Initially, we were excited about our stay, but then I had to email the owner to ask her a question. I was very respectful in my ask, and her response was rude and condescending. I attempted to find another place to rent but was unable due to our trip being 2 weeks away. Upon arrival, she gave very thorough instructions via message and then told us she would be there to give us a tour. We declined the tour and arrived at the house with no issue. Approximately 30 minutes after we arrived she knocked on the door and then when we didn’t answer immediately, she opened the door and yelled into the house. We were shocked that she would just let herself in and it made us very uncomfortable. We then found out that she stays on the property in a space above the garage watching your every move. She told me about the parking situation five times and gave very clear instructions. We arrived to the house one evening and she came outside to indicate that she didn’t like where I was parked, although I was following her directions. It was very controlling and again, uncomfortable. Her presence put everyone on edge as it felt like she was waiting for you to break one of her rules so that she could come and comment on it. The overall home is nice and accommodated us well, but her presence is unsettling and made the trip uncomfortable.

We had a lovely time here! It is a large place - perfect for my husband and I, our four kids (each got their own bedroom), and my parents (and our dog). We came down for a few days to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday. It is a great central location for exploring Carmel and Monterey, and for escaping to sunshine from the fog along the coast. We had fun going for walks / runs in the neighborhood (seeing deer and turkeys) and at Garland Ranch Regional Park. Cindy was an amazing attentive hostess, met us shortly after we arrived at the property and was available for any questions we had. We spent a lot of time sitting outside under the trees playing board games. It was lovely - would definitely recommend it to others.

Great to have bedrooms for all 6 women on a tennis getaway. Home was comfortable and conveniently located near Carmel Village and Tennis facility. Host was very responsive to our requests and the kitchen was well stocked for our cooking and dining needs.

Had 7 adults and infant at this wonderful home for Carmel wedding. 6 separate rooms for sleeping and several comfortable sitting areas with 2 eating areas. Would stay again!

Owners were very attentive. There were 8 senior friends on this stay. Property was comfortable and worked out very well for all of us.

Had our son’s birthday at the aquarium and this location was a perfect getaway for the weekend. So warm, welcoming, and loaded with accommodations: bbq, dishes, pots, beds, coffee, (more) and breathtaking views. Thank you!
