Beautiful house with everything we needed. Highlight for us was being on the waterfront, and watching the sunsets, table tennis and pool, and the friendly ducks who came to visit every day! Thank you Stephen for the stay. We hope we can visit again!

We had a wonderful family weekend away with three generations and the property suited us perfectly.
We had no luck with the weather as it rained for the entire weekend, but despite this, we still had plenty of things to do and enjoy.
We had many games to choose from and the pool table was a hit with young and old.
The kitchen was well equipped with all that we needed and more.
The beds were comfortable and the house is well presented. The view and setting outside is better than the photos and I imagine it would be stunning in dry/warmer weather, with even more for families to enjoy.
We had a query about the TV and the owner was very responsive and also allowed us a late checkout which was greatly appreciated.
Lovely weekend spent making memories with family.

Stayed for the Australia Day long weekend. A group of 11 people, lots of room for us all.
Plenty of activities to do.
The house is gorgeous and as pictured.
We had such an amazing time!

A great 10 days at the Sand Lake House.
Even on two days of rain the lake location was beautiful, and peaceful.
Lots of room for the 9 of us, plenty to do - use of the kayaks, paddle boards, pool table, table tennis - internet and cable TV - a home away from home, but on Lake Macquarie. Plenty to do nearby - recommend Lake Mac WaterSports for boat hire. Friendly local shops 1km away provide most day to day needs - bread, milk, paper, bottle-shop, groceries....etc
Generous sized and comfortable living, eating and sleeping areas - heaps of room over 2 levels.
Host Steven was easily accessible when needed for local advice.
I have had an association with Lake Macquarie for many many years, and Sand Lake House presents all of the benefits and beauty of Lake Mac - highly recommended.

The house is really lovely, lots of space, we had 8 adults & were very comfortable. Plenty of seating & big lounges. Plenty of plates, cutlery, cooking essentials & is great to have some of the basics provided as well. We loved visits from the local ducks, they didn’t like the lettuce as suggested but absolutely loved the peas!! Unfortunately it did rain for a few days of our stay, but having the pool table was a bonus! Our only suggestion would be to add a dryer into the house, as this would have helped getting towels dried, we did used the line provided in the garage but nothing was drying due to it being so wet. Stephens communication was great. Overall, it’s a really lovely house & the view is amazing, definitely worth a visit.

The property presented as listed, down to the fairy lights outside. The bedroom configuration and general layout suited 9 adults and 2 children perfectly. Enough room to be together and enough space to have some time to yourself. The garden was roomy for playing games and the jetty was a great fishing spot. The kitchen was also well equipped with enough glasses, crockery, cutlery and serving dishes. A bonus was the easy walking along the foreshore to go exploring. Overall, a fabulous house and location!

Stephen was very accommodating and easy to contact. The property has everything needed for a little getaway. Jetty in the backyard and the firepit were highlights, the pool table was a bonus. Ample space and beds. Would recommend this place :)

Our trip was so memorable, the location is so convenient for shopping. The house is very kids friendly we had marshmallows on the fire pit. Very spacious living areas as well. The only one thing I would recommend is it would be nice if we have dryers as the 4 days we at the house it was raining and even if we hang our clothes it would not dry up. Other than that, Stephen has been so accommodating and helpful. Will definitely recommend to family and friends as 4 to 5 star rating 🙌 Thank you Stephen for allowing us to create beautiful memories in this lovely home 🙏

It is a place were you can just unpack your bag and relax.
The house is clean and spacious with plenty of activities for everyone.
Stephen was very helpful and communicated quickly for enquires.

The location of the property is just beautiful, with the water’s edge just a few metres from the back deck. Peaceful, tranquil, calming…
Inside was also fabulous, with bedrooms and bathrooms galore - the upstairs master suite is amazing! Everything was very clean and beautifully presented.
The host, Stephen, is extremely professional and easy to contact.
We will definitely be back!

I think that the bathroom listing should just say 3 bathrooms with two separate toilets and not 5 bathrooms - 3 bathrooms -2 half bathrooms which I interpreted to be 2 ensuites and not 2 toilets which was the reality.

The Sandhouse was booked to celebrate a 30th wedding anniversary with family. It lived up to its listing. We had a great time enjoying the house, lake and the surrounding area. Thank you

The property and location is amazing! Very spacious, with almost everything for a weekend away already provided. We spent the weekend away as a group of 7, which all had such a great time. The weather ended being the best, which allowed us to use the kayaks/board to further explore the location. This place is a home away from home, it was that comfortable!
The check in / check out communication was just unbelievably so easy. I've never communicated with any other owners as well as I did with Stephen.
We all thank you for such an amazing experience and look forward to visiting again.

No need to leave the property with all the games, beautiful views and the fire pit. Great communication from Stephen and we were able to check in early which was a huge help for us. Would highly recommend!

The accommodation was absolutely perfect for our family getaway. Lots of activities to keep everyone busy no matter the weather. Great kitchen with everything needed. Bedrooms were wonderful and one family member commented the best bed she has ever had. Hope to come back soon!

We stayed with 3 other friends and their kids over the weekend, the location and the house is just fantastic, it’s one of those park your car and forget kinda holiday where we had plenty to do at the house for kids and grown ups alike.
Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a getaway with a group of friends or family.

This property was truly so perfect for our weekend. The house was extremely clean and well prepared. There was ample space for us all to sit back and relax. Cannot recommend this property enough, will try come back on summer to enjoy the water!

Beware you get blame for damage to property even after you show them photos of it been there before
Got the in the rain keys weren't in the place as stated tried to call own no answer sat out side in the for an hour all the rubbish bins were over flowing with rubbish from people before charger me for rubbish not in bin Steven yes we left wet life gasket on the garage floor I would have drier them if you had a dryer
To Steve I sent you a phone with time and date of the damage you rubbish is full can't empty the fire pit and how do you deprogram a garage door you door stop working the weather is raining for the life gaskets and it's raining you have no dryer in the laundry

Family Reunion
We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at this well appointed property. As Grandparents spending time with two of our children and their families it was ideal. The kids had a terrific time playing pool, ping pong and kayaking. The kitchen had everything we needed and the deck and bbq were fabulous. It was so relaxing to sit by the fire pit and have the view of the lake at the end of the garden
All the beds were comfortable with good quality linen. The bathrooms are modern and very clean
If you are looking for a place in a beautiful setting with plenty to keep the kids and the adults happy, this is it.

Family getaway
We loved this place. Absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. The place is perfect for a family group with everything we needed. There were two luxurious baths which were much appreciated too. Loved the firepit and the various watercraft got a good work out as well. We were lucky to get a late checkout which was excellent as well.

Perfect accomodation for a large family
My husband and I had an amazing week at Stephens property, even though it was only the 2 of us the house was perfect, we have told our friends and family that we would love to come back and hire the house again with them to enjoy this beautiful holiday home.

Outstanding!
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time, the house was immaculate, very clean and had everything we needed on hand. Wonderful views and stunning sunsets! We enjoyed taking our boat out every day which was conveniently parked at the private jetty in front of the house. Communication with the host Stephen was very easy and efficient, he was always helpful. We will definitely be booking again.

Best ever friends Getaway !
We stayed at this beautiful property with 3 other couples. I can honestly say this is the best property we have ever stayed at - the owners have thought of everything (including basic kitchen and cleaning items).
Spotlessly clean and comfortable we had a ball using all of the included fun stuff - Kayaking & Paddle Board on the lake, Fished off the Jetty, Played pool, sat under the tree and read my book - had something for everyone.
We are already planning our next stay !

Absolute bliss
We had the best experience from booking the accomodation and throughout our stay. The property is spacious and had lots of entertainment for our 8 and 6 year old. It was a lovely stay. The host of the property was a fantastic to deal with, we are definately going back!

Had an awesome three day getaway with my family. Beautiful clean home with all its amenities,and amazing view. The weather was amazing we also took our boat we had a great time. What a fantastic house. We’ve stayed at a number of holiday homes, and I can’t think of one that was so thoughtfully presented and organised. Board games, fun equipment and just all the little things which add up to making it a pleasure to stay.

Fabulous getaway
We had a fantastic week away with family and friends. A beautiful spacious, clean and well equiped house. Location and scenery was amazing. There were plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained indoors and outdoors for the adults and the children. Great communication with the owner regarding queries. Would definitely come back!

A wonderful family holiday
We enjoyed everything about our stay. With 4 boys, the property was set out well and had lots of activity for the boys of all ages to do. There was also a lovely shady tree in the backyard to sit with a wine and relax.

We had a lovely family holiday at Sand Lakehouse. The house was fantastic with a beautiful view. We enjoyed the kayaks, table tennis, pool table & fishing off the private jetty. Great for everyone
Such a great space. Perfect size for three families, without anyone getting suffocated. Loved the table tennis. Sunsets off the jetty were glorious. Lake was perfect for swimming.
