We enjoyed our stay in Montague! A few of us tried out the kayaks, we used the Adirondack chairs and fire pit one evening. The kids enjoyed using the swim rings. The cottage is close to the bike trail which made it an easy walk into the downtown area. We really appreciated the well equipped kitchen! Communication with the property owner was easy…we had a great week!

We we really enjoyed our stay and the house was perfect for out family. Besides being well equipped, it was very clean and in a very convenient location close to town. The only hiccup we had was that we brought a boat and a wave runner so we had two trailers. With multiple cars for our family and two trailers, there wasn't enough room for our larger trailer. Not realizing the driveway was so steep, I should have verified logistics of bringing multiple trailers with to the property. But overall, great stay and great host!

Great property with the proximity to White Lake with a dock. Owner was very prompt answering questions. Beds and amenities were fantastic. Highly recommend this property.

This property is very nice. It has great space for an extended family and was well stocked. It was a short drive to the beach/Medbury Park. We enjoyed being able to sit at the dock on the lake in the mornings. We used the fire pit and kayaks and walked with close trail access to get into town. Enjoyable week with plenty to do.

Perfect for my children and grandchildren to get together. Nice quality of bedding and towels, all the basics provided. We rented a pontoon and the dock was great. Also fishing from the dock.

Home was spacious and comfortable. Beautiful views. Comfortable beds located throughout.

The whole family had a wonderful time, from time on the water, to enjoying the open floor plan of the home. All the beds are very comfortable and the canopy of trees helped shade the rooms from the early morning sun.

Amazing Stay

We love this property and have stayed here many times. We have so many precious memories of boating, fishing, bike riding and sitting by the lake. The house is beautiful and Stephen provides all of the comforts of home. We highly recommend!

House is comfortable; host was easy to communicate with. Description is accurate. Property does have lake frontage; however, during our stay, it was not user friendly. There is not a sandy beach; algae was rampant and the geese are frequent visitors (and where there are geese, these is plenty of geese feces). This made it impossible to allow my grandkids to swim at the property. We made daily trips to local beaches, which was an unexpected added chore…but found the recommended beaches and other suggested attractions a fun outing. The deck is quiet and pleasant but quite a distance from the lake front. The steep drive was excellant daily exercise. And the surrounding neighborhood is nice for walking. Property lines are well defined and neighbors keep to themselves.

Location was ideal for quiet time together with family, but near beaches and entertainment for the kids!

Interior was gorgeous with spacious rooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was enjoyable for cooking and hosting. The backyard doesn’t have as much privacy as what the photos kind of led us to believe. But it is lake front and pretty. Neighbors houses and yards are right side by side. The dock was a little wobbly and since we didn’t have a boat or anything with us we didn’t use it that much. Would be a great place for someone who had a boat and wants to take it out to Lake Michigan.

It was an amazing house! Our family really enjoyed the house and the town!!! I recommend the sand dune rides!!!

Cannot say enough good things about this property. The host thought of, and provided, everything we could have needed. The kayaks were perfect for taking out on the lake. The yard was perfect for the kids to run around. Enjoyed smores at the fire pit. The inside is well kept and as advertised. Not a single complaint!

Parking primarily was at the top of the property and the house was Several yards away down a Steep incline. Not a big deal for us, but can be for older guests or people With ambulatory issues. Also there was no light above the kitchen table which made the room very dark at night. The lake was beautiful and the home was clean

I would recommend this house to others. It was very clean and tons of room. The bedrooms were perfect and big so we had plenty of room to spread out. The driveway was a little bit steep but we all enjoyed ourselves.

The house snd the dock are really nice. We have stayed at this property for the past 2 years. The owner is making updates every year. Only downside was we did not realize we were being videotaped with neighbors surveillance cameras. It just made our family vacation with grandsons a little weird.

If you enjoy biking on paved trails with no traffic, this is a great spot to stay. There is a nice view of the lake, but it does not have a beach or swimming area. There is a dock available for rental boats or one you bring and launch from a nearby ramp. Two Kayaks are included that can be launched from the dock. You also have access to the locked garage for storing your bikes, “toys”, and/or car. The location is convenient to Montague and White Lake downtowns, both by car and bike, and to several state parks and Lake Michigan beaches. The owner is a great host, quickly responding to questions.

The house is very well equipped. Updated kitchen has high quality appliances and cookware. Lake view is disappointing, very close to neighbors, who often had equipment in view. But the location is terrific for exploring the area. On different days we enjoyed three different state parks nearby for hiking and another day went kayaking on a river. A beautiful bike path starts within a few blocks of the house and a very large and complete grocery is within a mile. The host was very helpful both before and during our stay, answering questions and attending to any issues that arose.
