Enjoyed private yard but no walking paths. Busy road, cannot walk to park. Cottage needs cleaning on outside and there is a strong mildew smell in entrance by kitchen.

Our stay at this cozy house was magical. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene surroundings and the rustic feel of the house. The location is perfect for a peaceful getaway – surrounded by the trees and in a close proximity from the lake. The house itself is thoughtfully furnished with all the comforts of home. We particularly loved the large windows that allowed us to feel connected to nature at all times. One of the highlights of our stay was the outdoor space. We spent mornings sipping coffee on the porch, listening to the birds sing, and afternoons kayaking on the lake. The private dock was a wonderful feature, providing a perfect spot for dining & relaxing. Overall, this house is a gem. It offers the perfect blend of comfort, seclusion, and natural beauty.

This stay was so perfect! My mom, a friend, and I all got together right before school started up just to get a break from our busy schedules and get a breather together. We spent a whole day at the dunes and another downtown New Buffalo--the location was perfect! We were able to drive easily to New Buffalo straight down the main road, and had the dunes themselves almost directly across the street. The house was so nice and comfortable and, with the addition of having grocery stores conveniently nearby, we were able to enjoy lowkey nights cooking dinner and watching movies. It was the perfect stay!

We loved our stay at the Breezy Knoll Cottage! My husband, 2 children and I stayed for 3 nights and thought it was the perfect size for us. My kids loved the bunk beds and swing, my husband loved the fire pit and I loved making memories with my family! We did have trouble with the internet speed at first but one message to the owner was all it took to fix that - Sara replied within minutes (even on a Sunday morning!) and worked diligently to correct the issue. We were very grateful to her for that! She was also incredibly helpful on recommendations in the area for things like groceries and firewood. The only things we’d like to suggest they consider for future guests - curtains in the bedrooms (the blinds do not block out much light at all!) and the bed in the main bedroom is not very comfortable. Also, the front walkway has a few boards that were very “soft” and dipped when walking on them, like there might not be ample support under some of them. Overall, we loved our stay and would be delighted to return if we find our way back to the St. Joseph & Warren Dunes area of MI!

The cottage is fantastic for a vacation at the beach. Almost directly across from Warren Dunes entrance so getting to the beach was easy and accessible. The swing in the front yard was a tremendous hit with our 5 yo and 3 yo. It had all the amenities a house rental would need. It was clean, tidy and well kept. The 5 yo & 3 yo loved the bunk beds too and the master bedroom was spacious enough for the portable crib we brought for our baby. All in all, the next time we vacation at Lake Michigan, we’ll be trying to book this cottage.

No frills cabin. The property itself could use some upkeep inside and out. An overall gloomy dark, damp/moldy feel. Secluded lot surrounded by trees. Great proximity to Warren dunes state park & nearby quaint towns. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. No real mattress- just two thick memory foam toppers stacked on top of each other. No starter wood was provided for the fire pit- this would’ve been nice. We left the night before checkout to avoid having to sleep in the uncomfortable beds.

Perfect place for my family of 5 and furbaby! Tucked away in the woods, quiet and private, great fire pit, amenities were great and owners very responsive to our very minor issues we had during our stay. Two minutes from Warren Dunes State Park and about 35 minutes from Indiana Dunes National Park, would recommend to families with pups! Thanks to Chad for coming over immediately when issues arose.

The cabin was super easy to check into, close enough to I 94 and easy to find. It’s close to Warren Dunes state park, some other attractions and good food. Sara is an amazing host and super helpful. The place was super clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower has amazing pressure. Great place. Would recommend and stay again if I’m in the area.

My daughter and i stayed for a long fathers day weekend. We absolutely loved it and would definately go back! The place was real homey and loved the privacy and how close it was to the warren dunes. 5 stars!

This was our first VRBO experience and it exceeded all expectations! The cottage was meticulously clean; plenty of towels for our family; the hosts were very communicative whenever we had questions; it was just a quick drive to the beach: and I could go on and on. We loved it!

We had a great time here. The home is tucked away surrounded by trees. It was spring and the tulip trees were blooming. There were lots of birds. Very close (1.3miles) to the beach. Great place, would recommend

We love the woods surrounding this cottage and all the wildlife—turkeys, raccoons, deer, bats, and spiders! Nice deck for card games, fire pit for evenings. This is a cozy older cottage for a couple or small family. We will be back next summer!

We would definitely stay at this property again, but the bed is so uncomfortable. My husband is very tall, and the bed is too small. The mattress is uncomfortable. Other than that, the cottage is a perfect size for our wants and needs.

This was our first time to Warren Dunes and this house was very close to the State Park. We enjoyed the privacy of the lovely wooded yard and saw deer several times in the woods around the property. The owner was very helpful when we had questions, including once when we accidently got locked out. My grandkids enjoyed the pool table in the basement and the tallest tree swing we'd ever seen.

Great, rustic, house in the woods. All the amenities of home. Just off the main highway and minutes from local farmers market, butcher, and Warren Dunes State Park. Several towns close by with restaurants, breweries, etc. great experience.

We really liked this cottage for a quick getaway. It could use a bit of sprucing up, but you can’t beat it for the price. It met our needs very well. We found a great beach spot about 5 minutes away on Cherry Beach Rd. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, but it was fine. The bunk beds were great for our teenage girls. They also loved the tree swing. The linens were clean and so was the tub, sink and fridge. The grill was a bit rough, but I just put foil on it so no big deal. We had a good meal right down the road at D’Agostino’s Navajo Grill. Also, Capozios pizza was great! We enjoyed this place and would definitely stay again!

Private home surrounded by beautiful tall trees. The location is perfect for heading to the dunes. It's just across the street. Also a central location for touring wineries. Came to get away from work and the bustle of school and sports with my kids. It was relaxing, quiet, and just what we needed.

This little cottage was the perfect size for our small family of four (two toddlers). It's located just minutes from the beach/state park as well as a lot of great restaurants, breweries and neighboring towns. During the warm days, we spent a good amount of time at the beaches, but on the cold days, we were still able to enjoy the outdoors at the property's fire pit. Low stress, a decent amount of outdoor space, and just big enough to fit a couple rascal kids. All in all, it was a perfect place for a city escape.

This is so close to everything! Easy on and off of 94. Shops,food, hiking and the lake. Right next to Warren Dunes and 15 minutes or so from casino at New Buffalo. Cottage was clean and cozy but still spacious enough to not feel cramped. Very large yard. Saw lots of deer and wild turkeys! Perfect for what we wanted.
