Lovely views of the valley and hills. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our hosts were so helpful with directions to hiking trails and great local restaurants!

Very nice family and house. We stayed there for several days and visited Tuscany. Great location and close to train and highway. Would definitely stay there again.

A lovely rural retreat with great views! Spotlessly clean accommodation with lots of practical equipment supplied. The family, Fausto, Flavia and Anna couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming, such lovely people! Great location to see surrounding towns and cities.

We had a cookery lesson which was great fun - learning how to make pasta. The pool was lovely, the kitchen well equipped and the beds comfortable. The only downside was the mosquitoes!

We stayed for 7 days in August - a family of 4, including two girls aged 11 and 14. The property was beautifully furnished and included all the extras needed (fans, pool towels, kitchen pans, hair dryer, iron etc). The family gave us a very friendly welcome and were always available for any queries. The view from the terrace is stunning and the pool is beautifully laid out also. We were able to visit lots of interesting towns and Siena/ Florence/ Perugia easily from this location and we loved the region. We would definitely recommend this cottage and the area to other families planning a holiday.

Our stay in Castiglion Fiorentino far exceeded our expectations. Anna, Fausto, and Flavia were very kind and made sure we were as comfortable as possible. Their hospitality made us want to stay forever! We traveled from Los Angeles with our family of 4 and arrived very tired and hungry. They made sure we had everything we needed to recover from our long travels and pointed us in the right direction for local grocery stores and restaurants in the city center. The scenery was breathtaking and we enjoyed the sunset every night on the lawn with a glass of wine. We will be back!

Had a wonderful stay in the well equipped cottage. We were only staying as a couple with our baby but it could easily accommodate a larger family or two couples.

We fell in love with Tuscany and a lot was due to the beautiful experience we had at Flavia and Fausto's villa. This couple and their daughter Anna welcomed us and helped us discover the best parts of Tuscany. The villa was across the property from their home. It was spotless, rustic beauty and homey With amentIties so we could make ourselves at home. If we return with our friends and bring our adult children we'll be fighting over who gets to stay at this villa. Great views, heart of Tuscany, wonderful host homeowners. My sister and I stayed in this very comfortable and historic vacation home during the last week of March 2014. Flavia, Fausto and Anna (their daughter) are wonderful hosts, extremely helpful (we had a flat tire) and accommodating! The house itself boast of heated floors (ground level only), a spacious living area, very comfortable bedroom areas, well equipped kitchen, very nice bathrooms. My sister and I were on a rather extended vacation and decided before we ever made plans that we would NOT share a bedroom (or a bathroom, if we could help it). We knew we were going to be with each other for many days on end, and we figured that we'd like some "alone" time along the way. Most of our accommodations were hotel varieties and met our standards/needs... but this charming stop along the way was hard to leave! AND, we also had access to the family washing machine (Flavia gave us a key to use whenever we needed it). The location was ideal, giving us easy access to Cortona, Arezzo and many other villages. The owners made recommendations for restaurants that were spot on!!! Some of the best meals we had during our 5 country journey were right around the corner!

La Tabaccia is situated in beautiful countryside just outside the old hilltop town of Castiglion Fiorentino with its fascinating Tuscan architecture, restaurants and shops - and friendly inhabitants. Florence is within easy access by train and the cottage is well-situated for sightseeing trips around Tuscany and adjoining areas. The accommodation is attractive and comfortable with lovely views from the kitchen, upstairs bedroom and the garden. Flavia, Fausto and Anna couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful in every way, and made our stay a delightful one. It was ideal for 2 couples and we would be happy to stay there again.

The location of this property is perfect. It is close enough to the town for shops restaurants etc, but just rural enough that it feels to be in the middle of the countryside. The swimming pool is excellent for cooling down during the hot Tuscan summers. The view from the kitchen and from the patio area looks across the valley at the town which is impressive both during the day and at night. Flavia, Fausto and Anna were the perfect hosts being available to answer any questions and to give advice on the best places to visit, eat etc.

Accomodations were as good or better than advertised! We enjoyed sitting under the gazebo and watching the valley below with our wine & snacks. Flavia & Fausto were very friendly and helpful, printing out train schedules to Firenze, and getting us directions to our next locale. Also helped immensely in retirving a lost article from a prevbious stay. We enjoyed our stay very much. Only drawback was that business kept Fausto busy most of our visit and we saw little of him.
