from everywhere in downtown custer. We had a great stay!

This property is perfect for 2 to 4 people in 2 bedrooms. The stairs are carpeted and that makes them easy to navigate. We used the outside walkway and back door to bring in our suitcases. I’m fussy and would have liked newer bath mats. Location wise - it was perfect. Thanks, Julie!!

Location is excellent for all the activities and sights Custer has to offer. Lots of tourism in this area so plan your trip carefully and in advance. The home has everything you need. The bedrooms, bathroom and laundry are downstairs. Keep this in mind if you have challenges with mobility. You will find the home clean and the beds comfortable. I especially like the ability to do some laundry during the visit. The host has great communication.

We enjoyed staying and our time in the black hills! The house was a great place to land in the evening after a day out! Only complain would be air conditioner had a hard time keeping up, but opened windows at night. Except one bedroom that didn’t have a screen on the window!

Terrific & well maintained place to stay in Custer SD; reasonably close to several National Parks & Monuments. Convenient walking distance to many places for food & drink.

We had a group of 5 friends who stayed in Custer to bike ride on the Mickelson trail. The cottage was a little difficult to find, but Julie was available and we quickly found it. Julie also warned us that it only has 2 bedrooms. One of our party slept on the rollout bed and it worked just fine. We had everything we needed there, was a block from the main drag and great shopping and options for food. Not far from Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake, Mt. Rushmore, great hiking and biking. Will definitely go back.

We did have one person with really bad knees so stairs were a problem for her.We were here off season so restaurants were not all open. The brewpub right across the street, Pounding Fathers, was open and the food was really good. Best chicken wings! Lots of cute shops. We went to Krulls(?) In Hill city for groceries. There is a cute little market in town, but really pricey. Also a Family Dollar is very convenient right across the street. We did lots of day trips, Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse are very close. Hill Citys 1880 train was a nice trip. We took a day and went to the Fish hatchery in Spearfish and then up to Devils Tower in WY. Very nice trip.

This house was small, but very clean and had all the necessities. As a note, the bedrooms are downstairs and there is one television. The location to everything is very convenient. The owners were very responsive regarding details. It is a great place for anyone sightseeing all day.

This place is great, right in town so you can walk pretty much anywhere in Custer. Nice and quiet, clean, tons of amenities. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful home base for our vacation! We were able to explore the Black Hills and return to the cottage. Loved that it was located in Custer and we could walk to shops and restaurants.

Very clean, a quiet location even though it was a block off the Main Street. Well stocked kitchen. Owners a text away with a quick response. Small but good floor plan. Decorated delightfully.
