Sounds Good was a beautiful home! It had everything we needed especially for our 1 year old grandson crib high chair etc.. The pool and hot tub were amazing. We had everything we needed for the beach too. Everything is well stocked and the house was super clean. Kelly really made our stay nice with her quick response to any questions and her great input and suggestions! I felt like she was a friend even though we didn't meet face to face! We will definitely stay again when we visit the Outer Banks!

The house was fully equipped and large enough for our party of 8 to stay comfortably for a week. The location was great - across the street from the sound and a leisurely 6 minute walk from a beautiful, uncrowded beach. We also enjoyed the private pool and bikes!

Sounds Good is a beautiful home with every convenience. It was perfect for our group of six adults and two children. My adult children really enjoyed the hot tub and pool table and we all enjoyed having our own private pool. We had plenty of room and the kitchen is very well stocked. Kelly (the owner) was great with communications prior to our trip and during the week we were there. Her concern for our well being was a top priority which we really appreciated. You won't be disappointed if you choose Sounds Good.

Fantastic time in a great place.

The home was perfect for our two active families and the weather was just beautiful the whole week. The beaches were within walking distance and the sound within a stone's throw from our rental. Lots to do in Duck and the surrounding towns were within a 30 minute drive. The nearby beaches were great to explore and the horses, lighthouses and shopping was nice family time. Can't wait to schedule our next vacation. We love OBX.

The property was nice and had everything we needed as a family with adults to an infant. Walk to the beach is not to far. Pool was nice to have as well.

We had a wonderful week staying at Kelly and Tom's home for our first OBX trip. We were able to spend time together in the large great room or playing pool and then each retreat to our separate spaces when we needed (teenagers). It's a quick walk to the beach, then when it got too hot we would head home and hang by the pool. Kelly and Tom were always available and provided great recommendations.

This was our first visit and trip using a rental like this. Can’t say enough about the property and the owners, Kelly was great to work with,(Tom was too )but Kelly was so responsive and full of info. More than anyone could ask for. The house felt like it was our home and not just a rental property. It was super packed with amenities and other owners have their work cut out to keep up with Tom n Kelly Wilkes. Definitely look forward to another trip like this.

We highly recommend staying at Sounds Good. The entire experience- from inquiring about the property, planning, and then staying was super easy. Kelly is an excellent host. The house had more than enough room for the 7 of us, an easy walk to the beach, and we loved the relaxed vibe of OBX. We were able to take advantage of the pool, hot tub, bikes, and extras- just needed a few more days to fit using the kayaks in too!

The house was perfect for our family. In addition to being a comfortable place to stay, the additional amenities were great. We took advantage of the bikes, beach chairs, and kayaks to get the most out of our vacation.

Probably the best rental experience we have ever had! House was so neat and tidy. This was our first trip to the Outer Banks and Kelly was extremely responsive to any questions. The house has every amenity you will need and we took full advantage - bikes, kayaks, pool, etc.

This place was perfect. The house was clean, spacious, and stocked with everything needed. Only a short walk to the beach, although a hot one some days, and a pool to relax at as well. The layout of the house is perfect. The owners are great and very responsive. Would easily choose to stay here again.

We truly enjoyed our week in this lovely, well equipped, and attractive beach house. I dislike having to give it only 4 stars for cleanliness as it was immaculate inside, but because of the areas infestation of midges and spiders,, the exterior entrances and balcony areas were not exactly clean,. Tom , very thankfully, was power washing most away when we arrived, but it was an arduous task and impossible to thoroughly clean the entire house in one attempt. We were able to ignore this and spent many fun filled hours in the pool and playing pool. We would definitely stay here again if we decide to return to Duck.

Our 2 families vacationed at Sounds Good Aug 10-17. The home was stocked with paper products, spices, bikes, boogie boards, a beach cart, and other amenities we didn't need to bring from home. With 4 kids (age 11 and 14), Sounds Good offered plenty of space for them (and us) to spread out, play pool, relax, or watch a movie. There are great board games available and we enjoyed a heck of a Monopoly game... I didn't win :-) The pool receives a lot of sun in the morning and mid-afternoon but goes all shade thereafter. The hot tub was a favorite location for the kids in between dips in the pool. Access to the wet bar from the pool was perfect for cold drinks, grilling, and a spot to watch the ball game while playing pool. The bedrooms were well laid out and decorated with great beach décor. After a short walk around the corner that dropped us right at the public access walkway we enjoyed the beautiful beach and warm water of Duck. Warning the sand is crazy hot in the afternoon! Access to the bay was across the street to the right where our guys loved to go fishing and chat with the locals about the art of crabbing. Sounds Good is minutes away from Corolla or the small town of Duck where shops, Duck Donuts, and rentals are available. Kelly (and Tom) were great to work with during our planning stages, prior to arrival, and throughout our stay. Their home is beautiful and offered us all we needed to enjoy our Duck vacation!

I rented this for my family, my sister and her family and our parents. 6 adults, 2 teens, a tween and an 8 year old - everyone had a GREAT week. The house is immaculately clean inside and well-equipped. It was such a treat to have paper products, spices and basic cooking supplies readily available. We especially loved the location, the pool, kayaks and pool table! Many hours were spent using all of them! The sound and beach access were convenient and I loved that we could so easily walk to either. Kelly was a pleasure to work with and so quick to respond to any and all questions I had. The only negatives are that the bikes were pretty well worn. 2 were fine for cruising around but 2 others had my husband concerned about using them. And the spiders outside were unbelievable! Although it could be the area, we saw many houses being power washed throughout our stay. It didn’t seem like the outside chairs or porches had been used for weeks when we arrived. After my brother in law and husband each spent hours cleaning webs off of the outside furniture and decks, and spraying for spiders, we could at least use the decks to dry our towels. All in all, it was a great week. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again! Thanks for an amazing family getaway!

We were overwhelmed by this amazing property and the kindness and graciousness of the owners, Kelly and Tom Wilkes. They made every effort to ensure our comfort and were never too busy to answer our questions. Their advice was invaluable. We had a relaxing and fun-filled week: there was something for everyone from the teenagers to the grandparents and all in between. We would highly recommend this venue to future guests.

Great property. Everything we needed. Plenty of room for the whole family. Loved the pool and hot tub. Teenagers really enjoyed kayaking in the sound and the separate game room off of the pool. Bike and walking trails right outside the door. Short drive to shops and restaurants. Highly recommend the short drive to Corolla for a Wild Horses Tour. Definitely want to come again.

The design of this house was perfect, with two living spaces and four bedrooms on the level below the kitchen and great room. That way when we put kiddos down for a nap and bedtime we did not have to stay quiet. The grandchildren loved the pool and it was nice that it was not in full sun all day. The beach access was right at the end of our street and the fishing dock close. My son in laws became quite the crab fishermen. The house is the perfect distance away from the actual town of Duck with its great shopping and restaurants. Tom and Kelly, the owners, answered any questions I had promptly. We have already booked our week for August 2019!!

My family ( 6 adults and a 10 month grandson) thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week vacation in this fabulous home. The owners, Kelly and Tom, were very thoughtful in making their home comfortable and inviting for all aged guests. The house has a well maintained hot tub, a pool with adult and children floats and pool games. The grill and pool furniture is top quality. They provided 2 nice kayaks and 4 well cared for bicycles. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and a beach cart were also provided. A crib, pack n play, high chair, baby gate, and lots of baby toys were a tremendous help so we didn't have to bother with bringing these necesities from home. The house is decorated nicly with lots of open space to gather with the entire family. The beds were very comfortable. There is a beautiful view of the sound and a short walk to the beach. The game room with a pool table,TV, and bar on the ground level was enjoyed very much. My family likes to cook and enjoy meals together. There is a large table so the entire family could sit together. There is plenty of quality cookware to prepare meals with nice dishes and glassware. An added bonus that you won't find at other rental properties were all the complimentary kitchen, bathroom, and paper products that were provided (Coffee, spices, paper towels, paper plates, toilet paper, trash bags, Solo cups, hand soap, laundry detergent, dish detergent, etc.). It is obvious that Kelly and Tom want their guests to truly have a wonderful vacation at the beach. Kelly responded almost immediately to any questions we had before we arrived and also after our arrival. Kelly also was very responsive and accommodating to special requests. I sincerely appreciate their efforts to make our stay a wonderful experience. They are the best owners.Thank you so much, Kelly and Tom!!!!

It was great to have 4 bikes there and not need to rent. More than enough chairs for all to enjoy decks and pool. The owners Kelly and Tom were readily available to answer question after we moved in, very customer oriented.

We booked this house for my in laws 40th wedding anniversary. When we all arrived the house was clean and very welcoming. There was even a thoughtful card for the anniversary. It is clear the owners love this home. Everything in kitchen and bathroom was well stocked. We did bring two small kids which was awesome because the bunk rooms were well prepared for that. We all were very happy to see that you dont hear much noise on the other floors. This house is very quiet. The downstairs bar was perfect for the guys to play pool and listen to music. The pool/hot tub were maintained throughout our stay which was great because thinderstorms did blow debris everywhere. The owners were extremely attentive to our needs and questions throughout our stay. Very sweet people. The best part of staying anywhere is feeling like you are welcome and that your stay is being valued. The beach is a very short walk. the wagon and bikes were life savers carrying stuff down. We will be coming back next year and are very excited about doing so. I highly recommend this house. We couldn't have asked for more. It had everything we could ask for!

My family and I enjoyed our stay. Having three nicely sized "master" bedrooms with private bathrooms worked great for us. The teenagers loved the sports lounge T.V.'s and playing billiards. The house was nicely stocked with paper supplies and kitchen items.

This beach house has a great floor plan. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We've stayed at houses before where a few people had to eat at the couch. So having 2 dining tables was a definite plus. Our teen boys made the lower level their home. They set up video games and played pool every evening. The 2nd refrigerator down stairs is always something that we look for in a rental. We never ran out of hot water when everyone was showering at the same time. The house was clean and the owners friendly/helpful. The walk to the beach was close and we made use of the owner's cart to haul chairs and umbrellas. I highly recommend this rental house.
