The house has everything you need and is very comfortable. The kitchen is also very well equipped and the backyard is a nice spot for lunch or dinner in good weather. Best of all is the location, which is very close to the path to the beach. We had a great week!

Had a Great time on this vacation! The house is a ranch style, a little older I believe but extremely well maintained Property has everything needed for a good time at the shore If you have children or grandchildren less worry with No stairs! Property owners communications and requests are both helpful and reasonable Would definitely recommend!

Great location, will visit again

Great house in the quiet town of Southern Shores, which is centrally located to many points of interest on the OBX. There was plenty of space for our party of 4. The house was clean with a well stocked kitchen, a large back yard and directly across from a path to the beach. The home was very cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

They have the accommodations for your needs. A functional garage, deep freezer, and yes, beds! Everything is as expected; clean living conditions, location accurately described, and easy communiciblilty. Thank you Fred... wherever you might be. You went above and beyond stocking that ocean prior to our visit! The fish mourning bell was a nice touch as well! Would stay every year... if only you were pet friendly!

Loved the close beach access across the street—the house was quiet even with some neighbors outside playing music ( though not in a bad way). Beds were comfy. Everything you need is there! Felt at home in the neighborhood.

We return year after year because this is a great property for our family. Love the open plan with cute screen porch and just across from walk over dunes to beach.

The best part of this house was its very close proximity to the beach-it’s truly just a walk across the front yard. The kitchen, baths and laundry were nicely cleaned but some attention is needed in the carpeted spaces. Kitchen was nicely stocked and great book and video selection. The sand spurs were a real problem and were impossible to not track in. All in all we had a lovely time in the outer banks.

This is our 4th stay in this home. Please see my earlier review for additional detail. I very much appreciate this home, the location and the owners. We are already talking about next summer.

Came for a quick spring break getaway with our 3 kids and it was perfect! Had everything we needed, very close to beach, and great communication with the owner!

Location can’t be beat. One lot back from the beach and adjacent to a beach access. The home is comfortably furnished with a well equipped kitchen and excellent tv/cable/internet. Host communication was clear and timely. We’ll definitely be back.

I have to admit, I get nervous when booking anything nonrefundable. Even though you have a plethora of detailed photos, you can only say the place looked like that at that one particular time the shots were taken. In this case, all photos proved true to form and that was quite pleasing to us! Our only downfall was all my fault. I failed to check the distance between our rental and my father's home which gave us an additional 40 mile drive each way of our 5 night stay. Having driven more than 1,500 miles to get there, you'd think I wouldn't even notice 40 x 2 x 5 miles more, but my entire body was screaming as I hobbled from the car to the front door! Thank the Newberrys that the accommodations were clean and quite comfortable. After the first night's sleep on an excellent mattress with perfect pillows we were able to kick it in gear and enjoy ourselves. Most of all, I will forever be grateful that I was able to see, touch, laugh and speak with my 92 year-old father one last time here on earth. On our way back to OK, I learned that Dad had taken a turn for the worse. Hospice is with him now. I can hardly wait to see him again!

This was our 3rd time staying here and it was wonderful as always. Ample room for our family of 4 and the proximity to the beach can't be beat. We also appreciate that there's plenty of space for cooking in the kitchen and the keyless entry means no keys to keep track of when we're out and about or on the beach.

We enjoyed it very much. The only issue I had was the previous guest I guess did not clean dishes very well but other than that it was great.

We love returning to this beach house. Just right for our family of 3 adult couples. Just across quiet road from beach access. Upgraded TV in LR, comfortable and clean.

Location, location, location! I can not emphasize this enough. The week we stayed here, there was abundant sunshine everyday with feels like temperatures between 100-107 F. It was definitely a beach week! (Although there were plenty of puzzles, games and TV if it had rained.) It was the first time my family (myself, my husband, daughters 22, 21 & 17) has stayed in the area and I was a little nervous after recent visits from friends and family members detailing the high volume of traffic in the Outer Banks. That was not the case at this charming house in Southern Shores. Southern Shores seems to be a mostly quiet area away from traffic and noise. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. We loved using the outside shower! We appreciated the boogie boards left for us in the garage. We did have one issue with a sink and Fred was very responsive and had it fixed before I returned from the beach for lunch. This property was such a great find! Thanks Fred!

We enjoyed our stay. Short walk to the beach. Great yard. The host was very responsive.

Nice place out if the way but still close to everything. Perfect for 4 - 6 people.

The place was very comfortable and beach access is just across the street. Only downside were the little burrs/prickly things outside that got dragged inside with us. I would advise taking shoes off at the door!

Excellent communication and property is very nice

We had a nice weekend and the house met our needs. If we rent another VRBO we will choose a place that includes linens.

Property is well maintained, perfect for three to 6 guests. Cozy well equipped kitchen; beautiful dining table and huge backyard Most of all very relaxing place to stay.

We teleworked and teleschooled right next to the beach. Every day at 3pm the kids and I went and bounced in the waves. All 4 of us used the internet with no noticeable slowdown. It was great.
