A yurt vacation is a bucket list item and if you’re going to do it, this is the place. Our hosts were the best and literally were available for anything we needed, even when we requested last minute flashlights so we could hike Cadillac Mountain in the dark to arrive a sunrise (another bucket list item and must do). The location was ideal for both enjoying Acadia and all it has to offer as well as proximity to all 3 harbors. Every recommendation they had for food and activities was spot on. Oh…and eat at Beal’s…best seafood on MDI. Thanks for a vacation to remember and we’ll definitely be back.

Aaron & Karen are awesome and know how to ensure guests are relaxed, comfortable, and taken care of! The yurt was a fantastic way to be "comfortably" close to nature, easy access to EVERYTHING Acadia offers, and all the little considerations were evident. The property is wonderful, the water pressure from every faucet/shower was AMAZING, and even the sound machine to ensure the birds didn't wake us too early was a lovely and useful surprise! HIGHLY RECOMMEND to any family traveling to the area that wants to "camp" without camping!

What a GEM! This was one of the greatest highlights of our visit to Acadia. We were pleasantly shocked at how spacious the Yurt was. Everything was so comfy and cozy but we never got in each another's way...there were 4 of us. The water pressure was remarkable, makes showering after a long day of trekking a joy. We enjoyed coffee outside our yurt every morning and tea in the evening. The kids had a blast. Our hosts were great, Aaron greeted us our first day in the rain and guided us to our unit. We'll be back with friends and family next time.

We had such a comfortable stay at Acadia Yurts! It had everything we needed and had great decorative touches. This experience of Acadia and staying in a yurt was new to us, and it couldn’t have gone better!

This was a perfect landing spot for our family’s first vacation with our 7-week-old. We were able to easily access Acadia National Park and the nearby downtown of Southwest Harbor was adorable. The yurt was clean, comfortable, and had everything you could dream of needing for a vacation stay. We even utilized the lobster pot one evening to steam our own fresh lobster thanks to great recommendation from the owners Aaron and Karen. A perfect stay!!

Staying at the Acadia Yurts was one of the highlights of our trip to Acadia. The Yurts are spacious, clean, well designed, and came with literally everything we needed for our visit. The bed and couches were extremely comfortable. The yurts sit on a beautiful piece of forested property and made us feel very close to nature throughout our stay. We were even able to charge our EV overnight at an outdoor outlet on site. Karen and Aaron were extremely responsive to our questions before and during our stay and went above and beyond to make our trip perfect. During the first night of our stay, a major storm knocked out power to most of the greater Acadia / Mount Desert Island region and by 7 am they already had emergency breakfast/coffee, and a generator running in their wellness center, allowing their guests to start their day without a hitch. These Yurts are a no brainier if you are planning a trip to Acadia with a car. If you opportunity to book a Yurt here, consider yourself lucky!

We absolutely loved our yurt from Acadia Yurts. Karen and Aaron have created a wonderful community here and we easily LIVED for our week here. Thoughtful furnishings plus extras available to borrow made us very comfortable.

It was sort of a bucket list item to stay in a yurt so when we discovered these we took the plunge. We had no idea what to expect and we ended up just loving it! All along the way Karen was so great with answering all my many many questions. Check in was so easy, the grounds were so peaceful, the yurt was just amazing with everything we needed and set up so well, the bed so comfortable, etc. It was an easy drive to downtown and not far to get to so many places in the park. After spending the whole week there we still weren't ready to leave!! They also have a wellness center that wed didn't take advantage of but would have been wonderful and is such a great bonus. We would definitely love to return someday and will be talking about that stay for years to come for sure! Such a friendly, peaceful, cute place!

When you see the sign that says “Comfortably Close to Nature” they hit the nail on the head. Acadia Yurts give a perfect mix of nature and comfort. We stayed in Dorr Yurt for 7 days with 3 adults and 1 teenager. There was more than enough room for moving around and sleeping. We were only 5-10 minutes to everything we wanted to do on the quiet side, but also close enough to Bar Harbor to drive back and forth daily. The kitchen had every thing we needed, and for anything extra, the laundry shed had it all. We even made a full 3 course fish/lobster feast for 4 people with ease! (Courtesy of the lobster pot in the laundry shed). The owners were both extremely responsive and courteous. We really felt that we were “home” for the week. We will definitely be returning!!!

Acadia Yurts was the perfect spot to stay in MDI. It was peaceful, super well cared for, and clean. It was so handy to have the kitchen to cook meals and prep food for longer days out hiking. Aaron and Karen were wonderful and responsive hosts as well. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for a week in September and had a fantastic time. The yurts are gorgeous and super comfortable. Very clean and well kept, and nestled in a nice little yurt village in the woods. The owners are very nice and responsive and also run the wellness center where you can do yoga, massage, sauna and flotation. Great location on the quieter side of Acadia and easy to get to, we highly recommend them.

Just a wonderful and unique experience staying in the Acadia Yurts and enjoying the beautiful scenery of Bar Harbor and the Acadia National Park.. we appreciated the hospitality.

My husband and I were never in Maine and I saw these Yurt online and couldn’t resist! I am handicapped and stayed in the handicapped Yurt, it was perfect I was able to move around in my wheelchair and everything was very comfortable and clean! It is very close to the park and Bar Harbor which was beautiful. Everyone we met was very friendly. The you Karen for the great communication and creating a wonderful vacation spot for people of all ages.

Amazing and unique way to experience the Acadia region! Staying in a yurt was a bucket list item for our family and we are so glad we did it! Wonderful, clean and unique accommodations… even our two teenage boys loved it and that is saying something!

Quiet side of the island. Still well within Easy drive to anything on the island. Lovely clean yurt with so much space I never had any complaints from my kids about the place.

I have been visiting MDI for over 40 years and I have stayed in many places. Acadia Yurts is my favorite place to stay and glamp.

Great location on the quiet side. The yurt was well stocked and cozy on cool nights. Perfect for a family of four.

This property did not disappoint. Such care has been taken in every detail from furniture to linens. The property/grounds were clean and very well taken care of. Host were great and responsive. Would highly recommend ❤️
