Wonderful week on a beautiful lake ... lots of fishing and family fun for 3 generations!

The house is full of old charm and the property is secluded. The support team was readily available and helpful. Great time in a fantastic setting.

We had the best week at Gott Farm! We utilized the main house, camp house and studio, all 3 were clean and had everything we needed. Property is perfect for yard games which we did every night. Property managers were very responsive and easy to work with. We will definitely be back! ;)

We were a late booking, maybe 3-4 weeks, prior to our visit so I was naturally apprehensive as to why the property was available. Whatever the reason, it was a blessing to my family and me. We have extended family that lives in the area and they were able to comfortably visit , BBQ, play whiffle ball, swim and just lounge in the peaceful breezes of Androscoggin Lake. The house instantly reminds you of an old English cottage but has plenty of space inside. The house was allocated with enough amenities to cook for our group and our visitors. There were plenty of games, sports gear (whiffle ball was awesome and played by all). What I cannot say enough about is the peace and quiet the location provided. When the loons broke the silence, it brought a smile and for folks that have never vacationed in Maine, you get used to it pretty quickly. Our host and the management team were helpful leading up to our visit with recommendations (must go to Tubby's for ice cream and lobster rolls!) and Hildie was very helpful showing us around the property. I cannot say enough how lucky we were to come across this property and I would stay there again without hesitation. Thank you again.

Our family of my husband and I and our 3 children ages 19, 18 and 11 years had a wonderful time at this piece of perfection , the Gott Farm, in Wayne Maine on Androscoggin Lake! The description is spot on! 12 acres of peaceful bliss - lake frontage with dock and separate camp house on water plus the main house with original 200 yo beams and wide plank wood floors, fully stocked kitchen, comfy rooms to read and play games, tv , great Wi-Fi , and a spotless/?new outdoor grill with back deck , 3 bedrooms in main house with clean sheets, 2 bathrooms with more clean towels than a hotel - who could ask for more? We canoed, paddle boarded , kayaked and swam every day in the beautiful clean lake (local boating place delivered the canoe and paddle board to us and we brought our kayaks) and we ate delicious baked goods and sandwiches from the awesome bakery at the General store in Wayne - went strawberry picking plus hiked Mount Pisga! Overall beautiful setting, spectacular comfortable clean house, a peaceful beautiful setting , and clear refreshing clean water! Who could ask for more? Also the owners and caretaker were so responsive with questions I had - like immediately ! Oh I almost forgot there were fresh cut beautiful flowers awaiting us and a loaf of yummy sourdough rye bread and chocolate chip cookies from the local bakery also awaiting us when we arrived as well as Hilde the wonderful kind caretaker who met us and showed us everything ! Seriously I will want to go back again and again !

Beautiful lake setting providing an opportunity for a multi generation family vacation... The fishing and lake view were spectacular!

Our Intentions Group wanted a setting of serenity. and privacy, inspiring vistas, and accommodations for nine adults. This is the only place that met all of our requirements—but if there had been 100 other choices we would have chosen this one hands down. We couldn't have asked for more from an excellent host and the beautiful surroundings of Gott's Farm on Androscoggin Lake for our October gathering. The farmhouse itself—with its old wood beam ceiling and farm table for 10—was warm an inviting from the moment we walked in. The kitchen was completely outfitted, the layout was spacious, the couches were comfy and well situated for group talking, and there was a cord of wood for the wonderful stove in the middle of the room. We'll be booking this one for years to come.

We grew up on the lake and our family and friends are all in the area. The property is just beautiful with sunset views and long views of the lake from the top of the rocks. The kitchen is well stocked and the owners are delightful. Enjoyed many card games around the big kitchen table. Provided us with more than everything including hand made bug spray! :) Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a great two-week stay! We were looking for a private lake retreat and it's exactly what we got. The house is very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen, nice grill, great beds and linens, and lots of games and other amenities. We have several family members with allergies and this was the best lake rental we've ever been to in terms of mustiness. The property is beautiful and provided lots of space for kids to frolic. We had several epic croquet tournaments. And the blueberry bushes were a delicious surprise. The sunsets are amazing with islands in the foreground and mountains in the background! We had many friends with children come in and out over the two weeks and everyone enjoyed their stay. We made use of the camp and the studio, both have great views of the lake. Tom, the property manager, went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable. And WAP John, the owner, was also available for any questions. It was clear that they wanted us to have a fun, carefree time, which we very much appreciated. And the pie on arrival was most welcoming! With small children and grandparents visiting, we wished that the lake access was easier. There's a steep decline to the lake, and then a rocky spot before you reach the dock. The shoreline is also rocky. We rented several kayaks and a SUP and had some difficulty getting them in and out of the water. Water shoes are a must here! Also of note, the dock will not support a boat. Tubbies and the General Store both make great sandwiches, and the Farmer's Market on Saturdays, although small, was fantastic. Hannaford's is only 15 minutes away. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Gott Farm immensely!

The house is very old, but it is modern and very comfortable. The kitchen is particularly well-appointed, with a full complement of dishes, pots and pans, and even an extensive array of spices. The grounds surrounding the house are extensive, and very beautiful and serene. My wife and I stayed in the "camp", while children and grandchildren stayed in the house. The camp, which is a short distance from the house, is rustic (electricity but no running water), and is perched on a ledge right over the lake, with a spectacular view of lake and woods. We loved staying there. Tom, the local manager, was friendly and very available. When the coffee maker stopped working he brought a replacement within the hour, accompanied by a jar of home-made salsa. The only challenge we experienced during our stay was that access to the lake was tricky, due to a steep descent to the dock. The owner is aware of this, and has plans to upgrade access before the 2019 season.

We were completely captivated by Gott Farm - from its private location to the spectacular lake, the charming camp, and the lovely, historic, and lovingly restored and decorated farmhouse. The kitchen contains every single accoutrement needed to prepare every meal, the living spaces are comfortable and homey, the bathroom is spacious and convenient, perfect for a big family. The outdoor spaces are plentiful and afford gorgeous views. We loved the village of Wayne, and the people there were so friendly, helpful, and kind. The General Store has amazing pastries and muffins, and we found wonderful treasures in Bittersweet Antiques. We highly recommend renting a boat to explore the islands of Lake Androscoggin, especially Norris Island with its black sand beach! We particularly appreciated the owners’ meticulous and detailed notebook of instructions, general info, recommendations, and background of their beautiful property, not to mention a homemade “welcome blueberry pie” when we arrived. We loved our stay at Gott Farm! The property is beautiful, the home cozy and well stocked, and the hosts very welcoming and responsive. We enjoyed playing on peaceful Androscoggin Lake and walking into Wayne for treats!

The house and grounds were beautiful. The town was lovely and everyone was so freindly! There was plenty of room for our three grown children son in law and new grandchild. I hope a new tradition has just begun!

Our family enjoyed a comfortable and relaxing week at Gott Farm! It was perfect for children, parents, and grandparents! Plenty of room to spend quality time together. Beautiful surroundings, quiet, cool weather. A tree swing that was a huge hit!! Comfortable house with open floor plan that kept everyone connected. Super, spacious laundry/bathroom upstairs that made life easier. The separate cabin was also a special, beautiful place to go and enjoy the beauty of the lake. The blueberry picking was fantastic!! We all thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend to any families wanting to have a special experience together. Many wonderful memories were made this past week. I cannot wait to see the book of pictures that our daughter-in-law will put together filled with all our memories of the week! Special thanks to Dwain and W.A.P. As someone who spends about 10 weeks a year traveling around the world, I can say with confidence that if you're looking for a place to just tune out and take it easy, this is the place! It is also very comfortable and surprisingly convenient. The location on the lake was just right. Loved the green space for lots of games. The tree swing was a bonus for all our kids. Between the camp and the house, we had plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 children. We all took turns sleeping in the camp so we could enjoy the sounds of the lake water and loons. We also particularly appreciated all the toys, kitchen equipment and staples that were made available for us. In many cases, it seems that they were brand new and purchased just for our convenience. We had thought we would do lots of adventures, while basing ourselves in Wayne, but then it turned out that we enjoyed the house and the grounds so much, we ended up spending every day just playing in the water or hanging out around the house. We also loved the enormous variety of books that we could peruse. All in all, it was such a great time and we only wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks to Dwain and Hildie for taking good care of us!

This is the second year I have rented the Gott Farm house. It's a beautiful old farmhouse that has all of the modern amenities you need. The house was very clean upon check in - which is very important to me. It's a steep hike down to the water but everybody made the trip without incident. I rented a pontoon boat from Beacon Boat Rentals and was able to arrange a mooring at the local yacht club by purchasing a $95 annual membership. Wayne is very quaint and the Gott Farm is a perfect place to stay when you are there.

We had 2 generations who all grew up on the lake. It was wonderful to visit friends and family. The home was well stocked with spices, pots, cooking pans, food wraps, etc. The home had games and books and the beds and bedding were excellent. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We look forward to our next visit!

The house and cabin and located on a beautiful lake and are very private. The property is located in a beautiful private setting with wonderful views of the lake. The owner was very helpful with advance information, such as where to rent kayaks. The local caretakers were there to meet us when we arrived, and gave us a tour of the property. They live nearby and were very helpful.

This property is very privately situated on lake androscoggin. For a family reunion or just a get away you could not ask for more. Our family loved it and is looking forward to going back. Everything you could need is there!

Our family reunion of 20 was a total success! Gott farm was as relaxing and idyllic as all the pictures we saw before arriving. It was absolutely perfect for all ages.. from the toddler set to the young adults and seniors. The house was so open and roomy and accommodated all of us for many memorable dinners and get-togethers. The little kids had plenty of room to explore and ride their bikes, swing on the tree swing, play with toys from the barn, and even eat blueberries and blackberries that grew wild on the property. The view of the lake with its quiet setting was just magical. We have all taken away wonderful memories of our time spent together at Gott Farm and cannot thank you enough for allowing us to share your little slice of heaven!

My partner and I had twins 7 weeks ago, and our stay at Gott Farm was our first trip away from home with them (to attend an annual family gathering very nearby). Based on the pictures on this site, we had a sense that we'd enjoy the property, but were completely blown away when we arrived. Even the driveway -- lined with large oaks (?), some of which must date back to the farm's earliest days -- is magical! The house is delightful. It's immediately clear that an incredible amount of pride and energy has been put into restoring what was possible to restore, and improving what needed improvement, all the while maintaining the integrity and purity of the house. So often, folks destroy these old homes, but call it "renovating." Not here. The "camp" (cabin) is wonderful as well. It's a very comfortable space, perched right directly at the water's edge, with a serene, expansive view of the water. And the light that floods this space all day is amazing. It'd be easy to overlook the incredible detail that's gone into maintaining the grounds, too, because it all appears quite consistent with the natural landscape, but you'll very much appreciate the obvious level of care paid to maintaining the grounds. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say: if you're looking for a private, charming, peaceful escape, look no further. We can't wait to return...

An amazing six days exploring the beautiful Kennebec region, enjoying wonderful Wayne Maine, and the very special Gott Farm!

The Gott Farm is a magical place in Maine. Comfortable house with every amenity possible, completely outfitted kitchen and a wonderful camp on the shores of Lake Androscoggin. Sunsets were amazing, what a wonderful place to forget the pace of the city. Don't miss it.

This gem of a property is wonderfully suited for a family gathering in a quiet, beautiful setting. Lake Androscoggin is quite beautiful and peaceful. The "camp" is a small cabin detached from the main house; it overlooks the lake and was a good spot for listening to the loons! The home is well furnished and appointed and true to the photos; and there is lots of room outdoors for games, etc. The town of Wayne is charming and a short distance away, while the coast and mountains are about an hour away. I would definitely recommend this property!

I was lucky enough to stay at the camp. Absolulty perfect...just as it was described above. We just loved waking up on the lake and having a quiet cup of coffee before joining the rest of the family. We were there over the 4th of July. Nearby there was a fun parade, along with a farmers market (nothing better than fresh peas), art galleries and the opportunity to head to the coast. There were great gathering spaces inside and out the main house. Truly a magical place.

We wanted the traditional feel of New England - a place to read, walk, and reflect for our family gathering. The Gott Farm House and grounds filled the bill. The setting seems spacious and intimate at the same time with plenty of trees and a terrific lake view. The House and camp were clean well-maintained. W.A.P. and Julie aimed to please. Thank you!
