With open doors, Pamela welcomed us with appetizers , indoors Outdoors such warmth with positive vibes* Our dog had a blast here running around each of the 3 levels. We are looking forward to coming back again to their home, more time this summer in Malibu! Absolutely will be taking a Drive North of the coast to see more beautiful beaches She also gave us a tour of another Home where Big Little lies and Selena Gomez Chef show and Hannah Montana TV show was filmed Such a lovely feeling in their home knowing that there is hot tubs with sauna and steam shower.. Welcome to your nightmare…The photos are beguiling especially if you like old world and European charm. The exterior is stunning…it feels like true Tuscany. But that is far from the reality once inside. Her décor in the house is an eclectic mess, makes one feel like you’ve gone insane. The exterior is stunning…but it’s all smoke and mirrors. It’s fraudulent. Once you get inside, it’s a house of horrors. Advertised and promised as dog friendly. This house would be sheer death for any tame pets. No fences, hillside drop-offs, and wild coyotes at the front door and circling the property trying to get to my three dogs (one small, two mediums). Not only was it hazardous for my dogs, but I couldn’t have small children there either. Once there Pamela, the owner, kept saying the dogs need to be on leashes both inside and outside the house. Insanity. This was not mentioned prior to us booking, though we made it very clear that we had three dogs, and even had a conversation with Pamela about our love for our dogs. Not only is the outside not dog friendly, but the inside is also not dog friendly. My little one almost cracked his head open. It is not JUST hazardous…it is a death trap to dogs and children, certified death. Pamela claimed to have spent days cleaning the home for our arrival which doesn’t add up because I rented the house for one month within two days. Oddly, Pamela met us to tour her home and give us the dos and don’ts. ‘Don’t touch these glasses don’t use these plates. These are ok these are not, don’t use the filtered water from the fridge.’ Helpful were her instructions on how to operate the media room but it lasted 45 minutes. Desperate for her to stop talking and let us unwind, unpack, and get our bearings. Master closets were locked. No closets in the entire house were available. Locked out. Glass dishes were chipped to the point of cut lips and/or swallowing bits of glass. Left in the fridge was a very used, very dirty egg holder covered in yolk. Pubic hair in used bars of soap. Not fresh. No lie. I have pictures to back this all up. In my honest to GOD opinion, something is not right with this rental and its owner. The whole experience is schizophrenic…or there are real polarities going on. She babbles, gabs, vents, is a know it all, guilts, gets sisterly, is authoritative all in 5 minutes. I planned on 30 days and lasted 1 night

Overall the property was excellent and as advertised, it is a bit of a hike to paradise cove and unusual high temperatures probably made it seem a bit longer, and the house for the first day a little warmer as well. Once it cooled down the house was cooler and the beach walk got shorter. As the host suggests Zuma beach is much better and worth the short drive to get there. My son and I did virtual PE there since that was his last class of this virtual school age. We had 3 kids and all doing virtual schooling so the wifi worked great to handle the load. Having more than 6 does limit the ability to go out for dinner, but we had no problem with restaurant delivery and leveraged that for a couple of the nights. It was awesome to get away and spend some very quiet nights at the villa and my family got some awesome pictures!

We had a large group of 11 people across two families. We were looking for a big house that could accommodate all of us and this property was perfect!!! It is a beautiful Italian villa set into the Malibu hills. It feels very secluded and private. However, the house is close to everything you would want to do in Malibu!!! Minutes from Zuma beach, Escondido Falls, the Malibu Pier, Lily’s Malibu, Pepperdine University, Point Dume State beach, paradise cove beach cafe. It’s a little bit a walk (~1.5 miles), but you can take a lovely hike to the beach. It’s also removed for the busyness of LA, but close enough to get into the city with ease. The location is perfect. We walked up the hill several times a day for a beautiful view of the ocean during the day or the stars at night. Joseph and Pam were incredibly kind and gracious hosts. We have used VRBO numerous times and they were by far the most inviting and welcoming. They met us when we arrived to show us around the property. They had a small welcome gift for us. Between our pre-trip interactions and their welcoming introduction, we felt like we were staying at a friends house. We used the sauna almost every night, which after very full and active days, was a great way to wrap up the day. This is a special property with special owners/hosts. Thanks so much Pam and Joseph for your graciousness and hospitality. We look forward to staying at your house when we come back to Malibu.

When we check in first thing she did comment on our big Van then she showed us her house she was not wearing mask she was touching everything without gloves and even I requested her we have to clean the house and knobs and bathrooms she does not have proper toiletries I brought my own she told me don’t use this oven or that over this pan don’t use this the dishes. I went to target and got a new bedding and sheets I can send a receipt how much I spend in target to just get a new bedding because they smell . Ignore everything as I want to spend good time with my kids call her there was a cockroach in house there was a spiders in house when I called her and she said there is no way she have a cockroach in her house then actually I killed one in the kitchen next morning it was crazy hot and AC was not working. I don’t want to be rude still didn’t call her she called me to check on me . she started complaining that she’s need to have a positive not negative comments she’s renting this house for 10 years and never had a issue and smshe’s told me I can go to beach take my kids to beach uf it’s too hot.It doesn’t look like a rental property she was living in house as routine .She told me I’m lucky that she have a AC in her house there $1 million house in Malibu doesn’t even have AC There was a little space in the fridge she have her personal stuff in a refrigerator the couch in the movie room was dirty used toothpick in a cupholder we actually clean the house She told me that she’s having housekeeper coming at eight I told her I cannot let anybody in until I’m here because I don’t know that person is exposed or not expose due to Covid. I told her we can check out early if she can hold until 10 we left 930 I called her and inform her we are leaving she sent me pictures of AC pannel and table those are old spots It was nice neighborhood big house but this is not a vacation house or vacation property this is their personal home where they’re living and when they rent they just go to the Marriott the house is very low maintained

House is unbelievable and hosts are a delight.
